- In this video, we explore the neighborhood and commercial area of Tesoro in Medellin in the area of Poblado. For me, this is one of the nicest and safest areas to live with a plethora of commercial and recreational areas that put this on the top three of my places that I would recommend for people who are thinking of purchasing a property in Marín in the area specifically of Poblado. Depending on where you purchase in this area, there are many apartments with incredible views of the city but as you you’ll see in this video, one of the best features is that the area has three major shopping malls or plaza all on one street. With Amsterdam Plaza and mall Tesoro you have 100s of restaurants and grocery stores and major clothing chains like H&M and Zara. at ExpatCrib we are all about helping you find your happy place abroad visit our website at the link below to discover some beautiful listings in the city of Medellin and other locations near by, as well as discovering new places abroad worthy of relocating to.

Hello, new Subscriber, I loved this video, wow Medellin is amazing we Paisa people don't realize how beautiful is Medellin, foreigners know it better. I'm so proud of my beloved Special District of science, technology and innovation of Medellin . Where everyone is Welcome no matter nationalities .❤❤
Welcome to the channel! Glad you enjoyed the tour of the Tesoro neighborhood I am sure you know it well. You are correct Medellin is a very progressive city. I have lived there off of the last 15 years so I’ve seen so much progress.
Brother I’ve been watching Medellin content for years and I’ve actually cancelled 2 trips to Medellin because of negative content on TH-cam, I’m thankful I stumbled on your channel, your video definitely gives off a completely different vibe 🙏
Thanks for the kind words. Yes if you know how to live in the city properly, there’s some amazing places and as long as you’re not doing negative things in the city you’re going to be OK. It has so many good features and good people. You should definitely come to the city and enjoy your time here as long as you take precautions they’re gonna be just fine. Common sense goes a long ways here unfortunately with a lot of foreigners that come here common sense and so common. But book that trip and get down here if you need any tips, contact me through the website. ;)
I just came from Medellin and it was amazing there’s a lot of misconceptions about Colombia but is all about how you act over there, there’s a lot of nice places a lot of tourism and I stay with natives of Medellin and they where absolutely so wonderful I would tell you just go experience for yourself.
@ Thank you for your wise words and you are correct. There’s many misconceptions about Medellin. I have lived in the city for 15 years and if you associate with the good people from the city or from the other countries that come to visit, you’re generally going to be safe.
Wow thank you man! I live in California USA.....im Mexican American but for some reason Colombia is pulling my attention so much! Seems like paradise for single men! I get more energy watching these videos

The Exito reminds me of Superstore
Are you Canadian like me? Thanks for the comment.
@ yes from Vancouver Island. I have a girlfriend in Cucuta.
Another great video, thanks Expatcrib. I didn’t find the link to the penthouse you mentioned. 🤔

Is tesoro a walkable area or do you need a car? To be more specific, is it normal for residents (not just workers) to walk in the area to go to grocery stores, coffee shops, etc. (like Laureles)?
So if you live off of Transversal Superior it’s very walkable as the two places I featured in this video, Amsterdam Plaza and Mall Tesoro are on the same road. But if you live further up the hill you may need a car. In this video the road that I walked on is on the plane with no incline so if you live one block up or one block down, it’s highly walkable, but as I stated earlier, you need a car if you’re further up the hill, or as many experts do in this area they just use Uber.
Do you only do high end gringo prices or do you know of some non furnished better priced units in either Poblado or Envigado or even El Retiro specifically Fizebad. We are moving in June but the properties you show are out of our price range.
In one of our videos we showed the cheapest and the most expensive to give a price range. Are you looking to rent or to purchase we can help you if you contact us with what you’re looking for at expatcrib.com/contact.
@@expatcrib Rent long term eventually buy. I think it's better to rent for a year then when you know all the areas move and buy. I definitely will write you there.

👏👏👏👏 👍
$19.90 for a combo at McDonalds? Even as overpriced as the US is, it's still only about $12 here. Are prices for food and retail inflated in Medellin?
In certain areas, yes, but there are other areas outside of Poblado where things are still cheap. There’s also a store here called D1 that’s in every part of the city and things there are cheap. So if you get outside of the tour zone here, the prices are better on food.
