Thanks for sharing. My family lived there when I was born until I was 8 years old. I remember going to the Italian store and it smelled so good. I still remember their awesome sandwiches. I remember a healthfood store where they would give us kids a chewable vitamin and a drugstore where we would buy penny candies. I would walk through Firestone to get to the stores. My mom would send me to the corner grocery store to buy a lb. of ground round for $0.59. Those were the days.
