- In this video, I share with you all how to make the ultimate LEGO Harry Potter Hogwarts combination, featuring the 2023 Battle Of Hogwarts set which REALLY does a great job in tying everything together! I have extremely mixed feelings about this entire system of which I go on to share in the video, along with footage of everything falling apart multiple times due to the fragility of certain sets. Finally a video that explains how to adjust everything. But sadly we need the chamber of secret set. My daughter thought we could put everything together by now.
Edit: We bought the chamber yesterday 😂 We switched the bathroom and Lockharts classroom because my daughter said the bathroom had to be over the slide
Your daughter is right lol! Not sure why LEGO decided to do it the other way around, it kinda ruins the play feature! Thank you guys for watching! :)
The main advantage of combining these is that it expands even more. Hagrid's hut can added to the side with the Whomping Willow build. Hogsmeade is at the same scale along with Shrieking Shack and Hogsmeade Station builds. If you've got a ping-pong table in the basement you can build most of Harry's world.
The end result is cool however, I don’t like that you have to take things apart to make other things fit correctly. Lego should’ve just had each side combine.
Although my combination may not be exactly as shown in the picture due to how unclear it is, I did give it my best shot and feel like the end result is pretty cool! The nice thing about these sets is that there isn’t a right or ‘wrong’ way to combine them :)

my autism is kicking up and i hate that lego made this combination, and didn't have the girl's bathroom above the slide down to the Chamber of Secrets, it's not accurate!
I honestly don’t blame you, I think it was an awkward move as well 😭 I wish lego considered that 😔
actually in the instruction book of the bathroom set, you can see that the bathroom can be put above the slide. You can swap the position of each room.
I switched the position of the two sets. Fits very well

I think you are supposed to place Lockhart’s under the right side of the hospital wing instead of the fireplace to make the entrance from the Battle of Hogwarts set align with the bridge. Just a thought to match the combination from the pictures. It is still quite impressive how you can now make basically a minifigure-scaled version of the 2018 micro-scale Hogwarts castle set by using the green roof sets. There are still a bunch of inaccuracies, but it no longer looks like an entire wall of Hogwarts when combining the sets together.

Yeah there's a couple inaccuracies in LEGO's instructions for the combination :(
I'm in the process of doing this, I just need the battle of hogwarts and the room of requirements sets. I was going to get a custom made acrylic display case for it all, but I heard that we might be getting some more sets next year to add. So I might wait until then.
Why don't they just do what they did with rivendell and release a section of the castle as a ucs set IN UCS QUALITY

The castle looks surprisingly accurate and less blocky than before, but have you noticed how the Room of Requirement always faces outward?
Yup, it’s kinda awkward to position it right without being out of frame 😭
@@SwiftBricks True. I have the 2018-2020 castles and just set that Room of Requirement in the middle of the castle.
I can see myself throwing everything out of the window after the fifth time the Set collapse due to his fragility .-.
Yeah I love keeping it real here… I almost did just that but there are no windows in my basement 🙃
This is the most frustrating Lego thing I’ve ever done. A bunch of technic pins almost snapped in half. All kinds of craziness went on, almost screamed a few times, not sure where some of the figures fell and ended up, and after that whole ordeal I’m not sure I want to keep it this way. This video is slightly inaccurate. I changed Lockhart’s office to be under the hospital wing and I made the bridge go to the door like I think it supposed to but I just don’t know if it’s worth it this has just been crazy. It’s also kind of weird in my opinion to have these extra bits lying around and it dings even incorporate the common room or the fluffy sets.
I am in the same boat as you, it was the worst thing ever. I almost cried a few times recording this 💀
The second section of Hogwarts courtyard is supposed to go on the very right side next to the Room of Requirement. Then you can put Lockharts cabinet under the right side of the Hospital Wing. Also to connect the viaduct to the east wing of the castle you need to swap two sections of Hogwarts Battle set with each other so that the gate is on the top. Otherwise the rest is pretty much accurate.
That’s one way to do it!
@@SwiftBricks Of course you can make your own layout. I’m just saying how it’s in the official version. I made my own with every single set including 2018-2021 system :D

All joking asside, I'm not too sure what to think about this combination, from a distance it looks very cool, but up close it looks kinda messy and unsturdy. Plus I have a feeling that trying to build this thing must have given a pretty authentic experience of getting lost at Hogwarts xD. However I'm definitely impressed with how they got the shape right, really didn’t ex expect that with these specific sets. In the end I'm mostly curious with how they will go from here. Either way great review.
It looked great until it's actually done I will be trying to keep the bathroom and chamber together and the grand tower looking like the tower idc I will add my own parts because this combo has potential

Honestly not a big fan of the whole thing. I mean - the idea is great, but this just looks like a mess, the rooms are not at all where they are supposed to be, stuff like the bathroom not lining up with the chamber of secrets entrance, etc... It's a really cool concept overall, but it could've been done way better... this thing just looks thrown together and flimsy.
I agree with you, putting it together is honestly so painful!

I mean Lego is the one that didn’t use all the pieces, she’s just showing how they did it.
