The open country are aight. I like my wildpeaks better than I did the open country. My ko2s are super bumpy and loud. Still dig the wildpeaks better than I do ko2s. Next on my list are those Kendas. Saw them on an off-roader and fell In love with the look. They look mean and they are awesome on mtbs so they can’t be that bad for cars.

Currently running the AT3's on my 3rd gen Cummins and love them! No tread squirm, good traction, quiet and so far, they're wearing very well. I drive my truck hard and live where the roads are VERY twisty. I hit most corners 30MPH over the posted recommended speed and they grip excellent. Highly recommended for heavy pickups

It may not be the best offroad..but the toughest tire that won't leave you stranded is the bfg..I've run every all terrain tire there is from every major company when I was hotshotting in the oilfield/then working for a oilfield pipeline company. They all blew out prematurely.. except the bfg..I could run it till the tread was gone..

Got 84k out of my 1 set of KO2s. Still had sufficient tread for wet weather. At 50k it is still a very serviceable offroad tire. That's the biggest advantage - as good on and off road as all the others but truly superior tread wear. Mine have seen use from south Florida sugar sand and swamp to Georgia clay/mud to Virginia snow and gravel. Superb tire.

I’ve heard good and bad about the ko2 I just ordered 4 of them for my ram 1500 I’ve been wanting to try this out in severe snow and wet conditions. So we will see how it goes I ran wild peaks and got decent life out of them. And I know these are better. Most people won’t get proper alignments done too. Proper alignments and rotating extends life

Toyo at3 hands down !! I'll only buy toyo from now onwards, I've had them and the last truck I bought came with some aftermarket rim and ko2,s on them and had them switched out to toyo by the end of the week.
Drive 190 kms today and it was -40c and they are like claws
The ko2,s had about 20k kms on them and they were pretty beat up.
My last set of toyo went 80k then I sold my truck but I'd say still at 75%-80% treed left, would of kept them for atleast two more years. So in total of 4.5 years on a set of tires that's not bad

I'm disappointed in the Nitto Ridge Grappler for tread life, snow, ice, slush, wet. At 20k miles right now mine are more than 2/3 worn out and I'm not impressed with winter performance. Mine will be worn out before 30k miles on a RAM 2500. I won't be buying them again. They have been great for towing my toy hauler and I like how they don't throw stones into my body when off-road very often.

I've just surpassed 85k on my ATZ P3's. Finally had one fail. Still had decent tread. Heard a slapping sound coming from a driver front wheel on my drive home from work. Pulled over and the tire was half inflated. Looked underneath and saw a section of steel cable coming out at the bead between the rim and the sidewall. Too many miles on the tires to just replace one. It's a shame MT has discontinued that model. Currently evaluating alternatives.

Very quiet on the road for what they are. Great off-road (sand, mud) i took my truck out on trails in 2wd that a 1 ton diesel shouldn't have been on and tore right through it. I've had ko2s, wildpeak at3w, general grabber atx, and goodyear wrangler ultra terrain. Was not impressed with the wildpeak at3w. They lasted 20k miles and I babied them. They got chipped up quickly, offered poor protection from rock penetration, and traction in mud was mediocre. Not a good tire for sustained offroad use, not too bad for highway driving though. I am really impressed with the goodyear ultraterrains and general grabbers atx so far. ko2s were good, I didnt have a ton of experience with them

BFG KO’s are the original All-Terrain tire…why are you all of a sudden saying it’s in the RT/ Hybrid class, and why are you also saying all-terrain’s are not meant for on and off road conditions? Isn’t that the definition of “all-terrain” ?? 🤔

    • @MS-it9vv
      @MS-it9vv 2 ปีที่แล้ว

All-Terrains typically don’t have a thick enough sidewall to handle off-road duty when aired down… and if you hit difficult, rocky trails in a fully-inflated AT, you’re much more likely to pick up a leak/flat when you come to a sharp-ish rock… especially if you make contact with the sidewall.

Seems like BFG is making some decisions to increase profit vs. performance. KO2 is the most expensive tire with the shallowest tread depth. No wonder the "Peoples Tire" has moved to the WildPeaks.

Hello, my friend, what would you advise on tires for the 2018 Ford Explorer, that I would be happy in the field and at the same time on the asphalt at speeds of about 130-170km, I know that it's hard to compromise, but please advise me for 20 inch rims, because if I reduced the size of the rim, then the clearance but when i stay at 20cali ???

Those kanati seem to be targetting the BFG KO2 as their direct competitor judging by the thread pattern!
Now, I would like to get some feedback and orientation
I need a nice set of tyres for 80% paved roads and 20% offroad (most of it dirt track and gravel) it is going on a toyota hilux, it is 4x4 and my trucks generally see a bit of highway, a bit of city, a bit of towing and a bit of hawling. I certainly max out at towing (about once or twice a month). I use about 50% to 70% of my payload capacity when only hawling. I like to go camping and fishing and it is both on and off road. I like traveling in highways at high speeds. I see no snow (or once every 5 years or so).
What would you reccomend me? My dad had a set of KO2 in his colorado and he was in love with them, wo much he has mostly selled me on those, but I still wanna consider other options. Most tyres here in mexico are from Cooper, BFG, Toyo, Nitto, Goodyear, Michelin, Firestone and Pirelli. Also have acces to Kenda, Maxxis and other smaller manufacturers, but not so much.

I need tires for my f250 super duty. I had the bfg ko2s. They were unstoppable on my truck in the snow. Had a few big snowstorms here in nj a few years ago 2+ foot and they blew through everything. Had to pull my boss up a hill on the road in his diesel gmc dually with a 18 foot dump trailer hooked to his truck when he jack knifed it in a snow bank trying to get up the hill. Then had to blaze trail with him following just to get the trailer to the jobsite. Then had to pull him out 2 more times after we got the trailer off. Long story short the bfg ko2's were absolutely awesome in the snow only complaints is the price for 1 and they wore like shit. I had them for almost 4 years granted I don't drive far for work. We work local but I seriously got maybe 12 to 15 k miles on them and they were skins. I did have an alignment issue but rotated every oil change. Although I got years out of them but no mileage whatsoever. For how much I drive I should have had them for 10 years. Im really brand loyal and love bfg. I had the original ko's on my bronco and my explorer and expedition. The ko2's rocked when new but I guess they couldn't handle my f250. Im definitely digging those kendas.

I run K02 tires on my ZR2 which is MUCH lighter than an F250. But that said I agree about the performance in the snow and they are great in the sand but they are not a good mud tire. I have 25k miles on mine and they are still pretty much like new.

I run Goodyear Duratrac’s on my F-250 and love them. Very little road noise and do very well in mud and snow. Handling on road was a little weird at first then I discovered the tire place had the pressures wrong. Fixed that and it handles great.
