O the last mic shot that you showed Louis got so angry and the boys all left the stage and went down with the fans. It took security a while to get them back on stage. The had a meeting with management and the boys said it's all of us or none of us. That's how close and brave these boys were
She didn't even talk about management not letting Niall get his nee surgery, Niall ended up being on crutches because of them. They would force him to preform in concerts when his nee hurt and there we're many time we're he would hobble off of stage because the pain was too much. Liam almost committed suicide and had a drinking problem because of them. Harry an Louis were not allowed to be together, even sit beside each other, and were set up in fake relationship because of Larry Stylinson. They wrote a song called 'They don't know about us' it is rumored that that song is about Harry and louis being in a relationship and I am pretty sure that management would not let them preform it live. Zayn had even said that he went through anxiety and depression and that caused him to leave the band. In the boot camp Zayn did not feel comfortable going on and dancing Simon looked at him and said you ruining this. Zayn felt that the only thing in his life he could control was what he ate so he choose not to eat. All of them weren't allowed to write songs about thing that had value to them because management had to 'proof' it before it could be published. Louis has started his own company is out of the SYCO Management. There is so much stuff these boys went through and as much as I want a reunion if they are happier solo with out the management then them beeing happy is what matters.

Louis always makes me cry. He has always been underrated. Even when he was the funniest people made him feel like he was boring. In his song, he literally says "nobody cares when you're boring". He makes great music, his songwriting is beautiful and has the best fans now but he's still criminally underrated. He was never aggressive, his sassy personality might make him seem aggressive but he's actually the sweetest. He's the kind of person who would even care for some random person you meet on the streets. If people say that he hates the fans, well Louies would like to differ. Louis and Louies are like bestfriends. They take group selfies like friends, they play with each other, they banter with each other, they even flip each other off. It's a signature thing between them. He even checks upon his fans often which not a lot of artists does. If louis was not there in one direction, their song lyrics wouldn't have been half as amazing. He wrote the most number of songs for one direction followed by liam and that person was made to feel useless, that's depressing. If this all is not enough, louis made an entire festival in London with free tickets for fans who can't afford and he said he would like to do it every year. This festival has been his dream since he was in one direction. When Louis was giving out tickets for his concert he chose smaller places afraid that it won't sell 😣

