Ayo. I made a cameo! One thing to note is that we’re definitely close to see Pre-Alpha Tranzit pretty soon, as builds of multiple Tranzits do exist. I heard from DiabloDevKit that they allegedly have the build with the early development version of Tranzit. They are actively working on getting the map working well enough to load the build by patching it up ASAP, as these builds are in broken state. So they exist, but the builds are in a broken state, so they’re definitely in the patching process. I vaguely remember people being hyped up on the early Tranzit stuff before that became off the radar because ATVI went after Prototype Preservation (who’s Riley541 btw) because he was leaking a bit too much (with that BO4 Pre-Alpha stuff).
Who is DiabloDevKit and is there a Discord server or some place where I can follow the technical discussion about the patching? Would be interesting to see as I used to be a modder.
I’ve heard that Shangri-La in DLC 5 is actually the most broken and unplayable map in the leak because a lot of stuff for it is either unfinished or very early suggesting it was probably one of the last maps Treyarch worked on for DLC 5 before it got cancelled
After reading some of the comments, I think u are definitely right, apparently if you tried to leave spawn it would completely break and was most likely one of the last maps they worked on, which is kinda weird considering Moon is very playable and that DLC came after Shang in BO1 so who knows

The best part is that the BO2 DLC 5 backstory of how obscured how they got the maps ported in BO2: Treyarch did had that fascination of wanting to release big Zombies maps (even back with the canned WAW DLC 4), which isn’t a new concept as Rezzurection exists for it, but they felt they like the idea of wanting to bring over old maps into newer entries. However, given there were whispers by the hidden doors, judging by the BO2Z Build, apparently what’s crazy is that they managed to recompile all the maps and finish them around Jan/Feb, as BO1 & BO2 are very close (consider that BO2 was built off form BO1). It wasn’t complete fully but they were mostly finished. All the DLC 5 maps were in playable state (including the EEs) and all they had to take care were the server side of things to polish up the online portion (Theater Mode, Spectator, Join in, etc.) The only reason BO2 Chronicles was scrapped was due to ATVI not wanting BO2 Chronicles to mess up Ghosts’ release. So it’s safe to say that Treyarch did gave it a wait and would be perfect to release it on BO3. ATVI didn’t really mind them to release Zombies Chronicles in BO3, after when Infinite Warfare was received negatively at the time.
From what I heard, The Panzer spawning on Round 6 was just a test because he spawns almost every round. Also yes Call of the Dead isn't in the map pack due to licensing
Licensing for what? I feel like they would have used Dempsey and gang on that map. Considering those characters were technically on COTD. might have been a fun twist on the map.
@@knowtheplan472 Probably why BO3 Mob of the Dead (which was planned for Zombies Chronicles originally) became Blood of the Dead in BO4. I'd imagine being hard to get the Mob celebs back, hence they got namedrops and Weasel being the Seagull.

The Buried early build looks exactly like one of those half-baked World at War custom maps that try to remake an already existing map. Like it's a fake imposter of Buried. Very unsettling.
Would've gotten more Victis maps, had Tranzit & Die Rise been successful and Blundell's team would've worked on the next COD Campaign (BO3) while assisting Jimmy Z's team on the Zombies portion. The Aether story would've been in a different direction, had Blundell or Jimmy had creative decisions with Craig. There were 3 scrapped Victis Maps, two in the planning stage but were cut as Mob & Origins took the slots when Blundell's team was getting their shot at Zombies while the other map was reworked into Buried.
I'm more surprised you didn't bring up the PlayTheGameCentral Maxis face in the Origins loading screen pre alpha. That face has some incredibly strange history behind it and way back in the day was thought to either literally be Dr Maxis at that time in the story or some kind of PTG meme. It's inclusion in the pre-alpha render is just as hilarious as it is earth shattering for lore heads.
Makes me believe that Benn had friends working at Treyarch, so he wanted to put cryptic strings on his behalf on the leaks ahead and people thought he was BS-ing until Origins was revealed.

It likely won’t happen, but even though BO3 DLC 5 exists I still hope BO2’s DLC 5 gets developed and sees a future release. Edit: 11:42 I think that if DLC 5 was going to contain maps from WAW And BO1, DLC 5 was going to depict versions of these maps that take place after the Earth was blown up by Maxis.
Something i don't see anyone mentioning is that the way the staff's look in the pre alpha footage are actually in the base game (well kinda) if you look at the staff icon's in bo2 you can see that version of the pre alpha footage staff's and I'm kinda confused as to why they didn't change the icon and i hope I'm not the only one who noticed this.
Its vary interesting seeing this because they vary much look like world at war maps. And that minda proves from how waw was made 5 years ago from bo2 and the jump from all 3 games has not changed in terms of waw details to alphas. Just kinda shows at this point in time they really where just adding stuff onto stuff to make then two separate games.

I don’t see people actually trying to upgrade the staffs, if you watch the footage there’s the things to upgrade in the pre alpha crazy place, maybe the upgrade steps was little bit different??

Shang was included, but you can't buy the doors leading out of spawn without the game crashing. I think Dalek uploaded some footage of him no clipping around tho if you wanna check it out

The village was removed due to console memory limitations I believe. Jason Bundell mentions it in his interview on the Zombros podcast
that was the reason BO3 didnt have a full port, not the village being removed.

I swear the pre-alpha origins build is way more difficult than release. I am a self proclaimed zombies god but this version of BO2 humbles me.

Mob of the dead pre-alpha was recently revealed. Looks like Blood of the dead was more accurate to Mob than we thought
