Thanks for the summary of your trip. My wife and I rode to Sturgis before kids after the rally. After riding two up for 400 miles we get to the hotel and dyann said we’re 59 miles from Wyoming. We gassed up and rode to Wyoming and kissed at the boarder then rode 59 miles back to the hotel. This was 118 miles that was not even on our “C” list. Our next trip is to Colorado and I want to ride to the upper peninsula of Michigan.
hey man your a pretty cool guy its fun to listen to ya. so how did the pan america hold up against the road glide??? did u keep up or was it the other way around sounds like u had some big days i,m kind of wondering if you were wishing that you were on a touring bike instead.oh and fuel wise how did u hold up against the touring bikes ??
Good questions. I had no problem pulling away from the Road Glide. I was 300 pounds lighter weight wise, plus the 150 hp on the Pan America helps. I also have more lean angle so when the road glide was scraping pegs, I still had room to lean so I was faster in the twisties. In all honesty, I’m planning another trip to the Weat coast in 2024, and I’ll most likely take the Pan America again. Fuel wise, I averaged right at 40 mpg, the road glide averaged about 42. So it’s not a huge difference, but the Pan America cruises at higher rpm’s, so I’m guessing that makes the difference.
Great video Wayne!
Thanks Bruce!
+@navcop33 thx! 🏍️

That’s what I love about doing trips that aren’t scheduled real tight. Just add some stuff in.......