Wow, this is so painful! I only fell into this fandom 90 days ago, and have heard this Louis quote many times. Despite all the shitty things their management did too them, they were still able to become so beloved by countless fans all over the world. Their success’s individually speak volumes as well! Could anyone imagine how much bigger they would have been if they weren’t treated so badly??!! If they had the freedom to love who they wanted? If they had proper time off to recoup and just enjoy the moment. They started with 5 truly amazing personalities and talents. They didn’t need to be so controlled. If they could have just been themselves, they would have been something completely unique!! So much more fun. Deeper lyrics. Zayn’s artwork, Louis insane improve and comedic timing. When I stop to think about their solo career I feel so proud!! To see them being who they want to be, write and sing whatever they want, but sometimes I'm afraid of having things happening and we're not seeing, just because of everything they've been through before.
I think things might be happening in the back. I don't have much proofs, but the fact that Harry Styles became a brand and Liam's managment dropping him 'because his parties are out of control', say a lot. Maybe they're better than what they were in 1D, but they're still struggling
its actually so terrible, i love one direction but it was so damaging for them. (possible tw) harry has mentioned how simon caused him anxiety, liam has mentioned in an interview that if one direction didnt go on the hiatus it would have killed him, and during the band he developed alcoholism bc he turned to alcohol and getting drunk. zayn developed anorexia (an ED) and extreme anxiety. they werent allowed to sleep or eat a lot because they were always on tour, always making albums, always doing interviews. i cant imagine how draining that is. idk how someone could put them through that. it was crazy for all of the boys and i feel so bad. i hate simon and the management, so much.
I 100% do not like management at all, but when they “turned Niall’s mic off” they didn’t actually turn it off and Niall said it. It was technical difficulties and when Niall was ‘sad’ he was actually just sad earlier that day and his eyes were watering, im not going to say why or try to figure out why he was sad because I respect his privacy, anyway his eyes were watering but you can also see he was laughing/giggling with Louis. Nouis always finds a way to make something funny.
Can you explain the times when his ordinary mic went off as well though? It's literally right here in the video. And when you're in that situation in front of thousands with the pressure to perform, you are going to laugh and make a joke out of it, because what's the alternative?
Your reaction over Niall and the mic situation is exactly how I felt about the situation. Niall is so freaking talented and his voice is actually so amazing, but management thought it wasn’t as good (probably because they didn’t give him enough opportunities to practice but I still think his voice was great). They would actually turn down Nialls mic every show and sometimes, like she pointed out in the video, they would cut it out completely. It was really sad to see him give his all and management not giving a shit about him. Second, Niall suffered a knee injury while in the band and management constantly made him have to postpone his surgery for tours. Niall was walking on a painful leg for MONTHS!! He would literally limp off stage after shows because it hurt so bad. Another thing to mention is Liam and Zayns mental health. Liam was suicidal and almost killed him self from all the pressure he was experiencing and he developed a drinking and drug problem at 18 to cope with the stress. Zayn got severe depression and anxiety while in the band and actually developed an eating disorder. He was so thin and the media was constantly going after him, calling him gaunt or sickly and such. He also was having panic attacks right before performance and was still forced to go out there. They both just needed help and the management didn’t care. And don’t even get me started on Larry cause there is so much management did to hurt them Though I am so sad the band broke up, I am so happy they are out of that toxic environment. My hope is that one day they reunite on THEIR terms and manage themselves. They deserve to be happy 💚💙🇮🇪❤️💛
Liam also said in an interview that him and the guys would drink vodka and red bull before some of the shows (at a young age) because of how tired they were from touring back to back and that because of this he eventually developed an alcohol problem
I agree that their managment is messed up. They were just boys who wanted to fulfill theirs dream.And then what made me really sad was when Louis said all these nice things about boys and hw tallented they are and then he said " and then there is me..." I felt so bad for him cuz hes just amazayn yk. And then the interview when Liam opened more about his problem with alcoholism back in One Direction. He said thet he had to drink before he went on stage or he wouldnt handle the nerves and pressure otherwise.That made me really upset as well. Also probably the saddest thing for me was Zayns ED. I dont really wanna talk too much about it cuz its kinda personal too me but its just so so sad that he had to go through this at such a young age. And what about how they were only home for 2 weeks through the year!?! They were constantly touring and making new music they never had a break. They would be on tour for one album and after the show they would go to their hotel room and start recording tracks for the next!

I feel that the branding is normal to an extent, but 1D management just went overboard with it. But I feel like Liam’s was the most harmful, in the sense that his branding ensured that he had the least fans and was the least likeable. As you said he was the buzz kill to his band mates and boring to their fans. When you think that their core fans were teenage girls, then you begin to realise why he wouldn’t get as many cheers as his band mates. Because what teenage fans go for ‘the responsible one’, they’d rather go for the ‘sexy one’, ‘the mysterious one’, ‘the sassy one’ or the ‘cheeky one’. In the music industry everyone knows that sex sells, so as harmful as that branding might be to someone who’s underage and isn’t at all a womaniser… that branding wouldn’t hurt your bank. But being classed as Mr Boring has no up side and it hurts your bank. Money isn’t everything, but if you want to be a successful musical artist you have to gain fans and make money. People wonder why Liam’s branding was drastically changed when he went solo, the ‘boring’ branding had to be expelled FULLSTOP. There’s no ifs or buts, his branding was aggressive, but I get it.
Hey Kahuna! I can watch you for literally hours, I love your content! This literally breaks my heart, I grew up watching and listening to these boys and they really helped me get through some not so great childhood times. But as I got older and realized the things that they had to go through, it once again broke my heart bc while they were aiding in giving me all these happy memories they were suffering at times in the band. They were just children too, 16-18 when the band started & they were overworked from the beginning, 5 albums in 5 years is not a normal thing, they literally would record/write their new album while still touring the latest one. Although I know the boys have said before that despite all that they did enjoy their time in 1D, I don’t think any of them would want to go back and I don’t blame them because I wouldn’t want them to either unless it’s all by their own terms. You should react to Louis’ song ‘Just Like You’ it was a release just for the fans, and in the music/lyric video if you pay attention to the news articles in the background there’s a lot that have to do with the industry. A lyric from the song: “But you only get half of the story /The cash, and the cars and the glory /No sleep and we party 'til morning/ 'Cause nobody cares when you're boring/ I’m just like you /Even though my problems look nothing like yours do /Yeah, I get sad too”
I learned all of this stuff in the course of a year and I got so distraught 🤦🏾♂️ they had big dreams and it turned into a nightmare.. I’m that they had each other at the end of the day. And I’m going to be doing Louis content real real soon ☝🏾❤️

