  • We are working on a highway project clearing trees 65 ft from the center of the intersection. Working with a local Construction company on this one.

    Tell those other boys to get rid of the chipper and get a tub or horizontal grinder and they can get rid of the stump and tree in one

      Yes that would be better but hard to get it in the ditch and we move very often

    How is the logging business up that way? I log in NC but I own a house in Canton, MI and I have considered moving my operations when my dad retires. He is 75 now. I am tired of these mountains and cliffs!!

      I don't know what it is compared to down there but the markets are horrible right now

      @@Pullhardlogging you can work all you want but can't make anything. We get around 275 per thousand on saw logs contracting for mills and we have to process all, no tree length. And that is on international. And off road is 5.00 a gallon and highway about 6.00 a gallon. And we work on 50 and 60% slope all the time in the mountains here. Have to hand cable about everything. Now that I have a track cutter I am just super sick of these mountains. Tired of watching mildew grow on my grapple skidders.

    Does that grapple have a saw on it? What's on the left side of it?
