Welcome to our science experiment where we demonstrate that acids, bases, and salts are electrolytes by conducting a continuity test. Watch to see how different solutions conduct electricity!
    Materials:
    Hydrochloric acid (5 mL)
    Sodium hydroxide flakes (100 mg)
    Sodium chloride (5 g)
    Distilled water
    Four 250 mL beakers
Four 1.5V dry cells with holder (or a 6 V battery)
6 V torch bulb with holder
    Rubber cork
    Two iron nails
    Plug key
    Connecting wires
    Sandpaper
    Procedure:
    Clean wire ends with sandpaper.
Fix two iron nails in a rubber cork as electrodes and connect them with wires.
    Draw the circuit diagram.
Prepare solutions in beakers labeled A, B, C, and D.
Set up the electric circuit without dipping the electrodes.
Test each solution by dipping the electrodes and observing if the bulb glows.
    Results:
Beaker A (HCl solution): Bulb glows
Beaker B (NaOH solution): Bulb glows
Beaker C (NaCl solution): Bulb glows
Beaker D (Distilled water): Bulb does not glow
Acids, bases, and salts are electrolytes as they conduct electricity due to the presence of ions.
