Okay, I realized what annoys me: She never describes the taste or the texture of what she's eating, all she says is that it's delicious. A good food show hosts allows the viewer to feel and taste through him, this way it's basically pointless to have her there.
I went from disliking the host in part 1, to hating her in part 2, to wanting to rather chew and swallow glass instead of seeing/hearing her in part 3.Other than that, the food looked amazing.
Nobelhart is an absolute must if you'd like to taste cuisine that's pure and authentic. Though they only use ingredients from in and around Berlin, the way they prepare the ingredients is just masterful and would work anywhere in the world. Amazing place, the sommelier/owner looks like a young Hogwarts headmaster and it's awesome. Probably my favorite eating-experience ever.
Nothing like this. They only focus on the trendy hipster shit site of the city and totally neglect traditional German or Berlin culture. German food is honest and hearty and not trendy and exotic. I would have appreciated a segment on the Turkish market in Kreuzberg and several influences of foreign foods in that part of the city but making this show 90%+ about foreign food is dishonest.
worst part of the berlin series until now. host's attitude is unbearable, the way she eats foods makes it looks less delicious. the places shown in the video are not authentic at all.
Really do not like the host. She did not describe the food what so ever, the most she described it was with one dimensional words such as delicious and " It's good." Terrible host, but besides that it was a good video.
The "waiter" at 2:03 annoys the shit out of me. If I was his employer I would pay him 4,25€, half of the minimum wage. His slow walk and behavior is unbearable. A lot of people nowadays just can't work properly because they don't know it better, because they never had to.
for those wondering, berlin does actually have modern and experimental german food that doesn't cost 95 euros per person (that's what it costs to eat at nobelhart & schmutzig and they basically just serve you ayran and fish eggs)
The host is amaaazzziiing! I'd love to hang out with her in Berlin haha I wish I saw these episodes before I went to berlin! Great episodes, I love the way they're shot
that's a really great way to show you're an ignorant shit who has never been to Germany, let alone knows a thing about the country. Pork and beer, neither particularly helal, are cheap, abundant and available everywhere.
Second berlin munchies video and they havnt been to a middle eastern restaurant.. which is a shame since its the biggest culinary influence in the city and often misrepresented as lowend street food.
Nah its just my friends who opened their own start up in the industry of food. they dont need YG they are passionate entrepreneurs making good food. Now YG has no clue about food lol
sad to see no german cuisine that has been reinvented in some way to make it fresh and new...just a bunch of different hipster-like bars and rerstaurants with trendy concepts of foreign cuisine...
I hate to rain on y'alls parade, but Schnitzel is Central European. You'll find it in Poland, Czech, Slovakia as well and also in Denmark with fries and sauce béarnaise! It's super delicious! So ... Yeah! :)
I did'nt say that Schnitzel is exclusively from Germany. I said "There is Schnitzel from Germany too". I know there is Schnitzel in many European countrys. But that is not what this conversation is about. It's about whether there is Schnitzel from Germany or not.
Yeah, it's so annoying that germans believe that Schnitzel is a german dish... And of course many countries in central europe also know Schnitze, because they were part of austria(-hungary). Yes, there a other countries with similar dishes but they all arose from the Wiener Schnitzel
That is pure bullshit. Breading and frying meat was already a common dish before there was austria. The Schnitzel all around europe did not "arose from the Wiener Schnitzel". The Wiener Schnitzel is just one special way of preparing a Schnitzel. And.. Yeah, it's so annoying that austrians believe everyone is coppying their holy Wiener Schnitzel...
She is quite awkward interacting with her interviewees and also she doesn't really review the food indepth just says it is all good like she was starving.
"The first wave of immigrants after the wall came down"???? NF but the first so called "Gastarbeiter" came in the 60s and settled in the cheap housing parts in Kreuzberg etc. Still don't get why Berlin is so attractive to foreigners and outsiders!?!
Because they said the name, showed the sign and the place on the map?! I don't really like this episode but come on. Don't blame others for your stupidity
Political bicycle cannon shot ground strawberries with gin and gravel and mint leaves handpicked by a self-appointed cat mummifier sounds very "Berlin hip" to me. Maybe a bit too much. Maybe I should stick to beer and eisbein.
Okay, I realized what annoys me: She never describes the taste or the texture of what she's eating, all she says is that it's delicious. A good food show hosts allows the viewer to feel and taste through him, this way it's basically pointless to have her there.
this.
preach it
Chiiiiiiiiiiil out'abit.
And she comes off pretty rude by the way she exerts herself on her own will
so true
Never bring her back. Please.
I went from disliking the host in part 1, to hating her in part 2, to wanting to rather chew and swallow glass instead of seeing/hearing her in part 3.Other than that, the food looked amazing.
the funny thing is wally actually sounds german speaking english :D
well - sure it's funny - but... did you hear the opposite: If an American tries to speak german: THAT'S really funny ;-)
she asked for hot sauce before even trying it lmao the disrespect
OMG SHE LIKES HOT SAUCE? WHAT A BITCH!
And kimchi
+Tasty Mixes ur videos suck
***** You're actually just trying to promote your channel xD
she is a indian of course she would like some hot sauce bitch!!
10:16 "i put some lecture"

