    You have a rare gift for teaching, John! I struggled with focus stacking for too long then your tutorial on this subject appeared and, for me, the nickel dropped!! Too many assume that we are all born with the skills that you have perfected....taint so! Thanks, John, ever so much!

    Fron PS i would not save as jpeg when you import back to lightroom

      Hi Tony, I’d only use jpeg for the final image if posting onto social media

    Wonderful captures but i wonder why don´t you use the focus bracketing option from your camera?

      I’ve owned a D850 for several years and only recently got unstuck and started using focus shift for macro, so much more convenient than any of my previous focus stacking methods.
