    Im loving my U6N. Its plenty bright, more than i need. Blurays look amazing and even dvds look good. My PS4 and Switch both look beautiful on it too. I went w the 65" and it's been a nice size upgrade from my 52" plasma.
    I feel like this U6N is gonna buy me a lot of time while i wait for OLED to become more affordable.
    Ive seen the 55" for as low as $300 this holiday shopping season, and w the higher pixel density of the smaller screen, im thinking that was the best bang for your buck this year on the budget side. When i bought my 65" u6n in November 2024, it was $499 USD. Which seems pretty great for a tv this size that looks this good.

    Great comparison video. As much as the brightness of the U7N really stands out, the U6N seems to have a lot more natural colour and I wouldn’t say it’s dull either. When you compared the low resolution content, the glass in the buildings shot almost looked painted on the U7N!

    This review does a pretty good job testing both TVs equally. The U6N looks like it may be a bit better for sports or watching something in a bright room. It seems to pick up darker tones in a more natural way. The U7N is far brighter and that would benefit most with movies (especially at night) and with video games. In the end it comes down to money. The U6N looks like an amazing value whereas the U7N has value if you add future-proofing into the equation. If you have the disposable income spend more for the U7N -- if money is a factor then the U6N will work just fine. Great review as always, Steve.

    At 3:37 there's an option called 'High Refresh Rate Mode' on the U6. So I'm wondering if you can play games at more than 60hz, may it be at the cost of a lower resolution (probably 1080p). It really confused me as I thought that 60hz would be the limit for the U6. :)

    • @TechSteve
      @TechSteve  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You can do 120Hz at 1080p if i’m not mistaken

    I have the U6K 75” and it’s a great tv. I mainly watch movies and tv shows then game on it sometimes. So I’m thinking about upgrading to a better or bigger tv between the 75” U7N or the 85” U6N. Which tv would you recommend?

    Hey Steve. Looking to pick this up (U7N), but saw your other video about the TCL QM7. Will I be missing much? I fall into the category where I'll use the TV out of the box without calibration.

    Hey! Just got the U6N it looks really good especially for the price. Though I noticed some purple in the dark shadows and whites especially when viewing from the side. Is that normal? And does the U7 have that issue cause we may just upgrade to that if that is the case. Thanks!

      They're both VA panels so they're both gonna suffer when viewed from an angle. There's probably some small difference tho. If a wider viewing angle is important to you, the 75" models have an ips panel which have better off angle viewing at the cost of worse contrast and deep blacks.

    0:25 -- I KNOW what you meant, but I laughed out loud when you said "up to 6,000 nits of peak brightness". 65" miniled with that brightness for that price? Sheeesssh haha