1:18 - man scratches his ass and (discreetly) checks out the waitress.
Welcome in Berlin.
Ugh my American self needs to visit Berlin ASAP! The Berlin accent is so cute! Love it.
berlins food looks amazing please do another one of this series mucnhies but with a different host
Too much focus on being 'cool', not enough information. I have no real idea what Berlin is like from these videos.
Not even people from Berlin know what Berlin is like.
Sie ist unhöflich und respektlos!!
Eine echte Berlinerin
worst part of the berlin series until now. host's attitude is unbearable, the way she eats foods makes it looks less delicious. the places shown in the video are not authentic at all.
Watch out Brooklyn Berlin is catching up!!😂😂😂😂
That margarita is calling my name!
This is probably the best food channel that has ever been.
despite all the major hipsterness going on it seems there are some really cool spots worth seeing
This host is killing me. I feel insulted just watching her, but at least now I know where I'm going tomorrow for lunch!
Really do not like the host. She did not describe the food what so ever, the most she described it was with one dimensional words such as delicious and " It's good." Terrible host, but besides that it was a good video.
Finally a show that highlights immigrant/-influenced food culture and showcases the immigrants, instead of presenting some new fusion inspired take
ThisisJokyl989 yeah, but they only showed rich immigrants. Why not show the hundreds of great Turkish or Vietnamese places?
So many german hipsters. Food looks amazing.
I hope we can travel again soon!
favourite city in the world.
This host is rather self entitled and gross
How
You are a bigoted sexist. Dont hate on her just because she's a disgusting human being.
that makes no fucking sense
Her accent makes me so confused
what makes it confusing?
+SoraXesArt I'm not sure if its Northern English , German , or Indian plus she sounds so surprised haha
It's basically a nondescript middle-class English accent with some different inflections. Not that weird.
yea same here like where does it come from. Thought the same thing as well=
+Jam didn't say it was weird
best food show on the planet VICE Munchies launches again...
The "waiter" at 2:03 annoys the shit out of me. If I was his employer I would pay him 4,25€, half of the minimum wage. His slow walk and behavior is unbearable. A lot of people nowadays just can't work properly because they don't know it better, because they never had to.
yeah that whole visit was quite awkward.
You will actually find lots of people like him in Berlin working in service.
your point being?
mm i guess is the universal thing ... this also happens in any other countries ... damn post-millennials :-D
.Renato. sadly true...
That Daniel guy though!
Munchies should do a piece on Stone Berlin. Finally, Berlin has some good beer for a change.
Berlin had good beer for a while fyi
Sanerah Yeah that .45 cent Sternburg bottle is great beer! Best beer in the World!
Got to be honest, i really dont like this host :/

+dada asdada I do
for those wondering, berlin does actually have modern and experimental german food that doesn't cost 95 euros per person (that's what it costs to eat at nobelhart & schmutzig and they basically just serve you ayran and fish eggs)

The bike cannon was very anti climactic

AHHH She is so rude dude wtf
Ok but who is the guy working there at 2:05 please hello
Second berlin munchies video and they havnt been to a middle eastern restaurant.. which is a shame since its the biggest culinary influence in the city and often misrepresented as lowend street food.
9:30 so cute!!!
Billy's back!
i f*cking hate modern art
Interesting that those korean guys named their menu "kimchi tempura" because tempura is a japanese word
The word tempura is actually Portuguese origin - tempero. It’s called tempura in Korean, too.
SONGS?!?!?!!?
yummy yummy! That's why i love Berlin :)
i live in berlin for 3 years...not a great series about my city, could have been made way better.

Nah its just my friends who opened their own start up in the industry of food. they dont need YG they are passionate entrepreneurs making good food. Now YG has no clue about food lol
She came from Korea? She has an extreme German accent.
Am i the only one who found the host original and charming?
yes.
yes
I'm sure there are perhaps 3 more.
I'm trying to enjoy this, but everything can't just be "ooo that's delicious." Madam, have you a palate most accustomed to McDonald's?
wasnt billy wagner in the one bout the rheinland?
sad to see no german cuisine that has been reinvented in some way to make it fresh and new...just a bunch of different hipster-like bars and rerstaurants with trendy concepts of foreign cuisine...
what is the name of the bgm starting 3:10 - 4:11
It seems the host has an issue with dirt and buildings that "look ugly from the outside". Funny. I still dig her though...
Fuck this! I want Billy Wagner!!!

And Pause 3:25
First wave of immigrants AFTER the wall came down? LoL
SONG AT 9:10 ANYONE?
Schnitzel is not German, its typical austrian food, she knows nothing
Is your name Jon? Because you know nothing. Wiener Schnitzel is from Austria. But there is Schnitzel from germany too.
I hate to rain on y'alls parade, but Schnitzel is Central European. You'll find it in Poland, Czech, Slovakia as well and also in Denmark with fries and sauce béarnaise! It's super delicious! So ... Yeah! :)

Before I even watch this video you guys better have fucking gone to bürgermeister. If not I'll be angry.
"The first wave of immigrants after the wall came down"????
NF but the first so called "Gastarbeiter" came in the 60s and settled in the cheap housing parts in Kreuzberg etc.
Still don't get why Berlin is so attractive to foreigners and outsiders!?!
Wowww the host seems to be controversial looking at the comments? I wonder why some people find her unlikable? .. the video for me is meh!
oh Bainshe
I feel like the girl was kinda like begging for food which kinda made this video look really cheap to me
Hardcore hipster
Anyone got the name of the Korean place? Visiting berlin soon and would like to visit, not sure why they don't link this shit in the description.
Because they said the name, showed the sign and the place on the map?! I don't really like this episode but come on. Don't blame others for your stupidity

Wow.... hot Asian chicks speaking German lol .... cool
Had no idea the riesling wine guy was from a restaurant. He's a sick lad.
Robot chefs
Kavita's personality is just not likable. Please fire her.
She's just not charlotte , I want charlotte :((((((
Political bicycle cannon shot ground strawberries with gin and gravel and mint leaves handpicked by a self-appointed cat mummifier sounds very "Berlin hip" to me. Maybe a bit too much. Maybe I should stick to beer and eisbein.
This food isn't german. Its alien.
Please fire her
Jesus christ, I don't know what but something about the host make this unbearable to watch