it’s literally so heartbreaking to see what the boys had to go through. they deserved none of it. yes i wished they were together but they broke up for their own mental health which i’m so thankful that they did that because who knows what would happen if they stayed in the group. truth hurts but it’s reality.

Larry Stylinson was so hyped up during that time as it use to be seen that louis and harry use to like each other alot.....at some point in 2013 louis was called back in England by simon before 1d left to Australia to fo their show and after that very incident the fond and liking of Louis towards harry started to fall drastically and this makes me soo sad that the management had killed a great great friendship 🥺
Hey Kahuna. And they've been tryna leave since late 2014...before Zayn left. Harry had requested a hiatus while Zayn was around and it was denied. They were constantly told that they had to make 1 more album, or whatever. Zayn couldn't handle it no more so he bounced. Well that's what i heard
I been to 5 1d concerts and in 5/5 naills mike was lowered. No lie, he would be touching his ear piece and checking his mike to see if he can adjust it

Hey Kahuna💜, You should read some of Louis’ tweets! 💙💙 He constantly tweets “Hope everybody’s ok!” and stuff and he’s always so kind to fans. He is super close to his fans and if you see him interact with fans it’s so sweet and he’s really a nice person. That said, he’s not scared to stand up for his fans. And we aren’t scared to stand up for him either. This means we always have each others back. There’s like level of trust i think, and Louis always ALWAYS (!!) talks about how amazing we are and how dedicated we are and stuff. If you see his reaction to fans questions he’s always so genuine. fans who have met him in person always say how he takes the time to really talk to them. and at meet and greets he always hugs fans and makes sure they’re ok if they’re crying or anything. he’s not rude to us. and when people see us flip him off, and him flip us off they think it’s this hatred thing but it’s really like an inside joke and a sign of our appreciation. louis is one of the kindest celebrities out there to his fans.
On another note about Niall, there's this one really heartwarming video that disproves everything that their management thought about him and his contribution to the band. I don't know where it was, but they were singing Little Things and Niall's solo came on.. the screams were so fucking loud, they even drowned out his mic (which was on this time) and you can just see how he smiles in response to how loud the screams were and I'm just 😭😭😭😭😭

Hey kahuna, yeah it was all really messed up and there are no words to explain the sadness we feel when we talk about this. I saw someone the other day say "they gave up their childhood so that we could have ours" and I think that really hit me because that's what they did. I don't want them to come back if they're going to be with the same management either, they're happy now and thats all I want for them. They did their part for us now its time for us to do our part for them❤

im starting to watch this now. answering your question what would we do: absolutely nothing, except being there to support emotionally... as you all signed a contract and your kid will tell you that it is how it has to be. you support in the background as much as you can, but i believe that the contracts with these tv show deals are SO tight that there is no leeway for anyone to do whatever it is until the contract is done, unless you want your life destroyed (as it will have financial toll that you usually as a normal person cannot take on and also you know the artist's career is burnt down as the industry works on influences....)

That is so scary how they were pushed so hard and not protected when Harry was having attacks on stage and Zayn fainting, plus Niall’s knee surgery. If I was a parent I would have been extremely upset. Plus why did they allow Harry to get hit so much by objects to this day. They sexualization of Harry was also very abusive for the industry to allow Harry to go through in interviews. The gay rumors also of the boys being in relationships also was wrong when many photos were photoshopped to make it appear to be true. They said many times they are just good friends they spend so much time together away from friends and family. Very sad and dangerous.

