Picking my 2024 80hp varg up tomorrow, It's an insane bike with so much pro's, I can ride it anytime of the day without disturbing neighbors, its almost maintenance free, almost 5 hour enduro ride time, 1-2 hours charge time to 100% and it won't piss people off if i Enduro it around the forrests. Easy to get parts and the Stark support is amazing. Can't wait to slap some spikey tires on it and take it out onto the lake during winter time.
The silent operation might also be an advantage for the track. You guys can keep having fun even if, in the future, you have annoying neighbours that would traditionally complain about the loud noise of engines which often results in the track getting closed.
I can see this being the same issue for out door go kart tracks….can race for longer periods without folks moaning about the noise. More time on track racing, can only be a good thing
A few friends and myself, truck drivers, we done a make a wish convoy for a local disability centre and to say thanks they hooked us up at a local raceway in rally cars. Can't describe the drive but a day I'll take to the grave in my best memories. If you haven't done it, you're missing out big time. You gotta do it Ian you just gotta 💯 👍🇮🇪
Guy Martin had a great idea since it's electric bike and there's no shifter you can have a rear brake on both sides if you want the extra weight I would just go with hand brake too
I'd watch Guy do anything, he's a legend. Even takin' a piss up a tree! Must say I'd miss the note a 2 stroke makes blastin' out of a berm. Im two/four-stroke all day every day! Petrol for life!
guy is a top block. I'd go for brake on the handlebars I think, my hands have better fine control, I ride mountain bikes though so very used to that but I ride mtorocycles too so either would work. I guess I'd need to ride both for a good while to figure out what realy works best. But my feet might get bored with no gears or no brakes for them to work on lol.
They sell these locally, it seems the only trick is it wont necessarily finish a 20 minute moto under a fast rider. It goes into limp mode once the battery gets low enough. And there might not be enough time to charge it for the 2nd moto. Minor issues I'm sure.
Either a blender or a slot car. Moto-Gp has the electric bike class. They weigh 500lbs, can only do 7 laps. They can high side like no other bike made, they're fine one second, the next second the rider is launched to the moon. Watching them is some thing that nobody seems to want to do, something is missing. I would give it some years to get sorted.
They're not gonna replace actual engines. They can't do as many laps and anyways it's a new category so why care so much? You can still watch and listen to engines revving you don't have to watch electric bikes
@@Itzskimpy I couldnt care less about the e bike class, trying to be a good sport and check it out. 2 minutes is a long time watching them go round......it seems as if the wonder of e cars is wearing off for some also, It might be a long time before they really make much sense other than as commuters. I've been wanting one of these from when they started developing them and everyone was slating them. There now out and I can no longer afford one however the want is still the same if not more 😂 what a peace of kit
If you have the rear brake on your left hand and accelerator on your right hand, you can easily overload the system. But, if you'd have front brake on your left, and both rear brake and accelerator on your right, that thing would corner like no other.
Front brake on right like every dirt bike made, a rear hand brake could go on the left. I cant see how brakes could over load the system. Brakes are separate from any other system .
@@bradsanders6954 MTB's have front brake on the left hand. And this way you could wield it double-handed. Braking before lifting, or even without lifting.

That tends to be a European thing, rather than a UK thing. My French wife and I have our bicycles setup differently as the childhood muscle memory is too difficult to get past... Having said that, she managed to ride motorbikes in the UK (and pass her motorbike test there) with the front brake on the right hand, clutch on the left hand and brake on the right foot...😮@@oikkuoek
I think the reason it feels so light is the instant torque, it just carries the bike ^^ If I win the lottery I'm ordering a stable of these things! I'll ride around on 10 hp mode and then slowly go up till I'm fit enough to ride it at a decent pace, I can never ride like these guys due to physical limitations but I could have fun for sure! :D Like they say on the clip, none has said a bad word on this thing, other than the numptys in the comments, and I've watched a ton of videos on them! So darn impressive! I have almost forgotten about my dreams of having a Yamaha Teneré 700... xD Obviously very different bikes...! Edit: Find it funny people struggling to understand Guy and the others all the time, i'm from frickin Sweden and I have zero issues understanding any of these boys! :)
In the intro, the drone shot shows archaeology trenches in the field behind the track....looks like moto101 will be the next track to be closed to make way for housing estate 😢
It's sad to see people laughing and joking while they bang nails in the coffin of motocross. One of the greatest feelings in MX is the ground shaking at Farleigh Castle, we all know. I agree they may have the power and handling, but in their own class, not with real MX bikes.
Guy’s just playing… Trust me if you can ride a superbike around the TT, as well as Guy, then anything else he’s just being polite. Watch him round the TT, watch him at Rossi’s super X track on real bikes… You’ll see he’s just being respectful here…
As much as I don’t like electric bikes/cars they do allow for more tracks to be built closer to housing. Here in Aus people are pathetic and if they hear even the smallest sound of a bike or car the government shuts it down straight away.
Guy riding anything is a joy to watch
