    I ran a set of used Toyo MTs 315/70-17 on my beadlocks on my F150. Got them with about 30% life on the front and 60% on the rear. 1 year and maybe 15k miles later the front were done and rears still at about 45-50% life. I just got a brand new set of the same tire. I will say these are my favorite MTs on the road. Absolutely quiet, I go about 90 from Orlando to Miami the whole way and back and I get no road noise at all or vibrations out of them. They balanced out perfectly too.

    When it comes to mud nothing beats super swampers. It dont matter how many miles they will go if you get stuck every time you hit that mall parking lot muddy spot.

      For straight mud, can't beat a Super Swamper Bogger, greasy side hills are their achilles heel. Lots of times I've slid sideways due to the relatively straight tread pattern. For all around use and mostly mud be better served with some Super Swamper TSL's

    I am using the BFG KM3's. Its on a lifted Ram truck. I have used Toyo At/Rt/Mt's, Nitto Trail Grapplers, Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar, Kuhmo M71 tires on my last 3 trucks (2 Ram Powerwagons and my current 2022 Ram Badlander. The BFG Km3's are the best offroad tire made in my opinion. It does everything. If you keep any of the tires I mentioned rotated on a regular basis, they are all going to work pretty well though.

    I have KM2's on my CUCV trucks and Toyo MT's on a Chevy K20. Both do well off road. The Toyo has a stiffer sidewall and actually measures out to advertised size. The larger size KM2's were not even close to advertised specs, but otherwise a great tire.

    RBP Repulsor have been excellent. Cheaper directional tire that balance and wear is exceptional. Noise is reasonable, not excessive. By far my most preferred tire bang for buck. If I want the best “off road tire” I would buy Interco Super Swamper.

    Hankook MT'2's are the best MT I have ever ran as far daily driver MT goes. They have significantly more grip than a hybrid and are quieter than some. I have around 50,000 mi on set now with room to spare. They have plenty tread to get through the winter without getting me stuck. Next fall I will probably buy them again. They best hybrid I have ever ran was the Kelly TSR/Edge. They are a 60,000+ mile tire if you rotate. They do get loud though when they wear down and they like to pick up rocks. The Hankooks don't pick up rocks and are quieter. I wish Kelly would add stone ejectors to them.

    KM3s here, we got them about 17 months ago, less than a thousand miles on them, entirely on road so far, 285/75R16x7, no regrets. Had Firestone MT2s before, they had a more aggressive tread but a softer sidewall. Probably try M/T Baja Boss MT next.

    I'm in Colorado and there's not a whole lot of mud per day.. I do like the MT tread pattern for the look over many AT tires. How do they perform in snow? Many of the snow tires cand handle off road mud terrain because the gaps in the tread are much tighter.

    Run the nitto trail grappler m/t's on f350 work truck, always loaded or pulling a trailer, good off & on road, if rotated properly I'll get 50,000 to 70,000 miles out of them, it's all I run on that truck, think I'm on set # 4 now, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I am thinking of trying something different on a 97 f350 that finally just got lifted. Looks like Mickey Thompson Baja legend mtz's are a bit cheaper, still a load range E, anyone have any experience with them ? Are they a decent tire that I will get my money's worth out of them? I have the Nitto ridge grapplers, but in no way would I call it a mud tire, an A/T yes. It has been good for everything so far, but I haven't had 1' or deeper snow to use them in yet. For traction on the highway there great. Oh yeah you messed up, you were calling it a ridge grappler, and I thought it was a Trail grappler.

    toyo MTs have the best looking (and thickest) side lugs. Pretty quiet. Only slightly louder than my old ridge grapplers. My only grip is I have a slight vibration at like 5mph, on pavement, due to the aggressive lugs.

    • @todd_raymond
      @todd_raymond ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Crazy as it sounds, I like the feeling of the aggressive lugs at slow speeds.. I have the BFG KM2 now and love the sound/feeling but no longer made in 35's. I'm torn between Nico and Toyo and might come down to which one is louder/more vibration. Thoughts since you ran them both??