Harry Styles has pursued girls since the age of 6. I swear to you that made me see red and I would've slapped management and broke their faces at the moment, it hurt so bad. Niall’s mic not working once is a technical difficulty, but consistently until teenage girls make it a hashtag is abusive bullshit. This band raked in millions and worked nonstop for five years. There was money for solid equipment. Harry’s branding was just sickening.
Liam had a drug and alcohol addiction bc he thought it would get him away from all the shit he was going thru. He still has a TERRIBLE management now. I’ve known this info for a while and every time I think about it, it gets to me. Like it’s so shocking and horrible that peoples brains can even think this is ok to do to these young boys. It’s hard not to be appropriative that they survived this long even if they were on the edge.

Niall's mic being cut off is just crap. He was the only member to play guitar, so he got Britney mic so his hands are free. Unfortunately, tech problems occur with such. He was never cut off. Niall got so tired of this bs story, he repeatedly went live on Instagram shooting it down as false. Last time was roughly 2 yrs ago. I love Jasmin, she's a beast and a legend in the fandom but she truly misled people based on pure emotion....zero research, zero fact....on this Niall's mic thingy. Louis always makes me cry. He has always been underrated. Even when he was the funniest people made him feel like he was boring. In his song, he literally says "nobody cares when you're boring". He makes great music, his songwriting is beautiful and has the best fans now but he's still criminally underrated. He was never aggressive, his sassy personality might make him seem aggressive but he's actually the sweetest. He's the kind of person who would even care for some random person you meet on the streets. If people say that he hates the fans, well Louies would like to differ. Louis and Louies are like bestfriends. They take group selfies like friends, they play with each other, they banter with each other, they even flip each other off. It's a signature thing between them. He even checks upon his fans often which not a lot of artists does. If louis was not there in one direction, their song lyrics wouldn't have been half as amazing. He wrote the most number of songs for one direction followed by liam and that person was made to feel useless, that's depressing. If this all is not enough, louis made an entire festival in London with free tickets for fans who can't afford and he said he would like to do it every year. This festival has been his dream since he was in one direction. When Louis was giving out tickets for his concert he chose smaller places afraid that it won't sell 😣

I think things might be happening in the back. I don't have much proofs, but the fact that Harry Styles became a brand and Liam's managment dropping him 'because his parties are out of control', say a lot. Maybe they're better than what they were in 1D, but they're still struggling
its actually so terrible, i love one direction but it was so damaging for them. (possible tw) harry has mentioned how simon caused him anxiety, liam has mentioned in an interview that if one direction didnt go on the hiatus it would have killed him, and during the band he developed alcoholism bc he turned to alcohol and getting drunk. zayn developed anorexia (an ED) and extreme anxiety. they werent allowed to sleep or eat a lot because they were always on tour, always making albums, always doing interviews. i cant imagine how draining that is. idk how someone could put them through that. it was crazy for all of the boys and i feel so bad. i hate simon and the management, so much.

I 100% do not like management at all, but when they “turned Niall’s mic off” they didn’t actually turn it off and Niall said it. It was technical difficulties and when Niall was ‘sad’ he was actually just sad earlier that day and his eyes were watering, im not going to say why or try to figure out why he was sad because I respect his privacy, anyway his eyes were watering but you can also see he was laughing/giggling with Louis. Nouis always finds a way to make something funny.

