Well imo for special it's not the best because its not quick enough but for far away target its very good and for monsters its a killing machine with famished flames.
With Famished Flames: The right click shotgun blast is good for controlling hordes The left click beam is very good at melting monsters - it deals strong DoTs repeatedly and they stack without limit. It's not dedicated boss killer territory (think Shade, Engi, Huntsman, Bounty Hunter turning monsters into comedy acts) but after those one of the best ways to kill a monster in the game. One bar of heat does ~1800dmg or so, if memory serves. The burst from breaking the beam is mediocre at handling specials, but has the advantage of pinpoint accuracy and infinite range. With Lingering Flames: The right click shotgun is godlike at controlling and deleting hordes The left click beam applies the strongest or second-strongest DoT Sienna's staves have if you manage to keep it on target for a while, which does great damage to monsters. It won't kill one especially fast, but typically drains about half a monster's health over their normal lifetime and leaves you free to do something else in the meantime. The Stormfiend in this run would've died to Lingering Flames long before it died here. The burst operates pretty much the same, but you can tick the DoT a bit, burst and leave the special to die. Convenient sometimes. In both cases the burst (if you do quick ticks, ie. engage beam, burst, engage beam, burst) needs 2-3 hits to kill a special. Holding the beam for a bit as Zigo does works well too, with both Flames talents. The main thing about the Beam staff is that it's not especially amazing at anything except close range horde control, but it does everything at least reasonably. eg. my Beam Staff with no 10th level talent does 10.25dmg direct and a 5.5dmg DoT tick = 15.75 to dummy With Famished 8.75 + 10.75 = 19.5dmg With Lingering 10.25 + rapid 5.5dmg DoT ticks that rack up to 20+dmg fast.
@@Zigodu13 I also think that there is a chance for a special frame for beta testers just like that one given to winds of magic beta testers It's worth trying to get a chance Just think about that prestige hehe

This session is a record for the number of seemingly hopeless situations
I was happy to have the ulti of the battle wizard that day x)
Is beam stuff a good choice for bosses and specials? Trying to find how to use it and still struggling

@@Zigodu13 thanks. I'm really struggling with finding a good stuff for her. They always feel wrong for me(

used have an easier time if you used the other white health trait
I do hope for some versus gameplay if you get the opportunity to play beta ( ;
i signed up from 4 different accounts when an alpha showed up hahah
Well, i'm not that interested in the pvp aspect of Vermintide so i don't think i will play it during the beta. 😞
@@Zigodu13 you can always play some duo with somebody who'll be playing as Kerillian and then you can start shooting him
That'll do as well ( ;
