I genuinely believe if her label didn’t treat her like an indie artist then she would be way bigger than she already is. Feel Me could’ve easily been a number one especially during her on and off with Justin.
I don‘t think they treat her like an indie artist. I watched her My mind and me documentary and the CEO of the label literally watched her rehearse and when she was sad and cried he tried to console her. There‘s no way in hell the CEO of a huge record label like Interscope will attend your concert if you‘re an indie artist, let alone watch you rehearse.
Selena Gomez knows how to write, she knows how to play with her voice and she has a lot of influences I can't put her in a "box". Feel Me was part of Revival (her previous album that fans begged her to release) but yes you should definitely check more about her. She is very big (like one of the main pop stars) but Rare was an underrated album. She went through a lot in the public eye but she's very private about her life.
Rare as an album was definitely a grower for me, her album revival tho was an instant love! I think the problem for me was I absolutely adored the songs in between (back to you, fetish bad liar etc.) And was slightly disappointed when I first heard the way the album went. Listening now I can appreciate this as an album, it has some wonderful songs, but it's still not my favourite of hers
Love that you are checking Selena out! I think Revival and her droplets (wolves, fetish, bad liar, back to you, it ain't me, taki taki, I can’t get enough) are a peak from her! Since she deals with anxiety and lupus she struggles with confidence and live performances (especially after her kidney transplant) but I don’t think it’s bad! Also she said herself that she just continued to make music for her fans and she likes her voice more when she sings spanish (you should check out her EP). Also she is doing music since her Disney days :)
you need to listen to revival, it’s so good!! and in my opinion it’s much better than rare and i do like rare. also, she has 6 albums and 1 spanish ep. her first 3 albums tho are listed under “selena gomez & the scene” bc it was the band she had during her disney days. those first 3 albums (the first 2 especially) are very disney sounding and teen pop but i think you would really like the third one, when the sun goes down, bc it’s more mature and aged well imo
You MUST react to her droplets, she had few of her best songs released in thay era: 1. Fetish ft Gucci Mane 2. Bad Liar 3. It ain't me (w Kygo) 4. Trust Nobody 5. Wolves 6. Back to you 7. Only You
First off, welcome back to creating content with the new house and setup! Now for the fun part! Can’t wait to hear your insights and thoughts on this entire album bro! A top tier and underrated album for 2020🔥
Thanks for doing this! lose you to love me was #1 so that’s why you heard it. I think with revival (her album before this one) you’ll recognize a lot more. She has several hits from 2015-2017!
Knowing that the song is about, and then also being diagnosed with lupus, it really hits hard. Knowing you could have a serious issue any minute and be hospitalized or die is scary. All you hope for is a sweeter place.
The way I know your going to love this before I even start. Selena is the sweetest. Watch her cooking show Selena + Chef. I'm guessing you adore Vulnerable and Lose You To Love Me. I adore the title song Rare. It makes me feel amazing.
okay i have to say it 😂 i hope you read this She wrote the song “feel me” back in 2015 while she was on her revival tour, when she was still on and off with her ex (very toxic relationship indeed) she’s much more matured now 😌 the fans wanted her to officially release it and she did :) i love your honest opinion btw, tysm 🙏
the droplets era was one of my favorites, personally rank so much higher than this album, you should listen. fetish is literally top 10 songs of that year
Please react to “Feel Me” live on the Revival tour (the one where she’s wearing the white dress. hits deferent). Such a strong and emotional performance!!!
If you're looking for more vocals from Selena, u should REALLY react to her album before Rare, "Revival (Deluxe)", and after that, check in on her performance from one of those songs called "Sober", and her performing "Feel Me" (yeah she wrote back in Revival era). Maybe you can get a surprise from her vocals live, this performance in particular is a MASTERPIECE. Also, her last drop, til now, is her EP Revelación, and she've done a greeeeat job, is incredible, her voice in spanish are on another level (her dad is mexican, and all his side of family, so yes, selena is half latina although she is from Texas, but she couldn't explore further her heritage when she was a child, her parents are divorced and she lives with her american mother)
I'm surprised you know a lot about Justin's music and didn't knew Selena and him dated for years and that she's also a singer, Justin has 3 albums about her 😂 anyway, lose you to love me is about justin and souvenir is about the weeknd
Damn, Let Me Get Me might not be my top favorite, but is my most listened to on that album. It got me through some tough times, while prompting some dancing. I love it and have so much gratitude for it's existence! I LOVE your reactions!! Also, please react to her Revival album!
her and kid cudi are good friends i think they kinda just wanted to make a track together just for themselves which i feel like is why it’s the way it is
This album was one of her best works yet. Growing up with her and seeing everything this women has been through and seeing where she is now is truly inspiring. She has always and will always be a queen♥️
Stop saying this album is underrated, it went #1 and a lot of people has listened to it, I listening to it everyday. It was just an personal album for her that explain the lack of promotion
The point of "fun" was simply for it to be a fun song. I believe this was one of the last songs written for the album, and when she went to the studio she just didn't feel like talking about anything she was going through anymore and she felt like she'd already done everything, she'd said everything she wanted to say and she just wanted to do something fun. So that's the context of the song and why it is in the album. :)
Let me get me is actually one of my favourite songs on the album, especially lyrically, i can definitely relate to it. A Sweeter Place hit to me different when i realized that she's maybe talking about her near death experience with lupus and her kidney transplant, "heaven is near having no fear", it all gives me that kind of darker vibe. Kinda crazy is cute and sassy, I don't love it, I don't hate it, but Fun is the worst by far, it shouldn't be on the album or it shouldn't even be released. I kinda like it, lyrically, in some parts, but it just ain't it. Rare for me was a grower, it's interesting and I do really like some of its remixes.
I loved the new arrangement of the deluxe album because the original was quite different and the rearrangement just made it feel like a whole new vibe idky but it just did
Vulnerable is hands down the best song Selena Gomez has ever recorded I had that on repeat for months, stunning vocals on this album from a woman who is underrated and stunning in every sense
I love Selena so much and so happy that this ended up in my recommended. I saw your videos for the first time with the Olivia Rodrigo reactions whom I also really love.
I have yet to watch "Only Murders in the Building" on Hulu but I heard good things about it. I finished watching both seasons of Selena + Chef and it's so wholesome! I've bought her RARE beauty make-up. Selena has always stayed relevant. I saw her when I volunteered for WE Day in LA. I wish I had met her, it would be such a dream to!
I feel like the general construction of the album was better in the standard version, the order of the songs made more sense, specially if you understand who she's singing about. The deluxe version doesn't tell me much of a history, although I love the songs that were incorporated in the deluxe album
I would recommend listening to it ain't me, bad liar, fetish, wolves, and back to you (all of them were singles that she released during her 5-year album gap while going through a lot of mental/health things) which were all part of this album's Target cd before listening to Revival if you want the backwards evolution feel
Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez were together for 7 yr I think they broke up and then they got back together and they broke up again in 2018 from what I know and after two months of the breakup Justin proposed to hailey and got married, so most of the songs is about Justin Bieber, also if you heard Justin Bieber‘s album Purpose most of the songs are about selena… Justin and Selena both moved on now and they seem happy

