American Airlines A319 Flight BOS-STL [PSA RETRO JET]

- Welcome aboard American Airlines flight 2476 from Boston to St. Louis. Todays flight would be my first time back on American since July of 2012, back when American still used the terminal B-north gates at Logan, when their 737's still had eyebrows, tube TVs, AMERICAN WAY, and Skymall. All before they merged with US Airways. I was pretty much trying out a new airline for the first time... all these years and I've managed to avoid stepping onto an American Airlines jet. N742PS started out with US Airways before American slapped their new logo on in 2014. I'm glad they kept the stunning livery on this plane and it really compliments the rest of the retro jets in American's fleet nicely. I wish I could say the same for the interior of this LUSBUS though. It was filthy. While the seats and floor area were clean and vacuumed from the plane spending the night in Boston , the walls, overhead bins, lavatory, and PSU's were coated in this layer of thick dust. It probably had been quite awhile since it was in the shop and was a pretty good indicator of how hard these A319's are used. The plane is also one of the more senior aircraft in American's fleet at this point as well. The flight attendants were friendly throughout the flight and I could hear them apologizing to people near me who complained about the cabins cleanliness, offering them sanitizing wipes. Despite having a little delay in Boston due to the airlines website giving everyone wrong gate information, we touched down in St. Louis on time!

I'm from Northern Indiana and saw this flight on FlightRadar24. I was hoping to snap a picture of you going over ( The PSA Retro is my favorite AA heritage livery by the way) but it was too far away unfortunately. But never thought I'd run into a video on the flight. Glad you were able to get to STL safely. Fortunately, I got to see the PSA fly over on her way to ORD from Jacksonville Sunday evening as flight AA2808. Earlier today, the American West Heritage Livery took 2808 to ORD and missed in unfortunately. Saw the Piedmont Heritage Livery later in the evening to make up for it.

It's good that there is still a PSA plane left, I think his painting is beautiful because he even has a smile but one question is this the only PSA plane left 🇧🇷🥰🤩✈️
Thanks for watching! This plane was repainted recently back to Americans regular colors and now one of their larger A321’s wears this livery… kinda wish they kept this A319 around long enough for a picture to be taken of the two of them together before it was repainted…

Nice comparison! I always compare the sound of the 320 family power transfer unit to a barking dog, or someone sawing away at the landing gear! Now that you mention turntables, I can’t not think of that now lol! Cheers!

Haha yeah… he was a chonker too… clearly had just eaten or something ahaha… going a little too fast in dense fog… not a good idea! The funniest part of it all was about 5 minutes prior to the accident, I had asked my friend off camera how he thought his car would handle hitting different animals and I mentioned a raccoon😂😂 I would pay serous money to go back and get the situation on camera!
