  • Jumping wake to wake is what most wakeboarders do as soon as they learn to get up but it can be risky for most beginners. Sure, you can just huck and hope, but I really suggest that you take the time to not only watch all the videos before this one, but actually learn the techniques so this makes sense. Wakeboarding is a different sport than most people think and when you learn this, it can become such a more enjoyable experience. Either way, enjoy your ride!

    This video has helped me more than any other so far! I'm a casual rider. Can only make it to the lake every other weekend and maybe get 30 minutes of ride time each trip. But since I've been watching your videos my progression as a rider has improved 10 fold! You sir....are a God send!

      Great to hear. That’s the reason we put it together in the first place.

    Thanks for all your videos and keeping wakeboarding alive. Wakeboarding and working on my old X2 are my two favorite things to do in life.

    As a pilot I can confirm landing takes more finesse then takeoff still working on my wakeboard landings tho

    When can land my toe side fine, but my heel side is much harder to land any tips

    • @Shaun.Murray
      @Shaun.Murray  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Just to be sure, you're having trouble w heelside jumps? To have Toeside and not heelside is quite the opposite of most people but about 1 out of 100 can do toeside better than heelside at first. Either way, check this video out and see if it helps your overall understanding...

    Hey Shaun , when i get outside of the wake and try to cut back to cross over the wake there is such a dead spot and slack in the line i dont get any pull from the rope til im about 2 feet from the wake . This is about 18 -20 mph , rope is 65 feet behind a yamaha jet boat with a tower...ive tried short approach from 5 feet out of wake to way outside of the wake , this is both on toeside and heelside approaches and still same result...and i dont make my turn like Wally does either

      @sek5570 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You have to cut out, surf for a second or two, and let the physics slowly start pulling you in (you feel when the rope gets tighter it will start pulling you back, when you feel this you can increase your edging until and through the wake.

    Hey. How much do the rope placement on the boat do? Mounting it up high on a targa rail, vs down on the boat.?

    • @Shaun.Murray
      @Shaun.Murray  ปีที่แล้ว

      Tie'n high isn't necessary but can def help in not feeling pulled down. Allows beginners to learn to get up with less effort bc of the upward pull. Allows people getting into the air a bit easier. But not totally necessary so don't let it stop you if you can't tie high.

    I’m trying to learn two tricks do you have any suggestions for a trick to learn after the tantrum?

    • @Shaun.Murray
      @Shaun.Murray  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Have you learned to go Toeside wake to wake? bc a lot of people skip that. What about all of your 180’s

    • @jakefalcon3203
      @jakefalcon3203 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just haven’t tried to go right foot forward off the wake if that’s what you mean

    What is your recommended rope length

    • @Shaun.Murray
      @Shaun.Murray  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      For the one wake jump drills, about 17 mph is good for most boats.
