    Thumbs up. By far the most simple and informative “how to” for pop and air for beginners. I was always coming into so bent and torqued and that line tension was bad. Hopefully this summer I’ll get it figured out !

    Love your instruction and I'm always absorbing the wake when trying to jump lol. I think its more mental than anything. Thanks for the tips !!!

    Thank you for this video. Been having a hard time crossing the wake :-/ and yes, my knees have been bent.

      For sure! That knee bend is a tough habit to break, but allows you to get pop off the wake rather than absorbing the wake with your knees. You'll get it!

    Hey Kirby I am new to wakeboarding and can get up and cruise along good but I had bad experience. I went down on my stomach and could not get on my back and the waves were horrible I thought I'm going to drown. Any tricks to getting rolled over. Yes beginner problems. Lol

    Hi Kirby, It's been a while but I started wakeboarding about 2 yrs ago and getting comfortable learning to jump. Should I use full length rope or shorten it up some to get more of the prop wake? Thank you.

    What is a good speed for wakeboarding??

    I've gotten almost all the way over the wake, how would you set up a G23 for getting all the way?(speed, line length, NCRS point, ballast settings)

    Kirby, How long is the rope in this video? I was boarding yesterday with a 60ft and it seemed so far away from the boat and the wake was pretty washed out that far back. The only way to get it firm was to go faster like about 28-30 which is pretty fast for my skill. Ive been trying to 360 and have only landed once.

    my boat isn't a sporting tow boat just an open bow rider the tow hook is back by the engine, will not having the hook up high affect my jumps?

    • @kirbylliesmann
      @kirbylliesmann  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Nathan, I'm sorry I'm just now seeing this. The tower definitely helps with wake-to-wake jumps and more advanced tricks where the lower tow hook creates a downward pull and makes things a lot harder.

    Hi so I'm learning to jump wake to wake I'm bending my knee but everytime I try pop back up it's not doing anything should I be laying back when I push up or what

    Kirby, when doing wake to wake jumps do I want a wake that is more ramp or more vertical.

    • @kirbylliesmann
      @kirbylliesmann  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ben Vidovich You'll want a wake that is more ramp for wake-to-wake jumps. Blessed riding bro!

    So if I'm getting yanked forward when I jump what am I doing wrong??

    • @kirbylliesmann
      @kirbylliesmann  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Levi, try to not lean so hard against the rope on your approach. Happy shredding!

    How fast you go by that 2 jump

    • @kirbylliesmann
      @kirbylliesmann  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      maxime gabriels Hey, for a one way heeled jump the speed to learn on will depend on the type of boat. It will be between 16-19. For wake to wake it will be 19-22 depending on what rope length. Hope this helps. Be blessed bro!
