In Episode 1 of Amish Dream Homes, Meadowlark Log Homes teams fufill the lifelong dream of Bob and Bobbi Taylor of Livingston Montana. First, teams design the log cabin home and draw the plans.
Next, the log cabin is pre-assembled in Libby Montana at Meadowlark Log Homes production facility, and finally it is delivered and assembled on site and finished out.
It is a single level 20’ x 30‘ footprint plus a 6’x9’ mudroom entry and a log wraparound porch featuring 2 inch thick rough sawn timber planks for the floor and handmade railings. Now you can review the actual floor plan on our website under Cabins section. What is the name of this jewel of a cabin? Of course, just one name fits: The Livingston Cabin.
All of Meadowlark Log Homes cabins and homes feature long roof overhangs on the ends of the house and long eave overhangs at the sides of the house roof and porch roof. Please visit our website where you can browse dozens of floor plans and videos, and hundreds of photos.

I do also, and then I sit back and see beautiful homes that are huge, nice homes or some mansions that could house a lot of people,some of the homes/mansion that cost millions of dollars to build and they have never been lived in, going to have them demolished just because they changed their mind 😂, I would love to talk to the owner of the mansion that has never been lived in, because I would like to borrow some money $$$ or heck you could just give me some money and I can build my dream log home and give my house to some one in need of a home that’s able to make some repairs, and if you just wanted give me $$$ can just write it down for charity and that would help you on your taxes!!!

I’ve always respected and greatly admired the craftsmanship of the Amish. I lived 20 years in central Ohio, and miss having the easy access to those wonderful shops and the beautiful scenery & culture there. ❤️
As an Ohioan, these people aren't
AMISH. They are Mennonite. Real Amish women wouldn't wear bright colors , nor be caught in public without their bonnets on.
Neither men nor women, children nor adults would be using computers etc.

I can't quite tell if they are just using the Amish name or what but I have never heard of or seen a brotherly agreement among the Amish with this much compromise of culture. Even traditional Mennonites are usually much closer to Amish than these folks appear to be.

This is an AMAZING Channel. I read a lot of the comment's and I had a bit of a Issue with a few. # 1 The cost of 150 K you say is to high!!! Please take a count of how many PPL were involved Tree Cutter, Wood Slicer, Truck that hauled the logs before and after the Cut, The Cost of the Crane, The cost of the Truck Driver & GAS [ At least a 6 Hour Drive ], The Design Team [ Blue Print ], the list can go on and on. This Home is well worth the cost. # 2 The Family is Happy with the Bedroom so just stop. If you have ever bought a Shed or Furniture built by the Amish you know the QUALITY!!! I Am just Thankful this Couple now has their DREAM HOME. Thank you Amish Meadowlark Log Home, for providing us with Great Entertainment.

I looked at a shed that you can convert to a tiny home not just a little bigger then the bedroom 32,000 not including shipping the paying someone to help put it up and insulation etc. This is a damn good price w no headach plus she threw a xtra mudroom in! Thank you to The Amish Ppl!

Russ is easy on the eyes! And I really like how the home looks.I would have left off the extra side porch and made it living space. The mud room was a great addition though.
Loved this episode , you could tell she is a wonderful person just by how everyone working for her talked about her and how hard they worked to make everything perfect for her! She really seemed like a one of a kind lady!
Owning bout 30-80 acres of wooded land in the north some where with one of these beautiful log homes would be my absolute dream

Since I was a young boy watching Bonaza, and how I loved the log cabin feel of that show, I've loved log cabins since then. Now that I'm all grown up and retired, I found this site Medowlark log homes and I've been in love ever since. I want to move to Montana near Libby or Glacier National Park and buy 2 acers of land and have Medowlark build me a log cabin way back in the woods. I will visit Montana thiis year and hopefully meet the wonderful folks in Libby and perhaps Elvie and his wonderful fam. I wouldlove to come there in Libby for the annual auction of cabins and furniture and the baked goods that I hear are the best.

I love the mudroom addition. I would've put a loft over the bathroom/bedroom.. that would provide a place for any guests and/or extra storage space..
This is fabulous..........From huge cabins to smaller cabins, all of them beautiful. I loved her father, he reminds me of my dad who was still building things until he was 86 years old. He loved to work with his hands and stay busy along with his being a pastor in retirement still visiting the sick. I always say there is a history book in each of us and indeed there is. This was wonderful. This shows us how often less is more!

I am a 63 year old disabled Vietnam Veteran. Even from my early years i have always dreamed of building to live in my own log cabin on a lake. Idk if my dream will ever come to fruition. I think these homes featured here are really cool and is what i would like to have someday,.soon.

Although it's not the exact location we were dreaming of but it's still our log home.From being in the desert of Las Vegas to the Ozark hills. Wow. What a beauty! My dad was a carpenter when I was young & I can’t tell you how much I miss him & spending time watching him take sticks of wood, “eyeball” them & turn them into beautiful works of art like this cabin. I love the smell & look of wood to this day; especially oak, maple & ash. But I love & appreciate the talent of designers, too. Each person plays such an important part in making the dream a reality. This is a beautiful house. I think the only different thing I would do is have thr shelfmaker draw up a doorway to the bedroom, or perhaps the cabinetmaker, the dad.

Came across your channel yesterday and started watching the videos. I am amazed at how much work and prep goes into each building. To cut trees, strip them, build the house on the work site first, take it apart, truck it somewhere and then rebuild it takes my breath away. You all work together very well and it is apparent your company is very well respected. I love Abby (hope I spelled it right) with her eye for home decor, plus she has a quick wit, very funny young lady. I have subscribed and look forward to watching each new build. Bless you all.

What made this so awesome to watch was the production value of the Video. I love how you take us through the entire build process from the design to the barbecue! Your crew are such fun characters and there joking and camaraderie is what made watching it so enjoyable. You are all such fine craftsman, and your finished product is so warm and beautiful! The best part for me was seeing all the young guys joking around and ribbing each other, yet still banging out a productive work day! I hope to build something on my mountain property near in NY if I ever close the deal! Thanks for the dream, you all are amazing!

A beautiful home. All the craftsman were great, but I was very impressed with the older father who made all the kitchen cabinets at his age...80 plus. Wow! Someone below said they'd like one day of hanging with him in his shop.... Me too!! (and in a woman) He's so talented, and has alot of good skills and knowledge to share. He should start his own YT channel.... Let's all vote for that!!! I think he deserved a credit mention at the end also. I know his daughter said something, but he deserved ALOT of kudos for his age. That's hard work! Love the wood he used too. I love log cabins, my brother is gone but he built his own. His youngest daughter lives in it now in Georgia. I always dreamed of living in one, but doubt it will work out for me now. Played with Lincoln Logs as young girl, loved creating different designs. I design quilts now. That was missing from the bed, shocked me. The perfect quilt would have been a Log Cabin design. OR, my design, "Birds, Bears and Bees in the Trees". Never give up on your dreams!!! I remember this TH-cam program when it 1st came out a few years ago. Never heard anymore about the Amish Dream Home's again. Hope they are still making a living.
The Amish dream homes was us, Meadowlark Log Homes. The film company from England did four episodes and then that was it. We decided just to do our own TH-cam channel after that.
