The pitman arm is different between the 6 and V8. It looks like your brother already swapped it to the V8 pitman arm. At around the 3:00 mark you lean your hand on the curved V8 pitman arm. The 6 cylinder arm is straight.
FWIW, the 67 V8 Firebird also has a fuel return line. The Camaro didn't have it to the best of my knowledge though.
    Enjoying your progress! 😃

Thank you sir, yep got the right pitman arm, and yep two fuel lines running to the front. I appreciate you sharing the tips!

There is a difference between 6 and 8 cyl steer linkage by part number but no need to change it if running a v8. The 6 cyl oil pan would not clear with the v8 linkage because it sits further back. The camaro steer linkage is similar to Pontiac 6cyl. I had to swap to camaro steer linkage to clear my oil pan on my LS swapped bird. Let the hate mail begin. LOL. Keep up the good work. Keep them birds alive brother!!

Looking at the pitman arm, it looks "newer" than the tierods and the idler arm, assuming he swapped that out some 25years ago.

Looking good! Is that a vacuum can on the firewall?

Yes it is, didn't have any lines hooked up to it. Someone said it goes to the factory A/C system, not 100% sure.

I’ve seen many subframes on those removed much quicker and easier. On a bridge abutment or large oak tree.

you could have wire wheeled it if you didn't have a sand blaster.
