Howdy Laura. I did a couch to 5k several years ago but I was slow. I also repeated several days until I felt like I was not gonna die. 🤣 You can do it and I can’t wait for your updates. Have a great week.
Life gets in the way Laura. The health of your dad and partner take priority. It has proved that exercise needs to be consistent to maintain what you have gained. It will not be as bad as you think. Get back into it when you can.
Yeah, absolutely. Thankfully his partner is back home now so I'm able to relax and not worry so much. Indeed - Fitness is coming back already in just a few runs so wont be long till im back where I was.
Sorry your family is having health problems, take your time. I understand how hard things can be, I hope things get better! youll get into the hang of things. Sorry you had bad cramps, I feel you on that !
I hope your Dad's partner has a speedy recovery. Don't feel down about the fitness drop Laura sometimes life just gets in the way when it comes to fitness. Stay positive! Don't let the gremlins get you down! Thanks for the update mate! 😎🤘🏻
Thanks Ben, she's back home but still a long way off being fully recovered.. Thankful she's home and making progress though so that's all that matters. Yeah, fitness will come back with time, it's just frustrating.
Hang in there, Laura! Don't worry about other people when you're running: if they think anything at all they're thinking that you're out there getting fit. We're all at different places on our running/fitness journeys. I hope your father and partner are doing better.
Thanks, yeah you're totally right, I was just in my own head abit when actually, noone cares. His partner is thankfully back home now which is a relief, long journey ahead of her but atleast she's home and doing better. Thanks for the support!
i am on the c25k journey, too. the main thing is to actually become a runner and not to only complete the challenge. that is why if i was in your running shoes in these difficult times for your family - i'd pick up at the last week that was actually enjoyable and do it fully, even more if i need to - to make running something enjoyable, something that actually HELPS me through difficult times. gets me out of my head for a bit. something i almost crave. if i have to stay on week 3 or 4 for the whole year - so be it. i'm a runner now. :D
I was a runner prior to taking a break, so for me its about getting back to where I was before lockdown. You're doing great and absolutely, it's fine to repeat weeks, I've said this in a couple of my C25K videos before as I've had to repeat some of the runs.
Hey new sub here 😊 I’d love to do the c25k but I also hit a roadbump and couldn’t bring myself to do it. Sorry to hear about all your troubles. Hope you get some positive news soon💞
Hey! You should totally try it. I've done C25K a couple of times throughout my weightloss journey over the last few years and its a great progressive program.
You're doing good Laura❣We haven't tried running yet, lol but I know we'll suck at it😂We will stick with walking, for now,😋You'll be at the 5k again in no time. If they look at you, and you feel like there judging, give them your prettiest smile, or blow them a kiss
Thank you! Running certainly isn't for everyone, I feel like it sucks a fair amount of time 😂 I will try the smiling technique.. Though I'm sure it'll be more like a grimace 😅
I haven't been so bad with it lately but every so often I have a confidence crisis. I just have to remind myself that literally noone cares.. And if they do, ignore them.. At the end of the day I'm out there bettering myself. 😊
Life does get in the way, you're running pace isn't bad at all, going off the strava screenshots in your last video, I run around that pace to. Do you put ear buds or ear phones in whilst you run?
Thanks, I'm not too terribly fussed in pace, never had, it's just nice to track to see improvements over time. Yeah, I wear my aftershokz and listen to podcasts

Thank you! Yeah, I've done C25K a few times now and usually repeat a couple of the runs until they're alittle easier too. 😅
@@lauradryden I'm gonna start working towards a 5k this month, but just walking for now. I'll get there one day. 😁
@@YourPalMisty yeah you will! 🙌

@@lauradryden oh ok, i thought you were a total beginner like me. best of luck to you and your loved ones!

I hope things work out with your family. You're right, just get out their and enjoy the run, no one is really paying much attention to you.
Thank you, Dads partner is home now so its looking up. Yeah, I gave my head a wobble and haven't found it as hard getting out 😅
I get the same way with exercising outside... I know that no one is staring or judging but I can’t seem to get the thought out of my head. 💚🐝
