And the second goal on the scenario is "5 journal _disks in the ocean_", which you also do not have. You journaled 5 times, but I guess you lost one of the discs for the "remove one disk in depth 1 or 2" setback? Which probably also threw off your count of completed ocean tiles. Sorry, only 2 completed goals ;)
This solo game is rough man, I barely get two goals, I couldn't imagine anyone beating legendary mode in seven turns. It's rough not constantly wanting to do dives for extra anything while you need to do other things for the goals. I do thank you for the tips in doing combos to get more impact tokens.
Hi John, at 19:06 I do think you have the four zones goal completed. How else can you have 5 journal cards out but only 4 journal discs? My take is that you maybe forgot to put out a journal disc on vulcanic island during play. If so you actually did win even without the impact scoring goal. Loving the game solo until now, struggling to get as much goals completed as possible but getting better and better at it.
The upper left setback card is "loose one disk in depth 1 or 2 your choice", so that is probably where that got lost. And that also means that the second goal of the scenario (journal _disks in the ocean_) is not complete.
Is the replayability there for this one? When you crack the puzzle for eqch scenario does the game offer tools to mix it up for more playthroughs or if you know how to crack it its no worth revisiting?
I think so. Since there are 10 missions and each of them will play out with different random objectives besides the fixed 4 and each time you draw zones you will get a random set of 2, I don’t think you can effectively solve it. It comes down to seeing how efficiently you can implement your strategy for the mission. So, once you have a good strategy for a given mission, you still have to figure out how to execute it. And then with 4 different difficulty levels, you will have your work cut out for you.

I love how your last turn went btw, so much stuff done, it was super fun even watching you play it)) Fantastic game! I've played my first 3 sessions yesterday. Was able to accomplish 6 goals on my second and third tries once I figured how the whole thing works. For me it's a great efficiency puzzle with lots of variables to make even the same mission. different.
@@JohnLaRuffa Yeah, you don't score points for goals on the side of the board (for sonar, etc). Look closely at the goal on impact board (in dark blue color) - it shows how in symbols how you score points. Also shown on the last page of the rulebook, under A

It is certainly tough. I still have only barely won it once. You really have to stay focused and think about synergies to make it all work.

Help me understand. So the points that I gathered from the goals don’t count towards the 20 that I need?
