That’s a very good and delicious pot of deer and bean chili. Well we had freezing cold weather here; so cold we couldn’t get the car doors open. Sheets of ice on top of cars, we had multiple car accidents today. The schools were all closed and so were the stores so that saved some a little money. Y’all have a nice toasty warm evening and stay warm.

Hidden Heights Farm , we didn’t have accidents, people who didn’t listen to the Governor’s warning did. That is why we are doing last minute shopping.

Kevin thanks for sharing that information. Instead of throwing away the rotting pumpkins we should collect them for local farmers to feed their livestock to help prevent worm. A worthwhile project for a Church Youth group or Service Club or the Scouts.

That was cool, giving the animals the pumpkins. Should have saved a piece for the quail. BTW. I got my first egg this morning. Peepers is a good girl. In about 3 weeks, the other hens will start laying as well. That chili looks good. Makes working worth it, when Rachel fixes you a great meal. She needs to start doing cooking vlogs herself. Blessings to all.

You can modify your feeder by taking hog or cattle panels and setting inside feeder and cut to size, it will slow them to eat but not waist so much

Local farmstands that close for the season have a lot of produce they need to get rid if. Stop by and ask. Win/win for the both of you.
Bread outlets also give the pastries and old bread to the pig and goat farmers.

I have a friend who swears by portions of canned pumpkin for her dogs when they have tummy issues.I'm wondering what you think about regular pumpkin for dogs ? and is it just the seeds that act as deworming agent or the whole thing for the other animals ? Blessings to you and yours !

Try tobacco, we have an RYO shop and have lots of tobacco left over when we sack our tobacco, and a lot of farmers buy that, at a real discount, to worm their horses, goats and livestock.