I think she just need someone to guide her vocals more... like, she has some REALLY pretty low range as we see in cut you off, so we need more of it, also the falsettos are great, u don't need belting to be good, just explore what u have from deep chest to head u know? I love her songs btw
Yes Selena Gomez is definitely one of the most influential people today and also one of the most followed women on insta coming after kylie jenner and Ariana grande
you should react to her live acoustic rare performance!! i know you don’t really like rare, but i think you’ll really love her authentic and raw vocal delivery in that!!
This is truly one of my favorite albums ever. It makes me feel things! She is so underrated as a singer because she usually just duets with big artist. I love her.
Selena really knows how to show her emotions when she sings, the message she shares it’s just amazing! Would love if you reacted to her previous work too such as Revival, the droplets era (fetish, bad liar, etc) and her most recent ep called Revelación!
Honestly you're probably my new favorite person to listen to react to thing, the way you explain your thoughts and feelings is just so interesting and i just found myself really caring and listening to what you have to put on the table keep doing you man!
Selena made feel me in 2016, that's why feel me sounds kind different like it's more edm than the other songs, the fans were obsessed when she performed this song on the revival tour in 2016 and we asked her to release the studio version for years!! And than she did it! She said it was a gift to the fans, feel me is only in the deluxe version
This album went #1 and everything but i stilk think is underrated. The LYRICS and Production are everything
the album has done good, some singles pretty decent but lose you to love me was huge.
Absolutely agree
you said it all!! her talent unfortunately is not as recognizing as it should at all, and i’m not even a stan

I love feel me as well but I enjoyed more that one pulled from the revival tour than the one they released in rare
It just hit me...first time listening means that Michael has never heard the cultural reset that "Come & Get It" is...

hoping on you reatcing to her documentary My Mind & Me! think you'll indentify with her so much, and get to know her better personally 🙏🏻
To understand lose you to love me, you need to react to the first part of this song: the heart wants what it wants, that song is so deep 😍😍
you should react to her live acoustic rare performance!! i know you don’t really like rare, but i think you’ll really love her authentic and raw vocal delivery in that!!
"This is so upbeat and dancy but then again, this is pretty toxic." AHHAHAH, I honestly cackled
What's song is he taking about??
I missed that part of the vídeo
@@pacoaltamirano1544 feel me
The revival album and the singles released after are her best work
So excited for this video... also, love the setup
This is truly one of my favorite albums ever. It makes me feel things! She is so underrated as a singer because she usually just duets with big artist. I love her.
I love how Vulnerable always gets people especially that pre-chorus.
Tu reacción y la forma en la que entendiste las letras y ritmos me hizo amar mas este álbum de Selena, ya me encantaba pero ahora me fascina el triple
unpopular opinion: Sweeter Place is the best song on this album, iykyk.
One of my favorite albums from selena Gomez I really enjoyed your review on it u went so in-depth into the songs I loved it
I honestly think you’ll love her revival album!
Hey I really really appreciate you taking the time to be so kind & express yourself. Lots of love to you
Selena made feel me in 2016, that's why feel me sounds kind different like it's more edm than the other songs, the fans were obsessed when she performed this song on the revival tour in 2016 and we asked her to release the studio version for years!! And than she did it! She said it was a gift to the fans, feel me is only in the deluxe version
