I changed some of the shock lands to duals that enters untapped after 2 or more and got mythic with this deck today!!! Definitely over 80% wins. Awesome. Thanks a lot.
I made a white / blue / black with duellist where you can get him to toxic 5 unblockable on turn 4 consistently. Pretty fun you should give it a go. Can provise decklist if you want. Pretty budget too.
Nice one. Two cards i love in toxic decks are Patch-up because of the super low curve you get back 2-3 consistently. Adjani planeswalker as well. That's why i stay Bant right now.
Hey man thanks for the deck, I just did a few games with it and it's really a huge upgrade on my old black / green deck if you plan into making a new version of it I'd be the first one to check it 😀
Kinzu of the Bleak Coven + Blade of Shared Souls Have a non creature die, exile it and make a Toxic 1 Token Now attach Blade to another non token When this one dies, exile it and you get a Token with Toxic 2 (2× Toxic 1) As long as you have non token to exile, you can make your creatures more and more Toxic Of course it's funky with Ratadrabik
The black cards are nice addition to the theme but 8 pain lands are problematic even with corrupted + hive. Clock ticks really fast. PS: Drowing makes a splash is a good one. Edit: not 9 but 8 pain lands
Even 10 if you count Thran Portal. That's unfortunately the main drawback of playing a third color. You could run more Innistrad duals but entering tapped early is also not ideal.
@@LegenVD Missed the portals. Def don't know how to count hehe. Unfortunately those 3 colors can be punishing for a tri color aggro deck cause we only have the selesnya fast lands. I'm trying out Selesnya Toxic since yesterday and running 22 lands, 12 of which are green/white, i get alot of 2 lander starting hands with Overgrown farmland + Mirrex (running 2) which i need to mulligan due to the slow start and according to my personal experience the third land is not even guaranteed to arrive in due time. So yeah even with just 2 colors Innistrad lands can be tricky sometimes.
Rotpriest and travel preparation is the one! It is a 2 drop that targets 2 of yours with a +1/+1 (permanent) so is double trouble for poison counters and has flashback for 2! If you have multiple rotpriest out it’s game over!
@@NightfallTHwe found the person that thinks they know what's going on but would have below a 50% winrate in the mono red mirror match. Will some aggro decks curve out and it feels bad the same thing could be said about most decks in the format. If two midrange decks it's literally who curved better and drew the least dead cards. Control decks in b01 it's who drew all the dead cards. That's the same energy with your horrible take. But keep complaining you are showing how bad you are and your lack of knowledge.
Aggro strategies are the ones that benefit going first the most. Midrange, combo and control don't need to go fist to be able to win. If you go second as aggro and your opponent doesnt miss land drops or floods you are probably dead. Of course if you care more about the # rather than the quality of matches aggro is great.
This build doesn't focus on Rotpreist too much, but opponents will still often prioritize it. It's a good thing when the deck can win without drawing it, unlike some other Poison decks.
Match 2 you 5 poison going through including proliferation from bloated, so would’ve needed 1 more! Not sure opponent could’ve come back the next turn though with you at a bunch of life.
If I have Fynn, the Fang-Bearer in play and Bilious Skulldweller attacks unblocked, the oppo gets 2 poison, counters, right, one for having deathtouch and one for toxic 1? Brilliant video as always Legend!
Nope: you give THREE Poison, one from the Skulldweller itself and then another two from Fynn buffing the Deathtouch. I play that list all the time I also play it in Explorer instead of Historic, because I absolutely hate Alchemy “balancing” with a passion
Wish I could make room for it, but it’s a little slow for the deck. The plan is to get on the board quickly and clear a path to keep attacking. At four mana it doesn’t really reinforce that plan unless we happen to face other creature decks and the board gets stalled.
@@LegenVD nice, yeah that deck is greased lightning. An extra counter per hit can definitely be improved upon. Plus I did forget that guy cost 4. All in all, that's strong, good stuff
Toxic weenies is nice and all, but here's a deck idea: since Emrakul, The Promised will be soon available on Arena, how about a historic constructed deck with Fight Rigging, casting a free Emrakul on turn 4? That should be fun (but not for the opponent).
I'm finding this deck quite bad to be honest. I've been playing with it for 2 weeks and It completely falls flat on it's face if the opponent has removal or counter spells, by turn 4 everthing I've played has been exiled before getting even one swing in and i'm generally getting smacked with a 5/5 flying or such. This is even in platinum against mono white toxic, blue/black toxic, blue conterspell, mono red haste/burn, mono black, mono green big creature decks. It just seems to lose against everything unless my opponent gets stuck with land and I mulligan a perfect hand. The hardest it looses to is mono white toxic decks and mono black toxic/obliterator/sheoldred decks. Have you got any points for upgrading this as at this point it's not cutting it for an Abzan toxic deck.
The biggest issue MOno white has is instants and sorcerys and enchantments calamitys wake solves all those problems if u play it right. I added a playset to my deck and oh my lanta. I ran thru platinum tier almost diamond now. Maybe I'll see u there cuz I'm coming up
Honestly, I think that the black splash addition is not worth it… You pain yourself so much by adding black yet there are options to deal with creatures such as infectious bite and Tyvar’s stands which can help you deal with the bigger creatures blocking your way. Plus they have a better synergy with rotpriest because they target your creatures, not the opponent’s. If you didn’t have to put black in your deck, you could potentially run 4 mirrex too. Tokens wins you game.
LVD, you’re one of the few MTG TH-camrs that I genuinely appreciate and love watching. Thanks for the content!
The best! I watch him since magic duel!
Same same

Seeing this all over the place now. Removal ftw
Great deck, lots of fun :)
Bloated Contaminator is my favorite card of this set. Trample toxic and proliferate is MWAH
Didn't know toxic was strong enough to make EsperLegends concede on T3 ♥️
He saw the name of his opponent.. I would 100% do the same...
So many reasons the opponent could have scooped, doesn't mean the deck wins consistently against that one.
Mono whites where it at see previous replys
What if they can't play it
It's like that. I run mono white also I think I found the key ld and calamitys wake. Done for. I've been running thru my opponents. Mono white is boss
“Healthy amount of poison” 😂😂😂
Please, more videos with monocolour decks. This decks with 3 colours are too expensive because of the mana.
