Great content 👍I am a web developer from a developing country. If I put in the hard work to learn blockchain development, do you think it’s realistic to land a remote job by only promoting myself online?

      yes.
The magic formula is: skills + project to prove it + marketing to spread the word

People forget that the crypto space is new which means there really aren't alot of qualified devs for the space. You gotta just keep looking. This is niche and should have a low barrier to entry due to how new it is.

Lovely. I'm just starting out but I'm attending 3 courses at the same time. Is that advisable?

Is advisable. There is something called job hopping. You might need it in a later time. And you get to build a network across your skills. At some point, someone is always trying to sell to you. They are not trying to help you.

Feels like copium, and it's ok for learning channel, would be strange without it.
The truth is that blockchain projects are made for token and they don't need devs at all or they responsible for millions and no one will give the job to a junior.
If you're trying to get a job because you need money then look for a job that you can get. If you want to get crypto dev job to create maximum of value by yourself you don't need copium.

This; I hate this employee mindset that all these youtubers spread, if there are high paying jobs why are they not in it, while making useless copied and unfinished project tutorials so that we can pay their courses and hear what everyone wants to hear at the end of the course, that everyone can do it, this is a utopia

Feels like copium, and its ok…
=> very strange sentence, not clear what you mean, but it seems there is 0 argument
The truth is that Blockchain projects…
      => this dichotomy is non-sensical
=> the landscape of Blockchain projects is much complex and diverse
=> token-only projects do need devs to create the token, audit it, and create frontend
=> and beside this, there are also “real” projects with an actual protocol, with widely different skill requirements, depending on complexity and user base: from new projects with no users yet to big projects with lots of users
=> and you also have projects that integrate to existing Blockchain projects
If you are trying to get a job because you need money…
=> most people who work expect a salary dude, welcome to planet earth
=> “look for a job you can get”. Completely useless advice. So maybe we should all go to Mcdonalds then?
=> “What you can get” is a relative concept and depends a lot on your motivation
If you want to get crypto dev job to create maximum value…
=> very confuse sentence, we dont understand your point
Stop thinking about “copium” and spend more time thinking clearly about your ideas, this is all just some random pessimism mixed with a lot of confusion.

You think you are smart by posting this but actually this is incredibly dumb. Just come copypaste that I have seen many times.
Whatever I say on this channel, there will always be negative people to criticize, without even taking the time to understand my message in detail.
I push entrepreneurship? Some doomers say that entrepreneurship is bs and that I am a scammer
I push being an employee? Some doomers say that it's impossible to find jobs and that I am a scammer.
If you are not motivated / not ambitious / negative / not good, that's your problem, but don't come here to dump your venom with just a vague understanding of what I say and half baked opinion. This reflects more on your negativity than anything else.
Both entrepreneurship and being an employee can be valid career choices. In fact, in our career we often go back in forth. For example, if you want to finance a new business, you will be happy to lean on a job while the business doesn't make money yet.
I am an entrepreneur, and I prefer entrepreneurship. I think I made this clear enough on this channel. This being said, I used to be an employee, made lots of money like this, and lots of people who follow me are also interested in jobs. So I am happy to share what I learned.
"if there are high paying jobs why are they not in it"
=> maybe because I already did it?
=> and maybe because I also prefer to be an entrepreneur?
=> If you just made a minimum of efforts to do some basic research you would have realized I actually went back to classical employment as a Blockchain developer recently to see if I could still do it, and I made 30k in one month. Video about this couple of days ago.
"...while making useless copied and unfinished project tutorials..."
=> My tutorials are provided for free, and as such I don't owe you anything.
=> Do you expect to code for free and have the "employer" give you some "feedback" on top of it? The entitlement and hypocrisy is insane...
"..so that we can pay their courses.."
=> I am not selling any course at the moment...dude once again, do a minimum of research
=> And even if I did, so what? it's because someone has a course to sell you that they are automatically unethical
=> Didn't you go to school or college? So all your teachers are morally guilty? Let's all become dumb and not learn anything from each other and in one generation we go back to chimpazee level. Great mindset!
"...hear what everyone wants to hear at the end of the course, that everyone can do it..."
=> Everyone can do it... as long as they are motivated of course. I made this pretty clear in my videos.
=> You think programming is rocket science? You think you are developing the next fusion reactor? Typical delusion from not confident programmers who are afraid of newcomers.
=> It's not easy to learn programming, but it's absolutely doable, and there are many things way more complex, like building a business and leading humans. Get off your pedestal.

@@EatTheBlocks Ok, let's say you're right. Why you don't work on 6-figure blockchain job? You are making youtube + courses instead? It's seems much more profitable, or maybe you are not for money here?

    • @EatTheBlocks
      @EatTheBlocks  12 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

Why you don't work on 6-figure blockchain job
=> I already answered this in my previous comment to Ddiego-vg8ye
=> But the tldr I AM working as a Blockchain dev, and it's my main source of income
=> I am not making any money from courses at the moment, as I am fully busy with my Blockchain dev career
But even if I was selling a course, it doesn't mean that my advice to get a Blockchain job is misleading.
As a skilled Blockchain dev, you can make 200, 300k+ per year. It's actually not clear at all that making youtube + courses is more profitable.
(and it's not even one or the other, can be both...can even be content creation just to help you on your freelance/employee career, without any course).
Everything looks easy from the outside when you never tried it. Go ahead and try to sell courses and see how hard it is. You think those TH-cam videos create themselves? You think it's easy to create a course? You think it's easy to setup a sales funnel when your initial skillset is coding?
It's actually way more fun to code than to create content. And way less risky career. Years and years building your audience, for a very uncertain result. Getting ungrateful / nasty comments as sole reward in the meantime! Most course creators only make 10k, 20k, 30k per year from it. A tiny minority makes 1M+. It's a power distribution.
Finally, money is not the only consideration. Having the freedom to work on what you want and being your own boss can justify not working as an employee.
So you see, reality is much more complex than most people think.