Your reaction over Niall and the mic situation is exactly how I felt about the situation. Niall is so freaking talented and his voice is actually so amazing, but management thought it wasn’t as good (probably because they didn’t give him enough opportunities to practice but I still think his voice was great). They would actually turn down Nialls mic every show and sometimes, like she pointed out in the video, they would cut it out completely. It was really sad to see him give his all and management not giving a shit about him. Second, Niall suffered a knee injury while in the band and management constantly made him have to postpone his surgery for tours. Niall was walking on a painful leg for MONTHS!! He would literally limp off stage after shows because it hurt so bad.
Another thing to mention is Liam and Zayns mental health. Liam was suicidal and almost killed him self from all the pressure he was experiencing and he developed a drinking and drug problem at 18 to cope with the stress. Zayn got severe depression and anxiety while in the band and actually developed an eating disorder. He was so thin and the media was constantly going after him, calling him gaunt or sickly and such. He also was having panic attacks right before performance and was still forced to go out there. They both just needed help and the management didn’t care.
And don’t even get me started on Larry cause there is so much management did to hurt them
Though I am so sad the band broke up, I am so happy they are out of that toxic environment. My hope is that one day they reunite on THEIR terms and manage themselves. They deserve to be happy 💚💙🇮🇪❤️💛

They were just boys who wanted to fulfill theirs dream.And then what made me really sad was when Louis said all these nice things about boys and hw tallented they are and then he said " and then there is me..." I feel that the branding is normal to an extent, but 1D management just went overboard with it. But I feel like Liam’s was the most harmful, in the sense that his branding ensured that he had the least fans and was the least likeable. As you said he was the buzz kill to his band mates and boring to their fans. When you think that their core fans were teenage girls, then you begin to realise why he wouldn’t get as many cheers as his band mates. Because what teenage fans go for ‘the responsible one’, they’d rather go for the ‘sexy one’, ‘the mysterious one’, ‘the sassy one’ or the ‘cheeky one’.
In the music industry everyone knows that sex sells, so as harmful as that branding might be to someone who’s underage and isn’t at all a womaniser… that branding wouldn’t hurt your bank.
But being classed as Mr Boring has no up side and it hurts your bank. Money isn’t everything, but if you want to be a successful musical artist you have to gain fans and make money. People wonder why Liam’s branding was drastically changed when he went solo, the ‘boring’ branding had to be expelled FULLSTOP. There’s no ifs or buts, his branding was aggressive, but I get it.

Hey Kahuna! I can watch you for literally hours, I love your content! This literally breaks my heart, I grew up watching and listening to these boys and they really helped me get through some not so great childhood times. But as I got older and realized the things that they had to go through, it once again broke my heart bc while they were aiding in giving me all these happy memories they were suffering at times in the band. They were just children too, 16-18 when the band started & they were overworked from the beginning, 5 albums in 5 years is not a normal thing, they literally would record/write their new album while still touring the latest one. Although I know the boys have said before that despite all that they did enjoy their time in 1D, I don’t think any of them would want to go back and I don’t blame them because I wouldn’t want them to either unless it’s all by their own terms. You should react to Louis’ song ‘Just Like You’ it was a release just for the fans, and in the music/lyric video if you pay attention to the news articles in the background there’s a lot that have to do with the industry. Seeing Niall confused and sad while he's singing and his mic is off, is so freaking sad. I mean, he's the most lovely guy in this world, he's a little irish man having fun with his friends and they did this to him. I really love him and is so so so sad. All the boys were living their dreams and the managment screwed up everything.
Also, they were touring everytime and they didn't sleep enough because they were recording the new album and touring at the same time (not EVERY time, but many times they were).

Hey Kahuna💜, You should read some of Louis’ tweets! 💙💙 He constantly tweets “Hope everybody’s ok!” and stuff and he’s always so kind to fans. He is super close to his fans and if you see him interact with fans it’s so sweet and he’s really a nice person. That said, he’s not scared to stand up for his fans. And we aren’t scared to stand up for him either.
This means we always have each others back. There’s like level of trust i think, and Louis always ALWAYS (!!) talks about how amazing we are and how dedicated we are and stuff. If you see his reaction to fans questions he’s always so genuine.
fans who have met him in person always say how he takes the time to really talk to them.
and at meet and greets he always hugs fans and makes sure they’re ok if they’re crying or anything.

