I am almost 57 years old and I get into this like some AC/DC headbanger from the 1980s/early 1990s. My brother got the DOOM 2 game and all we had was a Compaq 486. It needed more memory (at $180) to play DOOM, but, damn, when I got it - what a way to kill the time when I was unemployed/underemployed in 1995. This theme from The Pit always haunted and struck a chord with me. It is the best DOOM theme I have heard. A version very close to this is in the Brutal Doom Los Angeles Depot level. My 8 year old loves this as much as I do. Fantastic job!
I felt the same man.. I just got to discover these tracks... god, these are just amazing.. I hope this guy someday gets back to his covers.. he really made remember to those amazing days ...
I absolutely adore the creative liberties you took with this piece. It feels almost like a completely different track by the end, and I love how you pulled this off.
Amazing rendition of an epic track from such a classic. Played this game just before getting the original Quake in 1996, the first game I ever played online with other people. Still will never forget the great music from Doom and Doom II though. Thank you!
put it on 1.5x for some of the most holy metal your ears will hear, even being so fast, it sounds like it would be a song on rust in peace, keep headbangin' man🤘
I'm a Doom fan since i was 17 and i'm now 43 and I still thing it's the best game EVER!, it still rocks and enough to create remakes from the original music, congrats for your skills and quality!.
The best and more accurate performance of Sandy's City so far. Thank you for the time you put in, to entertain us. P.S. I hope when I restart the video is counted as "view" :)
Back here again to listen to this awesome cover! Very faithful *and* very creative at the same time, two things that are very hard to get right together. I also really like how it evolves as it goes on! You both include the instrument changes, and also incorporate the guitar with them. And most importantly, instead of making it metal all the way through, you keep the changes in mood like in the original: first it's like "yeah, let's do this!", then it gets a bit pensive, then it gets a bit sad. Yet you also put your own twist on them, actually improving it musically as well: you keep these mood changes from the original MIDI, but add complexity with the rebellious sound introduced by the guitar. It's like... Doomguy isn't just metal, he is deeply disturbed by what all the hellspawn has done to the Earth, yet the sadness quickly turns to rebellion and righteous rage. Overall, bravo.
I'm glad and i appreciate that somone finally did (i just found it) cover of tracks from this game with that engagement - guitar, percussion, montage and this Cacodemon. Looks that u are real fan of this game. Continue what you're doing because you're doing it right. Good luck.
Man, excellent choices on the bass line, really turned this song into a great piece to hear, and..... i never though of a Cacodemon plush lol Great remake man congrats.
The best Doom cover that I've heard in all of my life, you are a great guitarist, you are the man, congratulations, thanks for sharing this five amazing Heavy Metal covers of Doom soundtrack on TH-cam!
It's a shame Mick Gordon didn't create versions of this song on Doom Eternal, same goes for Running from Evil. The only song I did recognize was the Map 28 music but in a very slown down version :(
I wish there was music like this in the modern Doom games. Sure, I like the unbridled rage in music form but this kind just hits different. The new music is more angry The old music is more savage, cool and catchy. It really makes you feel like an unstoppable force.
Where's your full album of Doom covers, so I can create a .wad to have all the songs playing in-game ? :) I am already using a music cover mod, but I like that your covers are more faithful to the originals and less thrashy.
Welcome to Sandy's City! We hope you enjoy your stay! We have it all: Cacodemons, Mancubi and totally your favorite! PAIN ELEMENTALS! For real, I've heard quite a few astonishing covers including yours and even Andrew Hulshult's version of Sandy's City. But man, yours is, to me, THE BEST of all the Sandy City covers and will remain this way forever!
Hey Nemistade! It's great to see you back with new uploads. Looking forward to hearing some of your covers to Doom's newest tracks. I think you'll do a great job with them.
Wow awesome stuff! Wish I were as talented :D I've only recently picked up on how much of a deathgrip I've had on the fretting hand while playing over the years >_< Your hands just look chill and confident
I wish the Apple Music version sounded as good as this, the mixing is off for some reason. But hands down the best version of this song I don’t think it gets any better being close to the traditional music. Bravo.
That is a cacodemon, a monster from the Doom games. It floats and shoots out fireballs from its mouth. Big Mac Davis likes to chainsaw it when it gets close.

