I’m only 11 I have really bad anxiety and ADHD. I love to journal at the end of the day to calm me down :) I have a journal, a gratitude journal, and what I like to call my everything journal. I want to combine my gratitude journal and everything journal, oh and I forgot I have a list making journal, into a bullet journal! If I do I will wait till the end of the year because I can’t stand finishing journals in the middle of the year!!!

This was inspirational to me, I wanted to start a bullet journal but since my handwriting is not like the popular type ones you usually see, but by watching this your handwriting is you and that made me start because you don't need good writing to do something you love.

I have just discovered Bullet Journals about 3 days ago and its right up my ally. I bought a journal today but the more videos i watch the more things I feel like i need to buy haha, such as that stencil you have :P. Thanks for the great video!
I know that feeling!! And the stencil I have was super cheap (1-2 dollars) so I'd say its definitely worth it! That being said, I started journaling with very minimal supplies and I think there's some good in that -- it helped me focus on finding my style and the methods that work best for me! Then once I had that down, I started experimenting with more and more materials. Hope you enjoy setting up your first Journal!!!

You can slowly build up your supplies. You can even put it down as your goals to save up for this or that. Don't feel pressure to buy supplies all at once. A lot of things you see people have on TH-cam bujo channels are supplies that have been accumulated over time. 🙂

i love bullet journalling but if i'm not productive for a few days i don't write in it so then i just stop because i don't like the inconsistency in it :( does anyone have any tips??
That happens to us all I think!! I sometimes go a day or two without using my journal (lazy weekend days, or days that are too busy to bother). But don't let that stop you from going right back to it!! Try incorporating it into your routine. For example, you could open your journal every morning after you wake up. Even if you don't need to use it for anything specific, just open it up and try and utilize it for something! Hope that helps.
It's also good to remember that the bullet journal is a system designed to make your life easier and LESS stressful. If you aren't using it for a few days (or even a few weeks like I've done before) it probably just means you didn't need it during that time. The important thing is to use it when you need it and not worry about feeling guilty when you forget it. Let it be a tool when you need to organize your life, a creative outlet when you need a break and a paperweight when it stresses you out more than helping you!
I go days and even weeks without using it cause I only use it when I need it. Because you are the one designing it, you don't need every single date in it. It is actually the main reason why I never liked normal journals cause one day is overfilled but then there is few days when I don't need it at all. Additionally, I find noting some things just time consuming like planning every single hour of your day when you already know what you need to do or/and it is scheduled elsewhere. Obviously it depends on a person, I am a student also working around 30h a week, meaning I need to find time for a lot of things but I also need to be extremely flexible. Sometimes just noting down what needs to be done and assigning days as I go is a better idea than making every day spread if that makes sense.
thank you everyone! i reset up my bujo in june and didn't use it as much as i planned but i still created a spread for july :-) it annoys the perfectionist in me but i'm glad to see that i'm still managing my productivity with it
I can go days or weeks without it, I only plan one week at a time and only plan weeks when I know I need it to organize my mind. Just don't stress over it too much :) . (I do get where you're coming from though. I have the same obsession with making everything look good and consistent but I find only planning some weeks works for me)

Your journal spreads are beautiful. I got tired of transferring info from my previous journals so here is what I did. I use a travelers notebook and put items that will stay the same in one insert like doctors and medications, favorite restaurants and menus, Makeup etc. and Then I use another insert for daily and monthly schedules and to-do lists. That way I don’t have to copy info into my new set up and I can keep the “lists” insert in the Notebook for years if need be.
Omg if only my handwriting was that neat. Your journal is what I have in my head but could not get it to come out like that on paper. It’s so pretty.

I would search in your local art supply stores! I think most carry similar types of stencils :)

I'm currently using a filofax but think about starting a bullet journal instead of it, just because it fits better into my bag and you can plan so much more with it! like do all kinds of lists and it doesn't really get messy and unorganized 🤔💫
yeah before i started bullet journaling, i tried loads of other planners and methods but none of them stuck. bullet journaling worked for me because it has no limits and no bounds which means you can always adjust it to work better for you!!

I love bullet journaling , but I can't get the doodles or anything to look right :(
Just keep practicing and focus more on the process rather than the outcome! The easiest way I've found to get better at drawing/doodles is to find step by step tutorials online! For example, I was shit at drawing flowers until I followed the tutorials by @bonjournal_ on Instagram. Keep it up!!! :)

Love your future log and monthly high and low priority goals. I may incorporate those into my own planner this year. Also love to see someone else who is ok with starting a new BuJo in the middle of a year and not just the beginning. I didn’t do much with my BuJo this year from June-November so I am beginning 2018 in the middle of my Journal. I was worried about not having the whole year in one journal but this eases my anxiety a little (can you tell I’m a bit of a perfectionist?!) 😊
I always start my new journal whenever I finish my old one, not matter when that is! Happy planning Christy 💕

I found leuchtturm paper to be far too thin personally. Now using a 150gsm paper ottergami which is much, much better (and cheaper)! It’s taken anything I could throw at it

If you're just starting off, I would go with something cheaper like Crayola supertips or Crayola broad tips to practice your hand lettering!! They are actually some of my absolute favorite markers to letter with (especially the Supertips), and they won't break the bank! so I'd say start with those, and as your skills develop and you know more what you want, you can then invest in other more high end products!

Your bullet journal is gorgeous! I love the set up for the new one and the last one. I'm planning to start one of my own this September for the start of my last year at uni. I do have a question though. What camera do you use for the photos from your old journal? And how do you stick them in? That's two questions. Sorry. But I really did enjoy this video! One of my favourites that I've watched so far!
They are just iPhone photos and I ordered prints from www.parabo.press/ -- I believe they have a promotion where you can order 25 prints for free. I then just stick them in with a double sided adhesive roller -- check out my supplies video if you want to see the adhesive roller I'm talking about :) I'm so glad you enjoyed the video!

S stands for started and F stands for finished! So once I start one of the tasks or one of the spreads on my bujo ideas list, I check off S and once I finish it, I check off F. Good luck with the beginning of your bujo journey!
This is way too much work for me. I just use my gmail calender and digital sticky notes. Works fine for me. I don't think I could handle a physical organization system.
It's definitely not for everyone -- that being said though, bullet journaling can be as simple or complicated as you want! Many people do put a lot of work into their journals, but it can really be as simple as you want and only take a few minutes of the day. But if you have a system that works for you, that's great!
