I personally think we deal Suarez at the deadline for some outfield or bullpen help and make Andy the new 5th starter for the rest of the year, keep him on a 5-6 innings per game kinda limit

Giving him the benefit of the doutb that he was dealing with injurie(s) to some degree for the next 4 games before going on IL...healthy for first ~1/3 of the season, less than healthy for ~2/3 of season. He's not Zach Wheeler or anywhere in the same universe, but he has shown flashes of brilliance. 2021 - 106 IP w/ 1.36 ERA, just another example. He's also gonna be in a contract year, and just hired Scott Boras as agent. Agreed that he's our 4th/5th starter if we're looking at the back half of 2024/last we saw of him, but don't sleep on him is all I'm sayin. He's no slouch, nowhere close.
They Should consider moving Ranger to set-up man or Closer. Might improve the Pen. I think not being use to starting his arm tired after mid season last year.
Phillies have an all around winning environment. Starting from extra deep pocket owner Mr John Middleton ( best sports owner Philly ever had ), GM Dave Dombrowski who already won a World Series with two other teams and great hitters. Pitcher Nola has me worried in that lately he has been giving up too many home runs.
He'll be doing the Spencer Turnbull job if he shoes up strong (roids) and ready to pitch for spring training. If he doesn't do anything in camp he will be cut. They'll know early whether he'll be doing anything. They need that roster spot. Hopefully he's not a sunk cost.
Tipped you before on two things that wouldn't happen if you remember, even to the point of the prospects offered. If not, no biggie. Got told they were going after Luzardo on Friday by a former Phillies base coach. Boston had gone after him already, as had the Orioles. Keep in mind, I'm not a scout. I'm curious if we view Justin Crawford as our future in the outfield and I have no idea what position he would play because I don't watch minor league baseball, but if he was our future center fielder then would we even need Johan Rojas and could we just use him as a trade piece as well? I know we were disgusting potentially trading him at the deadline last season, but we never did. I just think it will be redundant having him and having someone like Brandon Marsh and Justin Crawford is on the way as well.
Lezardo is a dominent strikeout lefty. Absolutely nasty against heavily - left handed hitting lineups. Beat the Phils twice last year. Only question is his health, missed time often last year.
Trading Suarez would be a major mistake. Ranger had some issues at the allstar break but he was lights out the best pitcher the first half. Ranger blows smoke
