Pavlova cake from NEW ZEALAND is the BEST THING that I have EVER EATEN in the DESERT CATEGORY !!!!!
But GIBANICA sounds WONDERFUL -- I will try it as soon as I can gather up all the ingredients and get a grinder !!!!
Does anyone know where I can buy POPPY SEEDS in quantity ??? Please, let me know !!!!

Poppy seeds are an essential ingredient. You can try it without, but the taste will not be the same.

It is always done with poppy seeds, however if you don't like them try sesame or chia seeds. Although the flavor will be different.
