In case any of you use bolts to install new one like I did. I used 10 of the 1/4-20x1/2, but the two for the window have to be 1/4-20x1". The the half inch aren't long enough, just so you know before you have to run to the parts store without your window in.
To those doing this repair, Be careful tightening the new bolts on the glass. I overtightened it and it shattered the glass on my previous Grand Marquis. Might be better to tighten those two by hand tools. @TRQ You do great work and this video is very well made. The camera work, editing, voiceover, and repair advice is all top notch. Thanks!
Great video!! 👍 It took me around 8 hours to repair my daughters 2009 Grand Marquis, but that also included multiple trips to Auto Zone and Home Depot!! 😂
Excellemt jpb. The tecknition spoke clearly , showed the systematic sequince of disassembly and also the assembly. Did not skip any steps and made the job much simpler to do. The video person also did his job very well. Focused exactly on the step being taken.
I’m trying to get the driver front window to come down a few inches in order to reach those rivers on the window like you said, but it won’t move in the slightest. Any ideas? It won’t budge one bit! I used your video to get the rear left window regulator/motor replaced a couple weeks ago, and it worked like a dream. But that motor wasn’t completely toast yet.
I paid for a wrecing yard to pull a window for me. I knew better than to try to hammer the window rivets out lol. They broke it. But you DID NOT break it....well done
Wonderful video you did a great job step by step as the guy below me said incredibly helpful and it sure was thank you from the bottom of my heart great job keep up the good work

Gotta LOVE auto makers. Its NOT T20,T25 OR T30 but a T 27 lol. So you need the whole set not just the main ones. I think EVERYTHING should be 5/16.
What size bolts did you use?
Great video! You are a good instructor. Those replacements bolts are all 1 inch long or it has different lengths?
Ok, I read your explanation about the bolts.
Just finished with my driver side and now my passenger side went out😂Thanks for your help.
Thanks for the info made my job easy.
Thank you. The last mechanic broke the switches, so this time I'll do it.

how do you move the window up if its all the way down and the motor is totally dead?
eazy but take your time in the light no rivits in the glass !! use little bolts and locknuts !!
Watching this convinced me not to do this myself lol
I had to use a grinder for the rivets....
Thank God it'll be the first and last time I will replace the window regulator ...
I'm selling the car
Where can I find that punch?
My driver's side front window is completely down.…what now
This is a nightmare, going to a shop
