Thanks for watching everyone. There were a lot tech issues and audio issues but we made it happen. Thank you the encouraging words on my commentary! I will strive even harder to one day be a CTWC top 8 commentator
Your commentary was AMAZING. It was really refreshing having someone who is actually at a high level of Tetris commentate. Reminds me of when Jonas would do it.
As far as I'm concerned, You're already there, my dude. I'm legit surprised they didn't tap you for 2022. Your timely-varied enthusiasm, brilliant callouts, probably the best score checks in the game right now, and especially your start-of-match recaps .... you're pretty goated.
You are by far my favorite commentator. You being a high level player yourself allows you to give insightful and more technical commentary. I personally enjoy when you say what possible pieces a player is looking for to solve their board. Overall, you also balance your commentary and give both players equal attention. You bring great energy and hype to specific situations, while still remembering to remind the audience of general things like point-lead, pace, and upcoming transitions. Well done!
Quick Disclaimer: Due to tech issues happening right before the finals we had to change set-up which messed with the audio quality of the video. Sorry we couldn't fix while at the event or in post. so any audio issues are a result of this. Thanks for understanding
Last time I followed Classic Tetris, Dog and Andy looked like little kids. It's amazing we get to see the growth of these talented youngsters both in gameplay and in real life.
Sharky getting so excited that he blows out the audio and distracting sidnev with praise during a live match is the best. Seriously, no smoke, sharky makes the gameplay even more entertaining to watch as the pieces speed up!
There are many great Tetris players, anyone could win but there’s only ONE Sharky when it comes to commenting on these matches. Keep up the great work Sharky!!
crazy part is i think he could be even better if he wasn't quite so indecisive in the early stages. he makes constant last second adjustments that lead to misdrops. or he'll think too long about what to do with a piece and won't move it until it's nearly touching, which also leads to some misdrops. he's may be the best when it comes to digging out of trouble up really high. there have been a couple times in his last 2 or 3 matches when he survived some impossible digs on level 19 wsy up high.
@@juyifan7933 can't really say he's the best at using the next box because he makes last second adjustments. if he were the best in the world at using the next box he'd have his next move planned out and wouldn't need constant last second adjustments. andy may very well be the best player in the world right now period, so i'm not putting him down. just pointing out that i think he could improve even further and really separate himself from the pack.
@@Jack_80 That is incorrect. Adjustments. It just not possible to maintain 100% accuracy with how dynamic tetris is. Adjustments are what allow for people to increase efficiency outside of strong fundamental stacking. Thats a huge reason why efficiency before 29 increased at such a dramatic level back in 2020 and 2021, Because last second adjustment were being spammed by players. But Also I wouldn't say that Andy is the best. There is a lot of players with andy's skill set and skill range
@@Jack_80 @juyifan7933 @ITZsharky1 - you're actually all correct, it's amazing to see both how far the game has come and that there still seems to be room for improvement. It's exhilarating, and everyone involved (players, commentators, community) is rad. What an honor.
For most of these videos, you can tell who will win by seeing how much time is left in the video. It would be nice if filler material or even a black screen of nothing at the end was added to make each video a certain amount of minimum time.
@@Piterixos well that’s kind of this issue with TH-cam. Dead space at the end hurts the performance of the video and the channel. Which is why I have the insider show so you can know when to watch them live. Just an unfortunate reality of VODs vs the Live broadcasts
It used to, yes. But with so many events popping up, they stopped doing that. That's why they are now called "regionals." as the term "qualifier" didn't make much sense anymore.
Top players' levels are actually pretty close right now. Anyone of them can eliminate other players on their good days. Also, in-person playing field might have an effect on players who are used to playing online. It's just really hard to predict who's gonna got a win over who nowadays.

GG for all, genius players!! amazing games!! Thanks for share!! I spect no less from Andy!! Big huges for all :D
I just can't believe how people are playing this game now!

There was a generous amount edited in, but also it has to be used in moderation.
Also it’s not about who will win but more so how they will win

CRAZY game one!! man I was really hoping to see sidnev win but seems like he got a little exhausted from playing dog? 😅
It was a long day and needing to reverse sweep dog will definitely take the energy out of you
Does anybody know what Tertis version this is and what system it's on?
This is Classic Tetris on the NES.
It's also available on Tetris Effect: Connected through Classic Score Attack.
So does winning a regional tournament automatically qualify you for CTWC?
check the discription
No it doesn't... It just pays for your entry fee at CTWC

Yes

No doubt, Andy is the better player and Sidnev made him a favor eliminating his brother in the semis who was much tougher opponent.
What a strange thing to say
