I remember thinking when Joseph came on the scene and defeated Jonas 5 years ago that we had maxed out the height of playing potential in Classic Tetris...how wrong I was.
As terrible as that is, Jonas did a stream where every time the game gave him a long bar it would reroll the peice. If it then landed on a long bar that was ok to use. He still maxed out and that was using DAS. With rolling, even the worst long bar count should still be relatively easy to max out for these guys

Nothing will beat last year’s final match up. Was the best battle I’ve ever seen
The reverse sweep… Fractal you are the best Tetris player we’ve ever seen
minute mark?
@@rooksman64 reverse sweep means down 2-0 then comes back winning all 3 remaining games

Just wow, congrats to both players and to the organizers! Just thrilling!
Obligatory respect to Jonas
What a crazy match. The super kill screen is my absolute favourite type of tetris to watch
Well deserved win! Incredible tenacity by both players.
Sidnev's piece solving is out of this world. In the past I've said that Dog's the Mozart of Tetris, so if that's true than Sidnev is the Picasso of Tetris.
Sidnev is by far the best player to have never won a CTWC or CTM event.
She's wild. It's insane how close Sidnev came here, hats off to Fractal for putting up a good game.
So true
Agreed. Probably won't last much longer, I expect her to win a CTM. She's made finals like 5 times and is too good not to win one
For real, CTWC is one thing but to have never even won a CTM at her skill level is crazy
But after playing in the CTWC finals, the biggest tetris stage in the world, at least nerves definitely won't be a factor in future CTMs.
Seems like she could’ve won that last game, almost like she screen peeked because she thought she had the higher score
Great Games, great Community. Congrats to Fractal for the win and good job Sidnev. Lovely tournament thanks to all competitors.
I guess Jonas (RIP) would be proud.
What a final. A really unbelievable insanity 😍
"Let's go Fractal!"
"Let's go Sidnev!"
that was like that scene in LOTR:ROTK, when everyone is fighting, and frodo and gollum are fighting, and like it's all happening, and I'm fangasming...
james chen does tetris commentary?
Man this is a real thrilling match....I cant imagine how their iq are utilised at lvl 29
It is impressive how the players were able to make quick decisions on where the place the pieces at Killscreen Levels.
That is the best comp I have ever seen
I don't know how I got brought here but that is a true show of sportsmanship. Amazing display from both guys and can appreciate from an outsiders view the character of both competitors. Well done to you both.
Boom! Tetris for Jonas!
Bien merecido PARA FRACTAL GRAN FINAL!! X UN MOMENTO PENSE Q LO GANABA SIDNEY GRAN COMPETICION SALUDOS
