*** PLEASE NOTE: Since I made this video, the tool has changed slightly - it is now called 'Magic Replace' and there is an additional button on the top menu that says 'remove' that apparently does a better job of trying to just remove, rather than replace. I haven't had a chance to thoroughly test this out yet.
It is certainly a great tool in Photopea and I look forward to seeing new videos exploring this tool in countless possibilities and creativity (essential). But what I would really like to say is a compliment to this video and to you. A new tool is most times more complicated to understand, to explore alone but you explained it so well that it really seems like magic. Even explained important points for this type of tool, such as how and how much quality the merge is, the transformation with the original image... It was a special care and one of the starting points would be the doubts of many people. Congratulations, always a good job and a lot of quality. It makes the difference.
This is game-changing! I love AI helping us out with tedious tasks, but not letting them take full control. With this, you can have the AI do the heavy duty, while us humans chose the results from the AI's works so that it is perfect for our perspective of things. No matter the case, AI jobs will always need human intervention to make it work. It's a perfect match made!
This is fabulous - what we next need is a really good AI sharpen option. Failing that, a Gareth PRO video on how to get the best out of the existing sharpen tools would be wonderful. Thanks!
I fix that problem by mistake in one of my picture I was working I took the wrong picture and one AI TOOL fix that problem in a way I couldn't sleep that night just thinking about how much powerful this AI game is getting.
This is so good! Unfortunately I have the same problem, I click ok to watch the 2 ads so I can use magic replace, and the ads just don't show so I can't use it

amazing new feature, I would suggest the button instead of read "Remove" say something like "Process" or "Analyze" in my opinion would have a better understanding.
Having used it, this feature is a game changer. I have a lot of respect for the developer. My only concern is that if the AI computation is handled by a cloud server, it's likely that this feature will eventually be charged for due to computational costs. If so, do you have any plans to provide an option to set the computation to be done on a personal GPU?
Honestly, I have no idea at this point. Those decisions will be down to Ivan, who is the developer of Photopea. I will of course communicate anything relevant out in this channel if things change, but for the moment i'd expect it to stay as-is, apart form a few tweaks here and there.
This new tool from Photopea is really fantastic. Its great usefulness can be appreciated with the interesting example that you used to give the explanation. Open up a world of opportunities. In this regard, I have a question, how could the lighting be controlled or improved with the mini PROMPT of the new tool?
Thanks for the comment! I've not specifically tried using it to adjust lighting on images, but I plan to start making some regular, longer videos using primarily this tool to explore it's capabilities (and also shortfalls).
Hi I am a subscriber of Photopea and love it, thanks for the wonderful service you provide, I need your help can you please help in how to use it for restoring old photos please thanks?
@@reslynn You can't do that at the moment with this tool... it will only replace the area with a text to image generation. To replace with your own images, you will have to do it the 'old fashioned' way by compositing, using layer masks etc.
Interesting question: Is it possible to use this AI similar to Adobe's AI? (Outpainting, Inpainting, etc) or is that just not possible in Photopea right now?
😂 Yeah, it doesn't always get it right for sure. There are definitely applications where it works far better than others - depending on the subject, and type of request. I'm planning on doing a longer video soon showing more realistic scenarios of when it works well, and when it doesn't!
Hi. I'm not sure why you can't see it - it's in the same section of the tool bar as the healing brush / patch tool. Hold the shift key and press J to cycle through the tools in that section until you see the bit at the top of the screen that says 'new content'. hope that helps
Hi, I just tried again and it is working as far as I can see. Maybe, but sometimes it can be a bit fickle and not seem to do anything for a few clicks. Try restarting your computer, and trying again with a different image and see if that helps.
Hi, another clear and informative tutorial, thank you very much. I have a quick question: I have several interior design mockups, such as living room mockups, dining room mockups, kitchen mockups, etc. with a picture frame within them. Now, most of the frames are horizontal, in portrait orientation. I want to turn the frames into landscape orientation. Do you think this workflow can help me achieve that? If not, can you please make a tutorial on that? Thank you very much for your time and effort.

@@photopeapro you are right. I have used it for free by watching an add or sometimes 2 ads. It’s well worth watching the ads to be able to use this tool. However, if I used PhotoPea a lot, I would be more than glad to pay for this service.

does it need to run in the browser? Have any standalone app?
According to your website, it isn't free.
