MattBrandCars I was almost all in on the Volvo XC40 but couldn’t justify the cost. I did order a RAV4 back in Jan but Toyota can’t confirm it will arrive before the end of the year!!! So I pivoted to the Corolla.
I’m not sure how deleted comments work. I can still see it. I said: The 2020 model of this hatch in the United States does not come with a spare, just a flat kit which adds to cargo space. Also has a different roof color option. I’m doing well. I’m looking to buy a slightly used manual version of this car. I like how it drives like the 7th generation Civic it would replace. It comes with CarPlay and I also like the safety features, especially the lane warnings as I often have trouble looking over my shoulder.
The 2020 model of this hatch can come with a spare. I know this because I have a 2020 6-speed hatch SE, and it has a spare. :) The flat kit and deeper trunk space is offered as an option. Since I live in the Midwest, where we get a ton of potholes in the winter, a flat kit is unacceptable. If you hit a really deep pothole and bend your wheel, you need a replacement tire.
hamsterama that’s good to know. I currently drive a 2019 XSE manual, which I ended up getting new when I got a great price on it. Love this car, although with this lockdown, it’s hard to call it a daily driver. Also, I’m 52 and have never had the necessity to change my car’s tire by the side of the road. Did help my sister once though, in high school. So maybe more trunk room would be good for me.
@@generallyhelpfulsoftware646 I wanted the XSE but....It's not pothole-friendly. I loved the leather, heated seats, but it's got those thinner tires, which leave your vulnerable if you hit a pothole. I live in Ohio, and our roads in the winter are horrible. I'm 35, and I've never had to change tires on the side of the road, either LOL! But, knock on wood, the only auto accident I've ever experienced was when I was a pre-teen. My mom hit a patch of ice on the interstate, a wheel hit a guardrail (I think), and an axle broke as well. The only way to get home was to put a spare tire on. That experience is forever burned into my memory. Which is why I would never drive a car that doesn't have a spare tire.
I'm considering getting the corolla hatchback 2020 1.8 from the Toyota approved occasions, but it has 127.000km and it costs 19.890€. My question is, is it worth the price, for that amount of km? Thanks!
Congratulations! I had a similar issue in my daily driver Ford Falcon with a plastic steering wheel. I went to a wreckers, bought a leather steering wheel off a more expensive model, and got the dealer to replace it! All up it cost me $250AUD, and if was very worth it! I absolutely recommend it 😊
Ram Jay There’s basically 2 trims for the corolla hatchback, SE and XSE. I believe they each come in a manual or CVT transmission. The SE comes with the 16” wheels and the XSE comes with the 18” wheels. They differ slightly, but they are the same car internally(by that I mean engine and transmission).
Really, pay a few more thousands and get the fully loaded much better looking, better functioning ZR, XSE or whatever it is in your country. Getting the stripped out version you will constantly have buyers remorse whenever you see the ZF drive by you. The base is for rental companies
The ZR is almost $10,000 or 50% more here in Australia. I agree avoid the base model if you can, but I also get why people don't want to spend that much more!
urethane steering wheel wont become glossy like leather or fake leather or the fuzzy cloth thing. you better wear gloves for all those because they will get ruined and no one can clean them lol
Not just a steering wheel, you get plenty more inclusions for that money. How exactly am I trying to "upsell" anything? If I were truly trying to sell it wouldn't I push the more profitable ZR?
This is the most stupidest review. His positives are actually negatives e.g. keyless fob, and his postives are actually negatives, e.g. automatic transmission, acceleration, lol.

Hey Matt. I did just buy the ZR. Can’t wait to pick it up this week. Great reviews keep up the awesome work.
Thanks Wayne! And congratulations!! What colour did you get it in?
MattBrandCars red with the black roof
Awesome, congrats! Always exciting buying a new car

It's a great car. Manual with the 2.0L would be super fun, it just takes a little away from the autonomous driving side of things!

Great review. LOVE this car!
Beautiful man. Beautiful car. 🥰
The SE Nightshade black or white look so sexy imo, better than any other colors
They do look great, I think all the colours look great honestly
You got this colour in the base model? Here in Canada, that colour only comes in the 3rd trim level. XSE
Ah I hate when manufacturers do that! Give me any damn colour at every price point!
Blizzard pearl looks great.
Ive just put a deposit on the sx. Great review!!!
Congratulations! 💃 Very exciting
@@CarSauce thankyou :) i was doubting my decision but u just made me realise it wasnt.

Dear Sir,
There are two cars incon tech 16 inch alloy wheels and incon tech design 18 inch alloy wheels. Does that make any big difference in driving?

The SE comes with the 16” wheels and the XSE comes with the 18” wheels. They differ slightly, but they are the same car internally(by that I mean engine and transmission).
Hey Ram, the 16 inch is a more comfortable ride because there is more tire tread (rubber). But, the 18 inch wheels definitely look better!
@@CarSauce Can, you covert a SX to 18 inch?
@@battletv777 yes, the wheel arches are big enough. You would need to change tires as well of course to a smaller width though
Will this be a bad idea for a rear facing baby car seat?
Would been better to buy the next grade on SX model than based model. Cheers
Just accidentally deleted the only comment on the video. How's your day going?
Is it the same touch screen resolution as the 2019 Corolla
Love an Aussie video for a change. 🎉🫡👍
Does the base model interior light up blue?

Not everyone spends money on depreciating assets for egotistical purposes.
Why not a manual is it not good to have?
it’s better

I am buying the same car in December silver one😂😂
Awesome! I hope you like it!
please address the huge recall for the CVT failures. Do not trust this new CVT transmission.
it was only 3,400 cars for the 2019 not 2020
Sliver in UK
I saw a silver today, it helps accentuate the lines really well 🙂
Tiny boot, no rear air vents.
I'll go for the i30.

This isnt the USA verison...
That's because its the Australian version! Almost identical, apart from some aesthetic differences
@@CarSauce yeah US looks better
Ever heard of a steering wheel cover? Geez.. not exactly worth an extra 4 grand for a steering wheel. I think you are trying to upsell
