Thank you for sharing your knowledge and tips we can all learn from. Also, THANK YOU for playing the fish on your retrieves vs the rapid reeling you see on most channels. Unless you are fishing a tournament, I don't understand why guys will "ski" the fish in as fast as they can.
You do that so the fish doesn't come off by jumping. It is a very simple concept.
The jumping is all part of the enjoyment of catching fish. Unless you are officially weighing it for an event, no need to speed reel in the fish. If the fish comes off, it's all part of the fun, it won that battle.
Not if it was my personal best 5 pound 5 ounce Smallmouth or 9 pound 1 ounce largemouth. If I pay good money and take time to travel to some of the best lakes in the country to fish for trophy fish, I want to land every big one. I do love to watch them jump, it just makes my heart stop for a second. Good luck and tight lines!@@tonynienas169
