Really hate it when people say "what do you expect for 20 dollars?" To justify mediocrity. Here on Mexico you can almost eat for two days (if you're not too picky) with 20 dollars and retail prize for Marvel Legends here goes over 30 dollars, so yeah, I might not NEED to spend that kind of money on something I DON'T NEED, but when I do, if I do, I hope it's worth it, that money takes me over a dayjob and a half to make it, so yeah.. screw hasbro's laziness.
best comment i see in a decade. that´s exactly what i think. toy/af companies are used to charge much more than what they offer. from hasbro to hot toys.
@@RickFlu well yeah but I believe there's a thin line were you are still paying 20 dollars for basically a toy but you don't feel cheated out of your money, a good example are those new joes
I mean... You don't have to buy the figure if you don't want, really. I sometimes feel like you guys are pretty hard with Hasbro. They're lazy? Maybe for you, but there's a lot more people who don't mind about technical bullshit. I do think they're doing a great job in terms of quality and price. I'm from Mexico too and I know how difficult can be to buy a figure sometimes, but I also know that if I want something with much more quality I will have to spend maybe more and it's not Hasbro's fault. That's were we need to be smart with the things we buy. If a figure looks shitty and I don't like it, I don't buy it, if I like how it looks I buy it. It's simple enough. Not shitting on the company who made the figure because they didn't do it the way I wanted it.
One of the things that bother me about this figure is the fact that the character is from India. She's a woman of color and hasbro made the alternate head as if she was a white woman.
Yeah If i convert a brazilian Marvel legends price into dollars i would be paying SH Figuarts price on a simple figure, and even worse most store exclusives aren't availble here
Agree. Especially on her body shape. Pepe's but especially Silva's busty drawings revitalized her in Powers of X. She was creepy, but curvy and sexy at the same time.
I just ordered it to place next to Nimrod, she'll just be standing so articulation is moot, but yeah, that leg articulation is terrible. I'm fine with the paint (minus the wrong skin tone on the alt head), I think the flat white would look better than if it were glossy along with the red and black. The thing that bugs me about the guns is the one that has no paint, but it should be easy enough to at least paint the inside of the barrel red. I forgive the paint though because the parts are new, that's probably where the paint budget went. 5/10 though? I'd have gave it a 6, personally. That was a mediocre wave though.
I only read her once or twice in x-men comics though i think her hair was black. I do like this figure especially the hair, kinda cute. I think i am getting her.
Hi Anthony ,will you be reviewing storm collectibles darkseid (small fists) ,doomsday (small heads) , McFarlane DC Multiverse Injustice Flash (short shins)
Why would they EVER bring this terrible shit back. I really thought we were done with that. Legends finally figured out how to do their hips with the Cyborg Spider-Man, just keep doing them like that for gods sake!
How does transformers have better paint and articulation when they transform? They are from the same company. Deep Cover has color correcting paint that matches the plastic. Who even knew about deep cover?
I honestly intend on getting this just for the heads. I'll use them on a custom figure with some better paint and call it a day. The figure itself is an unsurprising disappointment.
Mark my words, Marvel Legends is going to loose a lot of buyers soon, and a lot of people are going to sell big chunks of their Marvel Legends collections, there's so much better stuff in the market right now, and the Marvel fever is slowly fading away
I doubt it. Hasbro almost consistently sells out when they release new Legends waves on their website, same with Target (or Target exclusives). Look at how much certain figures cost, Jim Lee Cyclops is sold at mark up, same as Retro Spider-Man or Jubilee as a less popular character is expensive as well. People are still buying and still going crazy for them. You have people that only collect MCU figs and ML are popular among that crowd and people that only collect comic figs and people that do both. Then you have the collectors that mix their ML collections with other brands. It's never going to end until Hasbro kills the line because it's grossly popular and it's easy for new and old collectors to get figures of their favorite characters.
@@peanutsinspace I don't know man, lately things are going so fast, that there's 3 waves of Legends on their way, and they announced a new one every 2 weeks it feels like, with the competition and other lines I've seen more people leaving Legends or the hobby all together this last months than in the las 5 years
@@AnthonysCustoms @The Raven Whatever helps you sleep at night. These are toys, plain and simple. You want better sculpting and paint? Pay out the cash for actual collectors figures and not figures from Hasbro, a kids toy company without any special high end lines.
Why do people feel the need to constantly apologize for Hasbro? Did you come to this channel expecting a review or a product endorsement? This figure is mediocre. Hasbro is capable of doing better. They choose not to do better on a consistent basis. Whether or not this figure is meant for children is beside the point. A lazy figure is a lazy figure no matter the intended audience. @@aliteralchad7128 no, she's an indian woman who was turned into a sentinel by bastion.
Strange. The Sentinel X in DOFP actually feels more powerful and terrifying
The alternate head sculpt is beautiful and bad at the same time. Hair is supposed to be black and her skin is supposed to be a bit tan.
People say $20 is cheap but not in my country

The moment when Anthony designed a Female Figure Mold for *RIVAL COLLECTIBLES* 👍

She is supposed to habe brown skin and black hair, they completely missed the mark and whitewashed her.
I'm getting her because we'll probably never ever get that figure for a long time and she is from my country :P
I’m tired of female figures from hasbro not having any torso articulation
Good review!
Will you review the rest of the super villains wave, of which the Lady Deathstrike figure was a part of?
None of these are coming to India anytime soon. You can blame the customs for that
Man I love your videos Anthony keep going
I only read her once or twice in x-men comics though i think her hair was black. I do like this figure especially the hair, kinda cute. I think i am getting her.
Also,Hasbro totally whitewashed her! She’s an Indian character with brown skin and black hair but they made that alt head Caucasian.Useless!
Would buy this figure just to use the arm cannons on machine man
Why not do it to match? Because it'll be easier to reuse these parts for their next "noodle" (I think it's more like sausage) person.
In Australia they’re between $35-$40. So it’s over priced in most people’s views.
Get a ton of them and have them as a cyborg army fighting iron man
Can you do a Brolley or any dragon ball Z
Model kit

Y jointed hips on any action figure is quite literally never a good thing. I hate them with a passion lol

Horrible figure lmao. Blandness in figure form.
Does paint cost that much?

I agree with your critics this a halfassed ML.
Thanks for the review Anthony.
Is it worth it? 😅

I collect Sentinels and…this might be the first I skip.
alt head is better
damn that sucks.

I refuse to buy a ton of black series cus of the stupid y-joints

It feels like a kid's toy.....because it is a kid's toy. Saying they are aimed at collectors is a massive assumption.

It's not an assumption. If for no other reason than the BAF these are collectors' figures.
