We live in Lourdes, Colon, La Libertad. I think I need to do a whole video on why we moved, it is a long story but it always go back to Canada is morally bankrupt.
Hello, the drawback that I see when making the transaction as you do is that the price of bitcoin is rising so it will become increasingly more expensive for you to buy bitcoin, try to transfer your money to a local bank, in the meantime use your money more debit card.
Thought to let you know that if you have a tangerine banking account in Canada you would be hable to make withdrawals for free in the Scotia ABMS in El Salvador. I have done it in the past.
I'm sure you get this question a lot but how is Bitcoin adoption there? For example around Santa Tecla or San Salvador? Do all supermarkets use it? Does Walmart, and Pricesmart use it? Thank you!
I have used it at Walmart and PriceSmart in Santa Tecla and Santa Elena. I could use it at Super Selectos as well we just haven't shopped there in a while. I have used it to pay my phone bill in the past, TIGO is upgrading their system now so it isn't available at the moment. I used it in the market at last year's visit. I honestly don't always think to ask if they accept it so I am not thinking of it at the time of checkout. I think more people need to start using it so it becomes common place.
@@hagenaarsfamily That seems like pretty good adoption to me. Obviously not every shop accepts it but seems like you could get by "mostly" using bitcoin, at least for groceries and visits to Walmart and such. Good to know. Thanks!
@@luissanchez-uu4ks sorry I was referring to adoption by the retailers . Not sure what the public acceptance or if things are going to change in the near future. I think if a bitcoines is looking for a country where he can buy things with bitcoin El Salvador is the only country doing that as far as I know .
