There's a lot to not enjoy about the Luchs and its current situation but the crazy thing about it is I don't think changing its BR helps. The transmission definitely needs to be look at
In short, I disagree: the Luchs is a niche vehicle which may not suit the particular playstyles you are advocating. Personally, I have not had as much fun in WT in a long time. What needs sorting out is the acceleration. Fold the Luchs into the Wiesel and leave it as the special vehicle for enthusiasts that it is. Personally, I was bored by the umpteenth top tier MBT that plays exactly the same as all the other MBTs we already had, but this one has a cupholder, or whatever. I am quite happy to see the Luchs in game, it was long overdue.
@@Laxyr I managed a 73% winrate in 51 games in the Luchs. 69 degrees of gun elevation makes it a solid SPAA and the vehicle's super tight turn radius lets you stay in cover while advancing. It's a shame it doesn't get ammo boxes though.
Vehicles like this do a whole lot better at higher tiers than lower tiers. For example take the type 87 rcv at 7.7 for japan, it’s a much better idea to run it in the small 8.3 lineup rather than at its own tier. The heavy tanks of 6.7-7.7 are literally impossible to kill whereas armour drops off in and around 8.0 until 9.3 really where we start seeing spaced/composite armoured tanks.
I wasn’t excited for this thing at all, I was more confused than anything. Why even add this thing? What role does it fill? And why are we getting this Luchs before the WWII Luchs??
Interesting story: my dad was deployed as a tank commander (cvrt Scorpion) in west germany. One day, during an exercice, an old man offered them coffee in his house and he saw a Sd.Kfz. 234 puma replica on the table. My dad thought the guy, once saw a Luchs passing by and liking it, bought the wrong replica by mistakes. When he asked him about it, the old man told him, laughing a bit, that he knew the differences because he commanded a Puma during ww2. My young dad never thought he would met a ww2 veteran. Funny they were both in a Recce squadron.

Germany lag far too much CAS and gaijin don't have any plans to fix it like in the helicopter tree we have a 9.7-12.0 gap also in the pass 2 update we only get premium aircraft

They at least modeled its amphibious ability very well, it doesn't bob around like a rubber duck in raging white water rapids like all the other amphibious vehicles do. eg SUB-I-II
Playing this thing made me love the kugelblitz even more because at least the kugelblitz functions better as an AA and tank killer than the Luchs does. I’ve never been so disappointed with a German vehicle before until now and I’m a German main.
That's why i rather Gaijin not to release the Luchs I don't get it why everybody looks like Luchs is the one to be wanted in the German Tech tree Everybody know Gaijin hates German vichcles and will nerf it to a disappointment level literally, they should release a formal Assta 3 to replace the Luchs Promise me stop believing in Gaijin
Hear me out: put it at like 4.0. Yeah it could kill everything, but its big and everything can kill it. It would be useful, but not hard to kill and not zipping around the battlefield like other lights. I am joking... slightly. But where it is at is not good, and a slight change up or down will only be either useless cuz of other options or worse because more things it can't do anything against.
From what I remember about reading info about this, the crews loved driving this thing. I'm probably wrong, because I love German 8x8's AFV's. But hey...
Big, not very fast, underwhelming firepower, I'd say the Kugelblitz, which is a 7.0 (a unfavorable BR due to the 6.7 lineup) is a better vehicle in most regards. For LT role, I'd just take the Marder even with the lack of DM63.
Is there a BR where cas is not super prevalent? I just played a 3.0 GRB and still got srewed at spawn by 3 planes at least. Our AA lived only a few seconds everytime it spawned. Luckily we still won though.
There is a huuuuge gap between rank 4 and rank 5 for Germany. Grinding for rank 5 has become unfun because I have to take out my tiger 2 in 9.0 matchups.
I wonder if actually moving it up in BR wouldnt help it better. You are not penning the WW2 stuff anyway, but you get more vehicles you can take from the flank at least
Will you be reviewing the new british superhind? I had a lot of frustrating games playing until i found that it can singlehandedly deny the entire enemy team air superiority with the 20mm +irst. Maybe ka50 players are straight up blind but most helicopters dont even see or acknowledge your presence. Any aircraft that gets within 2.2 km of you is an instant gg for them. Because the bullet spread is rather large at distances, jets cant actually dodge your bullet hose without losing all their energy. Because it can be a first spawn I've had many games where I can deny enemy cas for the entire game. I still think 10.3 is too high for it though. The ingwes are slow and are more of a 2 shot kill.
They really did fail Germany here, while giving other nations something exciting/what people wanted Oh yeah on top of that, 8.0 has become more miserable with the recent marder nerf that basically makes you lose your atgm when your commander is dead, good luck trying to keep him cuz of the inundation of foxes and xm’s at the br; and since Germany already lacks similar vehicles and people don’t usually use them properly, you don’t have a cap most times to replenish crew at if you survive that long
It may not be fun but at least it's German, not another American or Russian vehicle.... I hope to see fewer and fewer vehicles from these nations in Germany and more and more vehicles that are native to Germany or native to some country that may be a sub-tree of Germany.
Germany in general suffers. The Luchs should be super silent, the matchmaking and acceleratin is awful while in fact it should be 100km forwards and backwards. It is just fucked up with the BR, same as the Bo 105 PAH and other stuff. Because german bias...

How to fix the Luchs, remove dm 63, put at 5.7, there fixed the rank 3 light tank gap for germany
It wouldn't go lower than 6.3. Its much better than that Chinese wheeled spaa even if it lost the dm63. Gaijin doesn't know how to balance spaa
