Ine no Funaya boathouses! I visited the village of Ine in my last trip to Japan in Jan. 2020. I can't wait to get back to Japan again. I took a bus from Miyazu to Ine and the bus stops very close to the tourist centre. Before I arrived, I arranged for a private guide from the tourist centre. It was lovely to walk around the village and learn about the history and life of the funaya. My guide helped me make a lunch reservation at Wadatsumi Sushi. 10/10 would recommend the whole experience!

The oysters look awesome.. the boathouse stay looks like such an amazing adventure stay... better than a Holiday Inn... ha ha. A Japan roadtrip would be awesome, since I checked the cost of train travel there and it isn't cheap.. but driving on other side of the road..I'd be toast.
