    I'm not sure there's prettier views anywhere. Amazing scenery, especially to someone who is from west Texas, where it's flat, dry desert. Although, during this entire flight, I didn't see a single cactus or tumbleweed. So, I guess we do have some things not found anywhere else ! Great video guys !

    Another fantastic adventure for us flat landers. I sent a few pics of it to a friend in florida that is without power. Entertainment while they cook in the steam with elevations of 30 feet! Well that is a mountain there. Thanks for the beautiful shots and bit of education on flying. Music was great. I am not a fan of motor noise unless very subdued in background. You have a great microphone. Wish the camera was outside the bubble for better clarity. Maybe you can get that quartz glass like the one they used on the SR71 that used a telescope to search for stars before gps. Not sure if that would cost less than a few helicopters. Thanks for sharing these routine outings for us in the flatlands.

    Beautiful scenery and camera work. I have spent a lot of time in similar places in the Coast Mountains, both hiking and backpacking, as well as doing various heli supported work.
    One of the things I have done a fair bit of is flying Mountain Goat Winter Ranges, looking at habitat values and for the presence or absence of animals, so my eyes are well tuned to spotting them and I know what type of terrain they prefer. When you are discussing looking for goats in an area you had seen them previously, I believe you flew by a nanny and at least one kid on a grass/rock ridge. Look at 12:30 at top of windscreen, right hand side, about 1 o'clock high. That creamy yellowish white colour always draws my eye.
    Looking forward to further videos.

      Thanks. Funny that the reason that I watched the video is I thought that you would be looking for a missing Jet Ranger or an old wreck, then the flying, the alpine scenery, and the camera work kept me watching. Then the goats!
      Now subscribed.

    Great video I am not sure the constant music adds anything...Being a helicopter fan personally I would prefer just your talkback and Helicopter engine noise.. I don't mind a bit of music as you have done before..... Very enjoyable viewing guys

      Yah, I concur about the music. I love these vids, but music -- *especially with vocals* -- is a distraction. Give me the intercom and radio chatter and heli noises (especially if you get an R66 ;^) ) over music any day.

      I have to agree. The music is cheesy, but the narration and photography is great.

    Hey Mischa, I like your videos, beautiful country but I was just curious how quickly do you think you could hand back on that collective in a low rotor RPM situation with a low hour student (or any student for that mater), especially in the Robinson?

      That's one thing we warn all the fixed wing student pilots, get your private, instrument and commercial in fixed wing, (used to be cheaper) , then transition to rotary wing and it's done, but once you start landing in your own backyard, and the minimart parking lot for a lunch snack, you'll Never go back to fixed wing. 😁

    Can a student of 10 grade be a private pilot in your country? ??

    • @PilotYellow
      @PilotYellow  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can get a student pilot permit at the age of 16 and fly solo but from what I remember you have to be 18 to get a private license and 19 for commercial.

    • @timmorris3056
      @timmorris3056 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Absolutely start as soon as possible!!! I started flying in 1980 at 14, building hours in a 152 cessna popcan, my group of friends all flew radio control planes at a nearby private airstrip with houses owned by airlines pilots. One day we were flying our planes and a pilot and his daughter walked out and said, she just got her instructor permit, and we're going to lease a 152, are you interested to learn,.......Uh...YESSSSSS!!! So 5 of us kept her busy for the next year getting our hours in and just waiting to turn 16 for our solo certs. Don't put off till tomorrow what you can tackle today, and NEVER let Anyone steal your dreams!!!
      👍😁👍

    Okay...I think it's been twice now I've noticed you mention you're only at 20% power with the turbojet(?)...Unlike a piston that must be at approximately 100% power...please explain in a video this difference if you could.

    • @agcopta9633
      @agcopta9633 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jon Doe the Robinson R44 that they are flying is piston powered. There power is measured in inches of murcury . They were pulling 20 inches of power not 20% power. Depending on weight and altitude and lots of other things that need to be worked out they could pull roughly 24 inches. I hope this helps.
