@@kendalgee5808 haha 😂 well I agree with you about living there doesn’t matter. I think people don’t understand what the job of law enforcement is. It is to enforce laws 🤦🏼♂️, pretty simple if you ask me. I agree treating people with respect should be shared by everyone (cops and citizens). The problem is if the police are there, then chances are someone is breaking the law. If a cop is called to a location and a crime has been committed they have to take a report if the suspect is gone or they have to arrest the suspect if they are there still. No where in there is bullying a part of the equation. Also never seen someone who just stabbed or shot someone give a crap about how nice the officer is. The suspect is breaking the law because they don’t care about laws or following rules of society. The cop that shows up has to arrest that suspect and deals with bad people like that all day. Eventually the nicest cop is going to be seen as a “bully” at some point even if he isn’t. It’s pretty simple, follow the rules of society, treat people with respect, respect authority, and if you have a problem with how something is done then make a formal complaint at the end of the incident. No cop is gonna stop in the middle of a incident to deal with your complaint of the issue. So I agree living in the community doesn’t matter at all. Being respectful and treating people only goes so far with people (law breakers) who don’t respect or treat people right to begin with.
Send the homeless back to the states the came from… protecting the police and law abiding citizens is the priority. I support this way more than giving the homeless a free $760,000 apartment!!
Do you have a source for "giving the homeless a free $760,000 apartment!!" or are you arguing against a hypothetical?
@@jaad9848 It's not a hypothetical genius.
@@jaketapper8910 ok , same question. Do you have a source/proof of this "not hypothetical"?

i finally understood the defund movement i ytuly feel for this officers the amount of mental illness and calls just based on people not being housed and on the street is a real issue...we get caught in the us and them and let our emotions run wild...after listening to the scanner a few hours even im frustrated i can only imagine the person on the other line and the cops on scene...lets let go of our ego and work for the society we want to see..obviously four years of trump andwhat do we got...if the people where housed like prior to reagans coming into office the streets were cleaner and cops had 1/3 of the work they have just because everyone is housed...
I think the LAPD would settle for Gascon to be cancelled… sad they have to go to the Feds to get criminals prosecuted for murdering them.
@@Brenda-of4hi i think your being emotional and being misled..you really think gascon wouldnt prosecute people that harm officers...
You want to have more hires or keep your staff, get rid of those stupid COVID Mandates! I do have to give LAPD a win because of helping recruits with housing.
Difficult job nowadays. Your hated by a larger crowed every where you go. Your walking on egg shells. But crime is up. And somebody has to do the job.
but the people and I are still on the streets. society is fkd up in America
Then do something about it. Stop waiting for a handout.
Nice! I love it!!
That’s badass!!!
That's crazy!. And all those homeless people🤷
Boooooooooo

How about *THIS* new officers must rent within 10 mi of *THE AREAS THEY POLICE!* . You cant work in south central & drive to fullerton, you cant work in santa ana and go home to long beach, you cant work in east LA and drive home to santa monica.....
You clearly did not listen to the video lmao
@@jaketapper8910 I clearly did and I reccomend they police communities in which they live and or live within *TEN MILES OF* . I dont care about rental assistance to help retention levels.
@@NAT-turners-Revenge You think a white cop from Glendale wants to live in the Pueblos ? lmfao...
Good luck finding anyone willing to do that. Qualified candidates will go elsewhere. More open positions than applicants.
WE NEED LAW AND ORDER IN THE CITY OF ANGELS, NOW MORE THAN EVER. THANK YOU!!!
No you don't. They are a waste of tax payer money. They do crap like write people petty traffic tickets. Issue citizens $340 tickets after traffic school. And spend an entire day in court wasting taxpayer money / defending why a citizen is guilty for a petty traffic citation. DEFUND THE POLICE.. A waste of taxpayer resources.
Modern day slavery……
Aren't blacks in colleges advocating for modern day Jim Crow laws? I seem to recall many POC college students demand safe spaces where only "people of color" are allowed to go to :-)
Hire more Black's
This is what the Dept gets. You live by the sword you die by the sword.
How come these so donors don’t support our military men and women that do the real job of protecting US citizens? Man forget these donors. So unappreciative of our military men and women that makes a lot more sacrifices than these cowardly cops.
all you gotta do is allow us to smoke weed you talking about cali
I believe New Jersey cops can smoke weed off duty but don't quote me on that.
@@eazye088 that's technically correct but impossible to put into practice. Cops in new jersey must be able to test clean while on duty. So if they smoke the night before and then go clock in, they will still test positive and lose their job. They would have to save up enough vacation time to do it off duty and still test clean when they go back to work.
THIS IS AWESOME……We need to speak the truth.
EXCELLENT!
This is really great... Previously LAPD used to discourage officers from living in LA. They would live out near Riverside etc... Officers should live in the communities they police!
Yeah it’s always better when your neighbor arrest you. Hopefully you don’t hold a grudge. Lmao 🤣
@@blkstang4830 Cops would treat the community better if they lived amongst that community. AKA not arresting people over BS... IMO
@@xavier7356 well I disagree. The cops don’t get to decide if someone is arrested over a crime that is considered minor or not. People call the police and report a person trespassing or a minor crime. Guess what the cops have to arrest the person. Live in the community or not, it won’t change anything. Don’t want to be arrested, then don’t commit a crime. Pretty easy to live by and follow the rules. You don’t get arrested for traffic tickets and that’s a whole other bag to unpack.
@@blkstang4830 Cops decide to be bullies. Live in the community or not, if cops don't want to be hated by the community, they need to change their bullying behavior. Geography won't change community sentiment. Pretty easy to not be hated by the community if they live by and follow the golden rule.
They should give free housing and food benefits to all officers! Not make em pay a cent to live. And double their salary!
Oh please....
Pigs gotta stay in the pig den 🐽
Whaaaat! This is criminalphobic far right movement! Stand up for criminals rights! Criminal lives matter most!
What happened to homes for the homeless? What's the point of hiring more cops when they're no longer allowed to enforce laws.
Send the homeless back to the states the came from… protecting the police and law abiding citizens is the priority. Is the BLM organization offering to put up the homeless in the multi million dollar homes they bought. Nope…they are not even reinvesting the money into the black communities. Scissor sisters pocketed it all.