keep on rockin' it dude, and remember, DooM is Eternal
Nothing better then bonding with your father over doom, mine would laugh at me for humming the intermission song as well.
I felt the same man.. I just got to discover these tracks... god, these are just amazing.. I hope this guy someday gets back to his covers.. he really made remember to those amazing days ...
You'd probably love Sex Type Thing by Stone Temple Pilots, then...
Ok boomer.
Normally only bullets stop the cacodemon from attacking but your guitar did it. Your guitar play has firepower !
One of the best DOOM covers I've ever heard.
e
Yes. Like he plays it it drifts right into the Bombast Metal direction like Nightwish etc. Awesome work!!!

2016 version of Into Sandy's City now available on Spotify and Apple Music. Thank you.
Yes please!
LOL that cacodemon
LifeLikeSage your post made me laugh so hard and I don't even know why. I don't know what this is a reference to???
It's in reference to how that silent sky predator likes to fly in from above and sneak attack.
hahahahaha

Even the cacodemon knowledged that this is a banger
Remastered version now available on iTunes. Thanks for your support.
Who in the HELL are you? It's awesome! Have you contacted the maker of Brutal Doom?
OH MAN! you are FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCKING AWESOMEEEEEE!!!
Hope someday i'll be able to play the half of the fourth part as well as you do.

If you could record all Doom levels, it would indeed be the perfect soundtrack for the Brutal Doom Mod!! Amazing
***** This is awesome! Thanks!
And this track is also my favourite track of them all.
Brings back the childhood memories.

This needs more views. Seriously.
You mean 30 trillion views?
Yeah, man or woman, agreed
yes
It got there in the end. Faith in humanity restored, at least somewhat
@@arvindhmani06 still needs more though!
8 years later, still the most shredding, well made, close to the original, remake of the best Doom song!
You sir are a legend!
FINALY someone that gets this part done correctly 1:29
really love the new addition here 3:24 onwards
MAP09: The Pit is still one of my favorite levels from DOOM II, and the music had a lot to do with it. This is a great cover.
How that iconic melody is played on just two notes is insane
Four years later and still reckon this is the best cover of this song on TH-cam, big ups!
Four years later and theres one reply
@@ImZhald and?

Absolutely great! And the headbanging cacodemon is priceless!
3:34 Now this is bold, but totally worth it.
OKay the Cacodemon made this video. Keep it up! This is my favorite Doom track as well :D
Amazing rendition of an epic track from such a classic. Played this game just before getting the original Quake in 1996, the first game I ever played online with other people. Still will never forget the great music from Doom and Doom II though. Thank you!
Feelings of rage, wrath and despair. The Earth scourched by Hell is all that comes to mind when I listen to that track
This is one of the best tracks of DooM and, like, ever. Thank you for that.

А исполнение идеальное, тут не о чем говорить.
Enough to make a grown man cry...
Buen tema, es increíble como se repite el riff una y otra vez sin cansancio.
Do some music from the first Doom, ones like At Doom's Gate and I Sawed The Demons. Please!!!
A masterpiece. I will never forget that feeling when i was 12 and this awesome track started playing that first time i got to The Pit
That Cacodemon is so kawaii :P

LOVE THIS MUSIC GREAT JOB ON THE GUITAR MY FAVARITE SONG FROM DOOM
Given that 'The Pit' is such a... divisive... level among fans, Bobby Prince really gave it one of the best songs in the game. Nice cover!
I love this. When I first heard this I dug for more metal
I do love Sandy Petersen's City. :D I love all of his Doom, Doom II and Quake maps. :D
I don't normally like live covers of songs but this right here...... This slaps GG Fellow Marine
