An average unit, that doesn't have any "WOW" features... but does that make it bad? We don't think so. some of the best units out there don't pack much punch at all, most the time when you are shopping for a portable power station like the Anker F1500, you are more concerned with making sure it does what it says it'll do. I always get hate for saying I love Anker but their customer service is one of the best (in my experience) and their products just keep getting better.
I love your channel, your videos have great production quality and you’re always coming with some cool stuff and you’re knowledgeable. Maybe it’s because these are niche products but you deserve more subscribers and views. Do you have other channels?
I bought my F1500 to run a CPAP while camping. It's driving me crazy because it keeps turning off after 10-15 minutes. Power saving is turned off, the battery is fully charged, AC outlets is the only section active and nothing else is plugged in. I can't understand why it would shut off for no reason. All I want is for it to provide power when I turn it on, until I turn it off. This auto shut down issue is killing me because I can't sleep.
I would still take an Anker C1000 or an Anker C800 plus over this. They are both smaller and lighter for camping. The C800 would be my preference for campibg of the three. The C1000 has the same inverter, charges in less time, and it is also expandable. A test I would like to see you guys do is to see if a large battery from an Anker F2000 is compatible with an Anker C1000. That would be a great way to really expand that power station.
Banger video as always. I just don't like what they're doing with solar. Feel like they spec it to push you into buying Ankers overpriced panels. Would prefer just one 11-60V solar port with a 15-20A limit like what Ecoflow does
What do you recommend to power a mini fridge, to lights 60 watts, 48 inch TV 50 watts for 3 1/2 day live in San Bernardino CA we have power outage 2 times a month. On a budget.
I’d like to see you redo the test for efficiency. I’m guessing it was running Fans at a maximum speed which is drawing more power. What if you ran a consistent 400w draw? Would the efficiency then go up? I think the efficiency is going to be dependent on the draw and because you were drawing so much power the efficiency went down. But I could be wrong. I’m not very skilled when it comes to electronics.
thanks for the review! 2 questions for you. First question : Can you use the app to put a limit on the AC charging power ? Second question : have you tested charging the unit with a car for more than a day (ex : in a camping trip) ? How well does it perform?
It’s funny you say the charging is okay here and take your time to explain why it doesn’t charge in a linear manner when for the river 2 pro you really railed on the charging capability despite the company clearly stating it will charge in full. I really hope you’re not going the bias way. It just appears that way.
Wouldn’t the C1000 be a better proposition? It has a smaller inverter, but output and surge are the same, and it’s expandable. Not to mention, it’s $200-$300 cheaper. Keep up the great work!
LOL, we were camping, we had it on a chair and we went to sleep… woke up to the most obnoxious wind storm that blew it into the fire, and also relit the fire that we thought we had put out🤦🏼♂️ Fire: 1 - Chair & Power station: 0. good times ahahah
Hi thanks for the video! Can you use the Anker App remotely, maybe with a VPN to my home network ? And if you are using like 100W out, does the fans kick in ? I would like to use this battery as UPS on my router and a microserver. And it needs to be quiet. Thanks again!
You say 73% efficiency is good, but that is actually very poor(if that’s the actual efficiency). I wonder how 73% is okay when the river 2 pro is about 84%
F1500 is the better option for me since it has 1556Wh vs 1056Wh on the C1000 but the c1000 can be expanded while the f1500 can not . Currently on Amazon the f1500 is $699 while the c1000 on $549.
I wouldn't buy this solar limitations are ridiculous. Much better off with an oupes or a pecron. I can get a pecron with a 2200 w inverter, solar can take 95 volts, expandable close 8kw with a 5 year warranty for 799 plus a 5% discount code brings it down to 759. I guess it has a light so there's that. Just an opinion. To each his own.
Anyone run this battery all day with solar? I have the bluetti 2400 Max and its a beast of a battery I can run all day connected with 900 watts of solar. I can essentially run my ac almost all day. Well at least in bright sun light days.

Nice review keep up the good work

Looks like the output displayed might be measuring just the outputs and not including the inverter which could draw 30% of the AC load to run.

Is there any Anker product that comes with a built-in solar panel?
Can I keep unit plugged in ac wall power 24/7 while using UPS mode

Which would you say is better, the Jackery 1000 Plus or this Anker F1500?
F1500
Would be nice if you’d ever reply to comments, The Solar Lab
We do!

Could you put your own expandable battery to this anker f1500 to get more battery. Like the bluetti Ac 180 .

I have a C1000. The inverter on that is the same (1800w with 2400w surge). I agree with your assessment though.
Yep, meant to say smaller battery. It also has six grounded outlets which provides a bit more flexibility.
Wish it had the same look at the 1000. Don’t like this one for some reason. Looks matter, go figure.
I got totally distracted after you dropped the unit in the fire. How did that even happen?
LOL, we were camping, we had it on a chair and we went to sleep… woke up to the most obnoxious wind storm that blew it into the fire, and also relit the fire that we thought we had put out🤦🏼♂️ Fire: 1 - Chair & Power station: 0. good times ahahah
How much does it weigh?
I demand a video with the hat off.
$699 on Amazon Aug. 22-2024
can you power this unit from a 12 V car outlet? Is it gonna be possible to use it while it’s powering?
Yes and yes

I'm measuring 81-82% with mine after a few discharge \ charge cycles.
Is battery is replaceable?
C1000 or this F1500!?

@@DIY_versussame for me, I want the extra energy but don’t want that stupid connecting cable that everyone forgets about for the expandable batts….!

Oh, and efficiency on Pecron A/C is 91% on e1500LFP- smokes this overpriced thing
wwwwaaaayyyyy overpriced-- look at the Pecron lineup- solid units without being gouged......
