In Chicago 2018, seeing king gizz, Amy walked up to me and said “ya cunts got any weed?!” (I was with a group) and it was hilarious. I love these people and their music
You guys are young as “F”! You rock kiddos, love your songs, classic punk rock.. Ii was born 7/7/71. I found punk at the big O skate park in orange when I was 6
I'ma gank "froth (enter thing that I find exceptionally rad here) HARD!" Cool? Can one say "froth 'for' them hard"? Or is it just "epic frothage" "I'm hardcore frothing this cheeseburger and this bitch beer"? If you want to do a slang-trade: Aussie for my own spectacular vernacular, hit me up on insta, same name.
Good onya cun+$ for showcasing mostly local talent in your selected content. Youre doing us Aussie's proud by kicking ass overseas. I'll definitely be seeing you perform whenever you visit Adelaide next opportunity.
Powder Monkeys and Cosmic Psychos. great selection. I still have a cassette of the Cosmics live from the desk at POW. Nothing like live Cosmic Psychos. Well done to these guys
Thanks guys for making me discover Nasho and Low Life. I love 90's aussie punk/alt rock like the Hard-Ons, One Inch Punch, or swampy noise-rock like Lubricated Goat/King Snake Roost, and also a lot of more recent stuff, so many great bands in Australia ❤🇭🇲
Always been curious of bands from Australia, especially because been watching a lot of movies from there and they have just been insane. Violence and originality. So this is absolutely perfect and needed and appreciated 👏🏽 🤘🏾
Amyl enjoys to read comics written by Garth Ennis!! How amazing is that?? Preacher and Hellblazer are masterpieces filled with many references to punk and post punk culture.
These guys (and gal) are AMAZING both on and off stage, got to meet them on the 2018 king gizz tour when I met the boys in a random bar after a show, great personalities
They've been called our Eagles by a few music experts. They're usually not included in the genre "Australian Pub Rock", more "easy listening". Great band for a few beers in the afternoon though. If you want to rock, check out The Angels and Rose Tattoo, and throw in some Skyhooks for something a bit different.
@@petercooney2597 It's not just me, they didn't even make it into the books about Australian Pub Rock. To quote one book, they were "the Australian Eagles". Listen to some other bands at the time like Rose Tattoo or The Angels, you'll see what I mean.
@@Dave-Rough-Diamond-Dunn Dude, anyone who compares the Eagles with Chisel needs to get their meds adjusted. Just because Chisel became an arena band doesn't erase the beginning and larger part of their career as a pub rock band. I saw them many times in pubs. I also saw the Angels and Rose Tattoo.
@@petercooney2597 To me, Cold Chisel are a band to listen to on a lazy Sunday afternoon over a few beers. That's what I mean by easy listening, you'd do the same with The Eagles or Creedence, whereas Rose Tattoo play hard hitting, driving rock music for a crazy Saturday night, something to thrash out to. Chisel are definitely on the soft side of rock n roll.
Wow - never heard of LOW LIFE. Would they get lumped in with Total Control and Blank Realm? That was such an awesome moment in time for Australian music.
Damn these dudes are cool... make me proud to be an Aussie! And sick collections too, gotta say I related to Gus's albums mostly but had faves in all of their stashes to be honest. Cheers guys, loved it!
4:19,holy crap,I recently moved to Melbourne Florida, yet lived in Melbourne AUS a couple years(Coburg and Carlton).Wonder if it's some kind of synchronicity.
It's hyperweird to hear an album that blew up when I was 11/12, that I totally hated at the time (because I was a snotty little metal noob who made it my mission to mercilessly shit upon everything the normies held dear. Yeah, I was pretty intolerable) be referred to as "a total classic." All the shit that was huge when I was a kid is now being played on classic rock radio stations, however, so that's hard to process in the ol meat computer. One cool thing is, you're always going to be the same *you* inside your head, heart, and soul that you always were, even as a little kid. That stupid fucking mirror just starts to betray and terrify you. You'll be in your late 30's and be like, "WAIT!!!! I'M NOT OLD YET!! IM NOT READY FOR ADULTINESS!!! AND *YOU*, MIRROR? YOU CAN JUST FUCK RIGHT OFF!!!!"

Too bad not Oregon, I usually have a few pocket cookies, especially at shows.
I mean, ya gotta have a pocket cookie - everyone needs a pocket cookie.
"And you were like No I have Mary Jane's husband Gene"... Oh wait that's the first record. Cool story, Rusk. I believe you..............
These kids have hysterically cool tastes in music. New hope for the wretched.
God bless Wendy O. Williams!
IT was nice to see they had some mainstream Oz music like Cold Chisel and Powderfinger in there too. Shows they are not pretentious.
I really like this band, and half the stuff they have,i don't know. So,i have a lot to research. And they love COSMIC PSYCHOS!
Hellzzzzz ya.....Love Cosmic Psychos 🤘
