You have to realize you have a whole generation of basically adult age children raising children. They weren’t raised with adequate parenting or accountability and have no idea how to raise children themselves. It may be correct to say it starts with the parents but that’s already a lost cause. I don’t know the answer but it has to start with the young generation before they have kids of their own and continue the cycle. Even if you can get through to some it will probably take a couple of generations to turn around in any meaningful manner. But whatever the answer it certainly isn’t going to come from the current leadership in Chicago.

They quite probably had a lengthy interview with him and took that tiny clip out of context. That happened to me. That evening I was surprised to see myself saying the exact opposite of what I actually said. Being thick headed I have had a number of other interviews over the years. I eventually realized that a journalist was by definition someone who would never let the truth stand in the way of a good story. I then adopted a policy of telling news people that I don't approve of their species and I will not grant an interview. At that time I tought that the news media couldn't sink any lower. I was so naive. Those news people that I've mentioned were gradually replaced by a new species of reporter. The new ones would never let the truth stand in the way of their ideology.
This is the problem. People are beginning to accept this behaviour. Getting that in Portland the people who live there say .. oh! We just don't go downtown! Can you believe it? Letting a group of thugs take over a part of your town?
