There’s only 1 thing that truly terrifies me, it’s Lord Godzilla. I’m happy this movie captures how utterly frightening The King of the Monsters truly is
I saw this movie on Wednesday in IMAX. This movie was great. Godzilla woke up and chose violence. The scene with Godzilla chasing the boat and you can see his eyes was truly terrifying. You could see the menace in his eyes. My first Godzilla movie where I said "He has to die". 9.5/10 because his walking was so mechanical.
Excited to see this. While I do enjoy to a certain point with WB has done with Godzilla since 2014. Shin Godzilla was the movie that genuinely made me afraid of him. I love it so much 😂.
I’m so happy this Film Exists! Because for Too Long Monsterverse Has treated Godzilla as Anti-Hero frienemy! Here! He’s 100% pissed Off and channeling his 1954 Ancestor from the First Film! Godzilla reminded folks what kind of a BAD ASS Monster He IS!
Godzilla is usually aggressive when it comes towards humans 1954 then three sequels later still attacking humans till Ghidorah showed up then he became a good guy. The Heisei era he started off as the bad guy but grew into a antihero. The millennium era is mostly one offs Godzilla 2000 killed orga and still destroy Tokyo, Megagirus showed up killed her still attacked Tokyo. Gmk bad guy. The kiyru saga still a villain. Final wars antihero. Monsterverse defender of earth humans can either work with him or get squished. Shin destroyed a whole city so bad guy right there. This version is wow destructive. But for a reason he was disturbed and mutated by nuclear weapons so obviously he wants payback
a machine gun to the face feels like a massage to Godzilla , I think in one of the movies they trow a nuclear bomb on Godzilla’s head and that just woke him up from he’s nap
Godzilla in away seemed to be this force of nature. From the Showa Era to the Heiwa era. The Showa era presented Godzilla as a product of what war can create. Regardless of the visuals back then Godzilla was scary then. He was something that came about and needed to be dealt with. Godzilla was more or less symbolic of the Western world, post WW2. By the Heisei Era came around Godzilla became an insert into the socio-political atmosphere. Again being this force of nature that appears and just so happens to appear in time of these invading forces. On one hand you have just monster of the week, to invasion to the problems in the world that have a worldwide effect on the planet. Millennial Era sort of reboots the more popular films and bringing Godzilla back to his aggressive nature but hinting back to the original source material. Only this time it's about how to deal with Godzilla. When they have to slow him down you have interruptions that pretty much either run him down while defeating an enemy to I think we might need him. The enemy of my enemy is not my friend. And the last films that came in that era also asked the question of excepting Godzilla existence and learning to coexist alongside him. Because existence while a product of man and now a force of nature and coming to terms with what to do going forward. What does the future hold for us? Neiwa Era Godzilla reinvents the whole franchise and again bringing Godzilla back to the creature he was in 1954, which is extremely frightening. I think I was horrified in the first film when he began to evolve to when he powered up and laid waste to an entire city radius. That scene still sends chills down my spine. I hope to see the new installment at some point.

Shin Godzilla and minus one Godzilla def vying for most black Air Force energy of Godzilla’s.
First time I ever felt scared/in fear of Godzilla was Shin Godzilla. That movie legit bothers me😭
Likewise that dude creeps me out. It was missing that horror tag.
Mf was made outta tumors
The final scene in Shin Godzilla made me wanna holler. Yeah they put the horror back in the monster.
