I went to check out Hat Head, a less usual place to get great surf but it happens! As I sat looking at the waves a group from the old Surfaris tours turned up. These groups are, or rather were, mostly foreign beginners. One guy asked if I was living there and I said , yes , just back a little inland on a farm. He said " Wow , I am from Chile and you are so lucky, these beaches are so beautiful! " It makes you stop and consider how much we take for granted - itbiscalso one of the poorest areas of Australia, loads of social problems and stress but it is truly one of the last bits of rural living on the East coast not gentrified.
This stretch of coast is crowded, all the good spots are wellknown and have a crew of locals. The only chance of uncrowded waves is walk a mile plus along a beach and hope to find a sandbar.Six months to explore with a pushbike!
Recognised a few of my old surfing spots around Forster in this vid, not gunna mention them but it was nice to see them still uncrowded, with the dolphins and sparkling blue water.
It's on the map now, thanx guys.

Sharky stretch. Never feel comfortable sitting out the back in the area solo
very sharky
Great way of life living in the country and surfing good uncrowded waves. Dolphins, dogs on the beach, Aussie beach life, unreal
Lovely video !

Love this comment. Sounds like you had some good times. Yeww
Laid back lads on a laid back road trip scoring some sic little beachies along the way. Nothing better than that. What surfing's all about.
Unexplored, sure mate. Every inch of the east coast NSW has been hit for decades. Best spots though. Nice vid!
is that the 'fly over' part of the east coast of Aus?
Sick clip!
Wonder who sponsored the video

You guys made slammed very average waves! wooo
Crescent is the only good spot

I love it when stereotypes are solidified. Nothing too complex going on in these guys heads... ever.
Here comes the boom
So glad they didn’t go to any of the good spots...

God's country.
Back to basics. Surf Buffets.
very sharky, wouldn’t recommend unless you’re desperate
Another 6 minute video with 30 seconds of surfing. Have you thought of doing after dinner speeches talking about yourself
in a boring drawl.
That song at the end……it’s just really bad 🤷
