  • This is another recording of my bath filling up. In this version, the mic (Rode NT2a) was in my study, which is the room adjacent to the bathroom. The background image in this video is a plan of my flat (apartment) which is on the first floor of the building, which is where my bathroom is located. I also have another floor above this, with two bedrooms. The red circle indicates the approximate location where I placed the mic.
All images, audio recordings and editing used to create this video have been created by me. I never use any content which belongs to others to create my videos!

Man you are knocking these out of the park...

I have the most wonderful memories of a childhood finding a safe place and bliss laying next to the bathtub. In the evening I would eagerly make my way to the bathroom, close and lock the door. Just imagining what I was about to do in and of itself gave me such joy. I would turn the water on to set the mood and then get my bath towels out and start preparing my nest. It was a ritual for me. I didn’t imagine anything other than creating a soft place to land. Once I had everything ready, I turned the water down low so I could savor the sound as long as possible. As the trickling, splashing sounds began, I crawled on to my safe place and covered myself as my head fell on the towel pillow. I was as close to the tub as I could get. Immediately I felt the tingles as I focused in on the sound of the water. I had the biggest smile on my face. My place. All mine. Safe. No worries or cares. Then, after a while as the water rose, I’d start feeling the occasional little splashes or drops come over the tub and hit my face. More tingles. I’d think how lucky am I that I get to experience this. No one can take this from me. Sometimes I would drift off for a bit. If not, I was at least in a good meditative state. After the tub was getting full, sometimes I would then slowly slide into the water feeling the luxurious warmth surround my body. Tingles. I would then scoot up close to the faucet and put my hands under the running water. Watch and feel it run over my hands thinking there is no better feeling in the world. More tingles. I never wanted to leave. I didn’t want to give up this sacred space. But, I always knew it would be waiting for me when I needed it and that gave me great satisfaction. I would eventually climb out, dry myself off with the soft towels and go climb into bed immediately luxuriating in the warmth and softness of the sheets and blanket. My fears and worries were set aside for a little while so I could sleep. Closing my eyes, I had wonderful thoughts of my next visit to the bathtub.

My dad would shower for work at like 5:30 everyday and this noise and knowing my dad was close by made me sleep so good

This is the sound that put me to sleep when I was a child. My bedroom was next to the bathroom. The sound is a combination of water running through the wall pipe and the water falling and splashing into the tub. It was so comforting to hear this sound on a cold winter night, already in bed but not yet asleep.

Not only was it a great sound to sleep to, but don’t you also think that the childhood innocence we had made it extra special? Don’t get me wrong, I can still enjoy this today. 😊

Like a lot of the people that comment on this, it takes me back to being 11 yrs old. My two cousins and myself used to, have to wake up at 3am every morning to go to our grandmother's house because our parents had to be at work at 4am and she took us to school. Grandma would take a shower after ahe got us back in bed and it was magical how that sounds put us to sleep! She has passed away now but this video takes me back to many memories @ 16 Pecan Lane. Thanks for making this video! If you only knew.

Do you want eternal life? Do you wish to end sorrow and depression in your life? Look no further. Jesus is the answer. Accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and you will have eternal life and be saved. The evidence that the bible is real and true is out there, do not be deceived by the luxuries of this world, and the fleeting pleasure of sin. Come to the light of God, being righteousness, love, life, and truth. God loved you, Jesus Loved you, and now it is time for you to love them too.

I have such a stressful job as an EMT. I have been waiting for this sound for YEARS. This takes me back to when I was a little kid. My room was separated from the shower by a single wall. At night when my parents would take a shower, I’d fall asleep to this noise. Thank you. (Maybe combine with a more muffled version of the pipes and it would be EXACTLY what I remember). But finally, After so many years I finally Have this. Literal goosebumps. Thank you.

Thank you so much for this. When I was little I used to wake up early when my mom would get a bath and I would lay next to the bath tub. I’d fold a towel for my head and cover myself with another towel and press my ear to the ground to hear the heavy water running through the pipes. It would put me right to sleep and I’d be at complete peace. To this day anytime someone takes a bath or shower I get in bed and try to fall asleep before they’re done. The only problem is knowing they won’t be in there all night. Thank you for replicating this!

This is perfect! I love it when I'm cosy in my bed, late at night someone will use the bathroom and the softened sound of running water comes through the wall from the other room. It's so comforting to hear a bath filling up or a shower running while you're nice and snug in your bed. But it's sad to know they won't be in there all night so you wait for the moment they stop the water and a feeling of loneliness washes over you as you notice the silence of the house. This sound gives me goosebumps and feels like home. Thank you

I love the variety of sounds water creates, the feel of hot water hitting you in the shower, the sound of waves crashing into each other, and onto the sand or just simply laying in a hot bath, relaxing and letting your skin soak up the water until your fingers and toes are pruned like a raisin! ☺️

Long version of this I beg you,like-literally beg..you know I've listened to your videos every single might for nearly 6 years? Every. Single. Night. And I'm always flicking through them all for that perfect feeling and it's always this, always, but because it's only 2 hours long I end up waking up to replay it but have always wondered if it was longer would I have a full nights sleep? Because this started happening to me very young,like...8 years old,i was diagnosed insomniac at 10 and then went through trials for 3 years for underage melatonin use and i cried and begged god to just let me sleep,as it was getting to the point where I was self harming to cope with it,as sleep deprivation- as we all know here-can really really damage your mental health, and I just sank to my knees in the bathroom and begged for a way to fall asleep...
And to stop my dad hearing me crying I turned the bath taps on and lay curled up against the radiator and the 2 sounds knocked me out for 6 and a half hours, the 3rd longest sleep I've had since I was 10&this is near duplicate of what that sounded like then. So,yeah...sorry was so long winded,im smiling because I know you will be reading this while trying to stay awake ;) as this noise is *that* good mwuhahah,so stop reading and go to sleep 💕

Whenever a bath was run I'd lay down a towel next to the tub, fold another towel as a pillow, then lay down and cover myself with a third towel, pretend I was in a cave, all safe and sound, press my ear up against the bath, while blocking my other ear off, and feel the sound of the running water reverberate through my body, sometimes peak through the small patch of light near my feet, like the entrance to a cave far away, sometimes rest my arm out on the cold tiles on the floor or the side of the bath, I await the one who has done the same...

I can’t even relax until I can figure out how many rooms this house has,and is that a red circle with body outline in the center. With that being said now listening closely. Doesn’t it sound like scary whispering at times 😅🧐😬
