Many of the photos and B-roll shown in this video are not shot in Illinois. They totally missed Garden of the Gods, and Giant City, as well as Illinois Beach State Park and Siloam Springs SP. Also, many of the animals shown were not native to Illinois.
@daveg1457 I've been there and it don't look like illinois and alot of people don't know about shawnee national forest. They are borderline mountains and some may quality as a mountain. Beautiful land. I live 2 min from starved rock and its very hilly and canyons all around me. Most of illinois has hills and whatnot and alot think it's just flat land here
So many pics that aren't Illinois. You know we can Google Image Search and see you bought pics of scenery that isn't Illinois and sometimes not even in the US. 👎
Just watch your things at Apple River Canyon Campground. Many years ago had my Colemans stove, pots and pans and my kids fishing poles stolen. A bunch of teens were wandering through sites during the day so pretty sure they are the ones who stole our things. Had to be some real losers to steal my kids fun!
Most of our state park facilities are run down garbage. They look abandoned. Our ample tax revenue is spent to someone’s pocket apparently. Horrible roads, state parks, schools. You name it. We do have natural beauty as shown in this video. Just don’t expect a restroom or clean campsite.

southern illinois is tops
I'm surprised there were not more state parks mentioned in Southern Illinois, such as Giant City SP or Dixon Springs SP
I’ve been to starved rock. Amazing. And I really like one of the waterfalls.
I live 10 minutes east of Starved Rock State Park. It is really beautiful. There is also a nice lodge and restaurant.
Why are you showing pictures of mountains that are clearly not in Illinois? 😂
Right. It's so ridiculous.
Which ones?
These all appear to be Illinois. Garden of the gods is very mountainous. Although how it didn't make the list is mind boggling.

Try living in Montgomery county Illinois, flat with nothing but corn and soy bean fields lol

Excellent channel. I've been looking for someone that focuses on State Parks.
Great work!!!
Thank you very much! Glad you enjoyed!
Please....keep 'em coming.

You also mispronounced Math-e-son
I screamed it each time he said Myth-thigh-i-son.
He also mispronounced De-CATE-ur (Decatur. )
Many pictures not in Illinois. And Decatur is pronounced "long E, long A, accent on the ca". Also Illinois Beach State Park in Zion.
There's also NO equestrian trails at Starved Rock
There is at Mathieson which is very close, might be honest mistake.
Matthesin park which is behind a golf course and another one is close.. both like 2 min from starved rock