On another note about Niall, there's this one really heartwarming video that disproves everything that their management thought about him and his contribution to the band. I don't know where it was, but they were singing Little Things and Niall's solo came on.. the screams were so fucking loud, they even drowned out his mic (which was on this time) and you can just see how he smiles in response to how loud the screams were and I'm just 😭😭😭😭😭

Hey kahuna, yeah it was all really messed up and there are no words to explain the sadness we feel when we talk about this. I saw someone the other day say "they gave up their childhood so that we could have ours" and I think that really hit me because that's what they did. I don't want them to come back if they're going to be with the same management either, they're happy now and thats all I want for them. They did their part for us now its time for us to do our part for them❤

im starting to watch this now. answering your question what would we do: absolutely nothing, except being there to support emotionally... as you all signed a contract and your kid will tell you that it is how it has to be. you support in the background as much as you can, but i believe that the contracts with these tv show deals are SO tight that there is no leeway for anyone to do whatever it is until the contract is done, unless you want your life destroyed (as it will have financial toll that you usually as a normal person cannot take on and also you know the artist's career is burnt down as the industry works on influences....)

That is so scary how they were pushed so hard and not protected when Harry was having attacks on stage and Zayn fainting, plus Niall’s knee surgery. If I was a parent I would have been extremely upset. Plus why did they allow Harry to get hit so much by objects to this day. They sexualization of Harry was also very abusive for the industry to allow Harry to go through in interviews. The gay rumors also of the boys being in relationships also was wrong when many photos were photoshopped to make it appear to be true. They said many times they are just good friends they spend so much time together away from friends and family. Very sad and dangerous.

Harry Styles has pursued girls since the age of 6. I swear to you that made me see red and I would've slapped management and broke their faces at the moment, it hurt so bad.
Niall's voice was cut off and he had to sing with Louis's mic. That fucking broke my heart. He's got such a sweet voice and he's so talented and kind. They all are. I was literally sorta screaming like, "If you don't like his voice management, why the hell would you keep him in the band? Let him have his own career and show his talents somewhere where he could do what he wanted."
And Louis... I don't know what to say he's such an amazing singer and I... Wtf man?? If management is such good singers, why didn't they try singing in the band?! Worthless people!
Liam couldn't wear stripes wtf! I mean... What kinda freaks are the audience that they would care about who wears stripes?! Freaking management! Still now, I feel Liam is so freaking underrated as a solo artist! I definitely hope people pick up on his talents more instead of other unnecessary stuff!
Zayn was a free personality I... In all these interviews, I was like, "Damn, I wish he would talk more sometimes he's so quiet." And Management was the reason???
And the whole thing with Larry? If they were in fact in love, why would management interfere? I mean, a lot of directioners shipped them so bad and still do, it hasn't stopped. If Larry were in fact in love then shame on management! Even if they weren't, then shame on them for trying to keep them apart!
Needed to get that off my chest. Feeling a lot better. But, I hope that if they ever reunite as a band they do it on their own terms. And if they don't ever reunite, I hope they'll always have a good relationship.

Niall’s mic not working once is a technical difficulty, but consistently until teenage girls make it a hashtag is abusive bullshit. This band raked in millions and worked nonstop for five years. There was money for solid equipment. Harry’s branding was just sickening.
Liam had a drug and alcohol addiction bc he thought it would get him away from all the shit he was going thru. He still has a TERRIBLE management now. They have to be with him everywhere to make sure he doesnt say anything he isnt supposed to be, they live NEXT DOOR TO HIM. They put him on drugs bc he didnt feel comfortable doing a nude photoshoot for hugo last year and forced him to do it. I feel so bad for him.

About the harry styles thing there was so much shit about how there was an article saying harry hooked up with 410 women in one year... They were on tour for like 7 months and some shows were literally back to back.
I’ve known this info for a while and every time I think about it, it gets to me. Like it’s so shocking and horrible that peoples brains can even think this is ok to do to these young boys. It’s hard not to be appropriative that they survived this long even if they were on the edge.

There's actually a video of where, I don't quite remeber who was crying I think it was louis, he was crying and when harry try to give a hug one of their managers just showed him to give him a hand shake, and that's what harry did. And it's honestly heart breaking
this doesn't even cover half of it... it gets so much worse, being locked up in hotel rooms, eating disorders, alcoholism, overworking them, anxiety disorders, knee problems bc he wasnt allowed to get surgery, closeting, the list goes on and on
