When I was 5 years old my Dad sent me to my Grandmas for the day. I was outside her house playing in the yard by myself. I saw around 10 guys on bikes pass by and I waived at them. They turned around and gave me some stickers and told me they were part of a bike club. I asked them if I could ride one of their bikes and they laughed and said “sure”. One of them picked me up and put me on the front of his bike and took me on a ride around the park. They were so kind to me and made me feel special. When my Dad came and picked me up I told him I made some knew friends. He got happy and asked who they were. I told him they were part of a bike club and what we did. He thought I was just making it up or telling an imaginary story. But then I asked him if he wanted one of the stickers they gave me. I will never forget the look on his face when he saw the Mongols logo.

In my area growing up, the HA always kept a low profile and you only ever saw pictures of them in the paper after some major incident. They rode around doing their thing in a very authoritative but seamless and respectful manner. Ever since “ social media “ things have gotten more visibly showy.

The whole biker scene ain’t what it used to be, the newer generation of youngsters aren’t into harley’s, getting involved, and all that stuff. With the internet and tv, most youngsters see the drama that comes along with it and stay away from it. Not to mention there’s actually good biker dudes out there that advise youngsters NOT to join a biker gang.
